He watched the pooch expectantly, flicking just the tip of his tail as it hung lazily over the edge of the tree limb. If she could accomplish what he commanded of her, then his hopes would be assured. And she did. Before long, the air began to take on a deeper chill to it. It started to bite at his hide, the cold like flickers of an icy flame washing over his entire body. It made his muscles feel tight and sluggish, and he could even feel his heart begin to slow with the change in climate. Ghanyarah flicked his tongue, tasting the air, and it stung. Much like the ice he so adored, it felt comfortable, like home. He rumbled his pleasure. "How interesting." Ghanyarah mused out loud.
She could lower the temperature of the air. Make it cold, make it icy. In turn, it made his ice magic easier to control. It made him more comfortable and he imagined it would have similar effects on anybody else around to experience the temperature shift. Make them cold, slow their muscles. Maybe it would even make them uncomfortable where Ghanyarah felt like he was truly at home. The komodo slowly began to raise himself from the tree limb, adjusting his body so that he faced outwards towards the ground. He positioned himself and lunged, leaping a good five feet from the limb onto the muddy, snowy ground.
Ghanyarah had landed with a wet thump, sending gobs of half frozen mud. Once he landed, he took a few seconds to elevate from the ground, extending his limbs and stretching them. His head ever so slowly turned to her, curious and enlightened. "How do you do it? Whatever it is, it would be of great use to me. You see, I am of Ice." Ghanyarah explained, taking a step towards her. "Perhaps you are of Ice too? In some way?" He suggested thoughtfully. But no... she was capable of things he wasn't. "Show me how." He then added, though it was more of a command than anything. He would learn how to do this.
