Although the golems are lumbering closer and closer by the minute, neither of the gembounds have attracted the attention of the rock monsters. They continue down the shoreline, picking up anything they find before rejecting pebbles and stones into the river. As long as the pair keep their distance, they won't catch the chaotic wrath of these golems. After a moment, the golems veer away from the river and to the broken chrysalises, oblivious to the life watching them for now.

Khoridai had heard Valentine's words, but something just didn't seem right. These faceless creatures were lumbering along the river, not even paying attention to them. Khoridai glanced quickly to the equine hybrid before looking back at the Golems. His neck jerked back as he wrinkled his nose. They had suddenly moved and changed direction and as the scrambled for the Chyrsalis that belonged to Valentine he shouted his annoyance. "Hey! Those aren't yours!" He shouted as he jumped a few paces forward. Almost instantly, as if stirred by Khoridai's emotions, the gem upon his chest suddenly flashed and Khori instantly felt the surge of magic. The attack would be directed at the Golems before he even realized what was going on

Just as he said the words it seemed as if the golems weren't even paying them a bit of attention. Well, was he wrong about them? The colt squinted his eyes as he stared at the creatures going back towards his chrysalis to collect the shards. He didn't particularly care but Khori sure did. The dragon rushed towards the golems and began to yell at them. "Khori, is fine. Just... shards." Shards that he didn't particularly care about.

Valentine didn't want to really fight but if Khori invoked the wrath of the golems he would be right there beside him to help. So, the colt trotted up and stood right next to his friend. Eyes watching the rock-creatures carefully.

The blast was enough to send the shards flying and the golems tumbling. As the dust settled, it seemed rather quiet-- the golems lay on their sides for a moment, stunned. However, slowly the scraping sound of rocks moving against stone returns, the golems begin to get up. Although none of them have faces, one can simply tell the rock monsters have turned towards Khoridai now.

One of the golems loses interest quickly, instead reaching down to grab at more shards. The other two, however, begin to amble towards the children at a slow and steady pace.

As the blast struck the golems, Khori was first in shock. Then something welled up inside his chest. The feeling was brand new to Khori and he wasn't exactly sure what it was. Either way it made him feel great! Though, his attention was pulled away when the Golems suddenly picked themselves up and he lowered his head for a moment as his fur along his neck and spine began to bristle. He had heard Valentine's words, but he wasn't sure what to do about it. Two of those things were coming at them now. Slowly, sure, but they were still coming for them. "Who d'ya think ya are?!" He barked loudly, finding himself growing annoyed by the things' ever growing silence even as they lumbered towards them. A grow vibrated within his chest and once again he felt his gem flash against his chest. AGain! He would blast them again and show them that they were messing with the wrong gembounds!

Valentine was impressed with his brother's show of courage but he didn't know how well it was going to work with the rock-monsters. Like his friend next to him he prepared himself for a fight, head lowering and ears pinning as he stared at the golems while they got back up and lumbered towards them. His ear flicked towards Khori as he barked out his rhetorical question. He knew it wasn't mean for him but he couldn't help but answer, "They think they are golems... if they think anything at all." His first attempt at a joke in his life but it certainly wouldn't be his last.

The dragonhorse opened his mouth and prepared to unleash his own blast at the rock creatures to combine with his brother's own efforts.

Each blast is enough to keep the golems at bay for a moment, though the stone creatures seem invigorated by the blows. They keep coming, even as parts of them break off. The one who was holding back collecting shards abandons its task to join the pair, and together the three charge at the children.

He hadn't been gone for long, just a few hours so he could hunt outside of Polaris. The better cave deer to eat were in Eridanus so he chomped up his fill and prepared to go back to Polaris to search for the elusive werewolf and his child. That was when he saw the two children being set upon by the golems. His lips pulled back into a fierce snarl while he let out an angered roar to the heavens.

After he did that the dragon took off at a fast lope, straight at the golems. He didn't even have to know who the babies were, there was just some innate thing within him that knew that these were kin. Who else could they be? "Get away from them!" He snarled and at the last minute turned, sweeping his tail towards the rocks, aiming to break them apart with incredible force.

At first Khoridai was content to know that he was doing a good job at keeping the big rock monsters away, but suddenly it just didn't. All three of them turned to face himself and the dragon steed beside him. Rushing towards them with intent and a yelp of fear escaped the noodly wolf. He ducked his head down, unsure if he should run or not, but just as he was about to make up his mind a voice suddenly roared out. Demanding that the rock creatures leave them alone. His head swung up and wide pink eyes looked to the creature responsible for the noise. His mouth fell open as his eyes became even larger. A much, MUCH bigger verision of himself suddenly assaulted the golems, smacking them hard with his large powerful tail.

It took not even a second for Khoridai to know who this dragon was. This was his other father! The one Dami Father had spoken of! He was large! So much bigger than papa was! His fur was as white as his own and he even had pink horns too! Thhough, the larger drake caried blue fur where Khoridai carried obsidian. Khoridai began to wiggle with excitement as a serious of yips and yelps escaped him, as if calling the big dragon to him. "That's DADDY DRAGON!" He cried out excitedly as he louped forward only to fall back, torn between running over to the big dragon and keeping away from the scary golems. He swung his gaze towards Valentine with such an excited expression. "That is! That is!" He confirmed over and over, as if he couldn't believe he was finally seeing his other father.
