In the darkness among the soft heaps of moss, a huge chrysalis shutters and shifts in place. Suddenly, a large, round foot flies out, sending pieces of chrysalis everywhere. It starts to roll, then falls apart as a heavy baby elephant topples out. It takes her very little time to find her feet and stretch her body. Her little trunk searched her own face and mouth. She suckled on the end of her trunk while beginning to wander and explore parts of the cave that she was born into.

Gadana Ama would be this young elephants name. The meaning likely coming from the contents of her heart... but also possibly because she found mud and began to play and roll in it, making it her new favorite activity. Hours passed and alright she had grown a little. There was a lot of aging to do within her cycles.

Gadanai tromped around in a very pleased manner. Nothing seemed capable of stopped her, ears flailing, tail held up, and trunk reaching out... until the sound of a sickening crunch practically bounced off the walls. She froze dead in her tracks, but had an inquisitive look on her face. She slowly backed up and looked at what remained of a rat that ended up under her foot. It was disgusting, bloody, and an overall mess. This seemed to not phase the elephant, as she immediately plopped into it and rolled in the death much like she had in the mud. When done, she trotted off down a tunnel to explore her new playground.
