Euron spared a half a second of thought to be glad Ashtoreth had gone off-- he didn't want her to die, plaything that she was, and she hadn't looked in any state to fight. More than that, though, he was happy to focus on what was happening in front of him-- namely, a successful joint attack. If he could've taken a moment in the fight to high five his companion, he would've-- but, of course, there was a fight on, and it's not like either he or King had hands with which to high-five. It would have to remain a mental congratulations, then.

It was good, though, to be clever, and this was a good lesson: attacking in concert was better than attacking alone.

But the impetuous child was now biting his king's ear, and that wouldn't do at all. "Hey, that's playing dirty!" he shouted, childishly-- because doubling up on a single target was so fair-- and decided to distract her by smashing his head against her side.

There was too much noise. She hated listening to it-- it was different when she was the one getting hit, getting laughed at, getting broken. The blows deafened her. Being the one forced to the side, to listen, while Kings and his minion beat up on some other herbivore... It was unbareable. Even when Kings cried out in pain, it only made her feel worse.

She didn't want to listen to any of it. Exhausted, she gave her wings a flap, but the pain in her throat stung and she let out a cough, curling up so her back was pressed to the crystals she was hiding beside. She shoved her paws over her face, trying to stuff her ears, anything to escape. It was so much torture-- she just wanted to be far, far away from all of it.

Her teeth connected with flesh and she felt another grin spread around her hold on Kingsfoil's ear. She held fast as he twisted and recoiled, only adding to the (admittedly rather minimal) damage she was doing. The prince's cries were like music, fueling her drive to fight. She felt Euron shift on her left side, felt his head connect with her side. The pain was minimal (and the distraction less so), and she wondered dully if he was pulling his punches. But Kingsfoil was her main target, and he wasn't about to let her shift her attention. His front hooves flailed near her own, instantly slicing a line of flesh open just below her right knee. A scream ripped open her jaws, all thoughts of keeping her hold on the fawn's ear completely gone from her mind. Another kick met its mark and her right leg buckled under the combined pain and force.

She felt her stance shift instinctively to compensate for the lack of support from her leg, but her balance would certainly be compromised significantly. As if to dare her body to fall, Boar flexed her flanks and bent her back knees, twisting her back and slinging her left knee up violently. She'd only have the one shot, but she hoped beyond hope that her bent knee would catch him in the face before having to drop her left leg back down to keep herself from falling.

The pain of her flat teeth crushing his ear was excrutiating and he couldn't do much to free himself except kick which fortunately seemed to work. The young prince could feel a thrill of satisfaction course through him as his hoof opened a gash in her leg which elicited a scream from the female. Swiftly he jerked away, bouncing back a couple of inches to get his breath. It was a good thing he did too because one of the female's knees came up in an attempt to hit him but he was already out of range.

Kingsfoil probably would have laughed if his ear and nose wasn't throbbing so much. As it was he just wanted to finish off this peasant and kick her in the dirt to show her the error of her ways. No one injured a prince! Especially not the likes of her! He glanced over the girl's back to see his faithful companion still holding up the offensive. It did his heart proud that he actually had someone to help him out with the riffraff and from what he could see Euron was holding his own quite well.

Now that he'd caught somewhat of a breath the fawn rushed back in. When he was within range the kid turned swiftly and lashed out with his hind legs, hoping to catch her in the face. Hopefully in the nose that she had done to him.

Euron wasn't the heroic type, and he'd never call himself the brawling type, even if he was really really really enjoying this-- there was something in the kicking and hte punching and the flailing of limbs that he really enjoyed, even if the application thereof was not exactly skillful. It helped, too-- and made him angrier-- that his attacks, the last of which had barely even landed, were not drawing her attention away from his prince. At least when King's blows landed he felt a sort of savage joy; they were winning.

Of course they were winning, against the riffraff. Perhaps they should've done this in turns, their victory was so inevitable.

His last having not done much-- which was probably good, not that he was inclined to think about it in the heat of battle, since using your own head as a weapon could have some significant side effects-- he skittered to Boar's other side, not keen to get kicked by accident by Kingsfoil's attack and using Boar as an impromptu block from that potential accident and trying to attack her on an undefended side. He aimed a hard bite for her neck or torso, keen to get her anywhere soft and sensitive.

She tried again. Her body screamed, desperately, to conserve her energy. To just lay there and take it, but she couldn't. She couldn't handle the sound of flesh hitting flesh, of teeth gnashing and hooves stamping. It was too close, too real, and it sent her to a dark place. A place where her father sank his beak into a dead carcass and pulled out a skull, where he stomach flipped and she wanted to puke but there was nothing inside of her anymore.

The air felt sharper, suddenly. A noise like flesh tearing, of bones crunching beneath teeth, rippled out from the tiny carnivore. The hybrid shook violently, retching, as her body struggled against the lack of energy. It hurt, so much, listening to them fight. There was no escape, and the battle field began to sound like there were hundreds of horses and deer, tearing into one another, breaking each other-- and then, abruptly, it was back to normal.

Ash's eyes rolled back in her head, her vision cutting out as she fell limp on floor. It was too much-- but now, now she was free. If only for a little while, she would have a dreamless sleep. It was about as much peace as the child could get these days.

She had just enough time to see Kingsfoil wheel away as she thrust upward with her left knee, missing him completely. Damn. Her heart thudded in her chest and her breath came in huge, gasping waves. This was starting to look like more than she'd really bargained for. It was only for the momentary re-shuffling of bodies on the battlefield that she managed to catch her breath at all. As they shifted, so did she, twisting her body around to be somewhat more head-on with Kingsfoil. A flash of white nearly caught her off guard as the deer's hooves struck out at her face. She recoiled sharply, but they still cracked her across the right cheek. Pain radiated across that half of her face and she squeezed her eye shut against it.

But another, new pain tore her attention away. Euron had sidled up to her and reached out with gnashing teeth. His bite connected with the sensitive skin that made up the juncture of her thick neck and withers and pinched sharply.

"Leggo!" Boar squealed, body twisting away from the pain. Her back hooves lashed out in feverish kicks aimed at his legs or belly as desperation overwhelmed her. At least for the moment, her attention was finally entirely fixed on the colt.

If only he knew how much his fighting was torturing his plaything perhaps he would have cause to cease. Or rather, cause to cease and torture Ashtoreth all the more. As it was it might have been better that his attention was distracted.

His hooves connected with the side of the gal's face and he let out a cruel laugh, happy that he'd done some reasonable damage. He could see that Euron was chomping onto her neck and he grinned from ear to ear. "Yeah! Get her, Euron! Make her suffer for hitting the prince!" He goaded on his buddy. They had this thing in the bag!

Not to let this one off so easily the fawn lowered his rear legs briefly to catch his balance only to lash out again, this time trying to catch her in the nose so she could talk funny and be humiliated like he was! Fair was fair, after all.

Too busy with the fight to notice Ashtoreth's slip into unconsiousness, Euron felt a surge of victory when his teeth met soft flesh and held on. Lookit him, actually fighting! This was fun. He might've been inclined to reply to either Boar's complaints or Kingsfoil's encouragement, but his mouth was currently full of the flesh of the enemy, and so he just made some muffled noises that were probably agreement to Kingsfoil.

But he couldn't bite forever; Boar's kicking didn't meet much success, in terms of hitting his soft underbelly or his delicate colt legs, but they did certainly provide enough of an annoyance to make Euron let go. He skittered backwards, away from her flailing legs, taking a few minor blows below the knees that would later develop into mildly annoying bruising.

Euron didn't move much from his final position, just twisted where he was and lashed out in Boar's direction with both back legs, putting as much power as he could muster into the kick.

Exhaustion was seeping into her very bones, spreading through her body like a malignant wave. She'd already not eaten, and the exertion of fighting off two attackers (because at least in her mind this was a very brave and very valiant fight) was certainly taking its toll. Another swift kick from Kingsfoil caught her, this time along her broad snout, just where he wanted. Pain shot up across her face, nose immediately starting to swell slightly. As if her pitiful bleats weren't already sad enough. At least Euron had released his grip on her neck, if only to pivot and lash out at her with his hooves as well. But it seemed she at least had some modicum of luck left in this fight, because his well-powered kick barely clipped her side.

Sucking in a deep breath, she summoned every remaining ounce of anger and frustration and dwindling pride she had left. Her haunches coiled and she launched herself forward at Kingsfoil, flinging her entire body at him in some hope she could tackle him to the ground. It was Boar's Hail Mary; she was out of juice, and her only consideration now was that maybe she could take him down with her.

But in her desperation she flung herself just a tad too hard. The 'beest foal flew forward, entirely missing her intended target, only to smash face-first into a massive nearby crystal. The resounding crack was loud enough that Boar's last thought before she blacked out was fuck, I broke my face.
