ORIGIN - Death's Associate: Life

There it was; the chrysalis. Her chrysalis. It shivered and shifted, but wasn't quite ready. The body inside still had a little more growth, more need for the warmth within. The bloodstone crystals that helped form and hold it together cracked apart, showing she was almost done. Could happen any minute, but could also take a couple more days. It was always a gamble. For this yinehi, though, there was a want for something specific to happen, first...

Today, the amalgam was on her own. Ra'Riot didn't have to eat much. In fact, he had not eaten since their first meal together. He always told her he wasn't hungry. Maybe he was hunting on his own and not sharing! Well, she'd teach him! So, here she was.

Havoc scampered across the floor, little pink tongue flicking out every thirty seconds or so to taste the air for something other than the stagnant scents of Polaris. Then there was something else. Life? Curious, the hybrid approachd the odor and found a circular thing that was somewhat larger than her speckled with carmine and obsidian tones. Maternal instinct kicked in as she realized...

Egg.

With an insatiable desire to sit on it, she did. The raptor-esque critter hopped onto the top and made herself right at home, wrapping her long and pink tail around the shell. "Ra'Havoc is Ra'Ma," she cooed to the egg, hoping it would hear.

The tiny yinehi could heard the muffled sounds of life outside. The burst of warmth added to the outside of her egg gave her a little more strength and a lot more energy. Then the distinct voice pierced the thick shell. All of the kindness caused the egg to shift harder and shiver under Havoc. Inside, Gigatsuhali Yinehi began to work her body in effort to free herself from her hardened womb, once and for all.

With plenty of struggling, she felt the chrysalis give. Pieces broke away as she pecked and kicked, pushing out of it slowly. She wiggled from the hole made by her efforts, leaving most of her shell intact, surprisingly enough. She shook her head and propped herself up onto her belly, then struggled to open her eyes, feeling overwhelmed by how much brighter it was on the outside.

The creature was happily settled stop the heliotrope shell, tail wrapped about herself in a small set of coils. When suddenly. Something emerged. With one motion of the chrysalis collapsing, the amalgam fell right into the shell of the chrysalis, finding herself drenched in thick and thin albumen. Havoc wasn't even disgusted. In the shattered ruins of a shell, she peered around and saw something struggling out of the remains. It was birdlike, just like her! Perhaps a Ra'Dau or Ra'So!

Pushing her way out with strong legs, the raptor found herself back in the bright lights of Polaris. Thick globs of fluid dripping off her feathers, she eagerly hopped over to the much larger child and began to pick off bits of bloodstone from the yinehi. "Ra'Ma here," she cooed to the child.

There was a sound as she adjusted her sight to the world around her. When she looked to it, she found a rather odd bird come to her, covered in the goop she had spent her life-to-this-point in. The bird began picking her clean, which felt very comforting, to say the least.

"Ra... Ra'Ma?" she repeated. She blinked once, then smiled, blue eyes twinkling at the motherly bird. "Ra'Ma! she said again, excitedly this time. She stood moved to lay right next to Havoc, feathers fluffing out before settling again. "Yinehi."

The raptor methodically tugged shards of heliotrope from the downy fluff of the carrion-feeder, gently coaxing it from the slick material. Watching the vulture open her glassy blue eyes, she melted. So beautiful! This was her raptor child! As it exclaimed her new name, she smiled happily and nuzzled the downy ball's beak. Even her beak was compiled of gem, just like her. Havoc finished plucking the shards from her newly adopted child's feathers and stretched a winglet over her (much larger) child. Her... yinehi? Perhaps that was their name. "You a little Yinehi?" Strangely... that name fit.

Giga blinked a few times, the began to observe her new world. It was so... big. She looked back at the hybrid with wings, enjoying the care of someone who considered her a child of their own. When Havoc stretched a small wing over her, Giga snuggled into the raptor and started preening her. Yinehi she was; a fairy of the world, although not necessarily a glittery little person. The Fairy Vulture would eventually become her alias, a title or epithet that would sing true to her nature. For now, though, she was just a newborn who needed to adjust.

"Ra'Ma," she breathed. Fairy wouldn't forget her. Never ever. She was Ra'Ma now, and no matter how much smaller Havoc became, she would remain her hatching parent. Havoc had successfully imprinted on her - kindness and all. The chick felt a ping of hunger in her stomach. Instinct had her throw her head upward and open her beak at Havoc, waiting for food to be brought forth via scavenger's mouth.
