Crrraaaaack!

A loud sound reverberated inside the walls of his home, jarring him awake, alive. The dog stared through the confines of his home but he couldn't see anything - just the walls of his home. The dog blinked and tried to refocus to no avail, so he grew more curious. Using his hind legs he pushed on the wall of his home and the structure collapsed under the pressure and he spilled out onto the floor, a wet mess of splotchy fur. He coughed, a loud hacking cough as if he inhaled some of the fluid he was birthed in, but actually, the sudden oxygen stung his new lungs. His coughing settled and he felt a dtrange sensation under his chin, causing him to tilt his head upwards as if it'd help him see the gem that was tucked under there.

He could feel that someone was there. His vision hadn't yet focused to the lighting and new air, so he couldn't atually see anyone around. Weak legs helped the boy stand, his knees wobbly and new. He collapsed once, his legs not agreeing with him just yet. With a subtle curse, a "Shit!!", he tried again and finally, he stood when he gained mostly full control of his legs.

From this new angle he looked around, knowing someone was here, but where?

She just kept on coming back to this place, didn't she? Must be the beautiful scenery, or even the crystal clear waters? Or was it that shire? The way it glowed blue and made her feel so charged up with energy? Who really knew, since she didn't know much herself and just let her feet carry her down the tunnels and back to Polaris. Dropping her nose to the floor, she began to sniff around at the many scents in the area; curious about what each trail could lead her to . . . but then something caught her ear.

Crackkk

Head jolted up and Nova locked her eyes onto the direction it was coming from, I should go see!. Darting off, the puppy was slowly growing but still never much a pup. Ears bounced on her head as she saw something move, a rock? Could it be? It had to be, but would she really get to witness this? Thistle had told the Schnauzer about how she and every other gem came from large rocks like these; just like Nova had. Walking closer, nose extended out to sniff the air as the shells were broken apart by the little gem inside.

The first thing she saw were those long legs wobbly and collapse the little one to the floor. Nova held her breath, unable to believe she was able to witness such a thing. And the first thing the little one said was very humerus, causing the pup to giggle. "Hey you." Standing about a foot or so away, grinning at the spotted pup. He sort of looked like her, both had ears, muzzles, paws and front facing eyes . . . he was a dog too!

"I'm Nova . . . can you think of your name?" Little tail nub wiggled behind her, eager to learn who they were and maybe be what Thistle was to her, to this gem. A best friend, or even a big sister? Who knew! Maybe even help him get stronger!

He knew he wasn't alone!

The pup turned his head in the direction he heard the other coming from and soon saw a dark shape, another dog, coming towards him. She offered him gentle words with a soight laugh, confusing the soon-to-be bratty child. His head tilted as she spoke, introducing herself and asking about his name. Name?

He thought for a minute, forming sounds in his head until he came up with a name. "Ozzy... Ozias!" he started at first, then he came up with even better, a cooler variation. He scanned the other pup then, noticing her height. She wasnt much older than he, Ozias inspected, but she was taller. Her face still screamed puppy as did his, but she was still older. He didnt know how he really knew, though.

"Where are we?" he questioned, looking around the large room. He noticed a river and a tall structure in the distance, and the room was well lit. He didnt see any others though, so he wondered where they were. They couldnt be alone, right?

@nova crappy post sorry!! Havent gotten the hang of him yet

So many things were darting in her mind, I can show him all over . . . Take him back to meet Thistle maybe? She would love him for sure, she likes everyone she meets. Baroque would probably like him to, but what was impotent was for Thistle to meet her new friend. At least, her goal was to make him her friend. Eyes locked on her target now, ready to begin her speech how finding him made him her responsibility and yatta yatta, but he spoke his name and the pup leaned in to listen.

Ozzy . . no, Ozias. Nodding to herself, "Well Ozias, I think they call this place Polaris; but this isn't the only room here." Glancing about around the two. "There are a ton of rooms like this that are c0onnected together. Pretty awesome really, and each room is different." Trying to not get carried away off topic to much, turning to face the new pup. Giving him a huge smile, trying to look friendly, Nova walked over and sat right in front of the boy.

"Since you're pretty new to this place, you should probably buddy up and make a friend. For safety reasons, and since I'm the only one here right now. I guess it's going to have to be my job." Nodding a matter-a-factly to Ozzy. "If that's alright with you, that is . . ." Opening one eye, glancing over at him with that purple stare. Please say yes.

Polaris? That sure was an odd name for a cave, but she mentioned there were more so he hoped there were better names. This place was really cool though, so he kept his thoughts to himself. Besides, maybe this dog lived here.

This dog liked to talk though and so she continued abou lt having a buddy. Seemed like a good idea, but he wasn't sure. Would she continue to rattle on like this or would it slow down after a while? Ozias himself didnt have much to say, at least not now. Before long the bratty kid would have a lot to say about everything, especially the stupid stuff.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." he nodded once, deciding getting lost would be a pretty bad thing. He didn't know if he could trust this dog to not get them lost, but he had to have some hope.

When the newbie agreed to being her friend, the black dog grinned wide. Both with happiness to a new friend and from satisfaction in getting them to agree. Silly really, but this was for the good of both of them. "Perfect." Turning on her back feet to turn away from the pup. "Now, you need to answer me one thing." Glancing over her shoulder to make sure he was listening. "I'm training to become strong, you are welcome to train with me but be aware I won't be easy on you."

Turning back around, meeting him eye to eye, "Being strong is important in these caves, you are ether strong or have someone strong to protect you. Which will you be?" This would be the key to see if she would get along with the pooch. If he wanted to be the strong, she would happily help him train. Her purple gaze was deep on him, waiting for his response.

He tilted his head as she continued talking, hoping that giving her undivided attention would make her shut up. It would be hard, but worth a shot. So when she turned and looked back at him, his attention was unwavered as she spoke and asked him a simple question - strong or weak?

The answer was easy for Ozias, he never wanted to be weak! "Strong, of course." It was a stupid question, obviously, but he supposed this lesser dog couldn't read minds. Neither could he, of course, but that wasn't the point.

This pleased the black dog and she hoped they could form a rapport relationship where both of them could benefit from each other. "Good, just make sure you don't get lost." Not wanting to seem to soft on going to go look for him if he did get separated from her, "Any questions?" Hoping to get any questions out of the way, she wasn't one to slow down as she explored. Nova was always on the move and always testing her magic. What of his magic?

She would bring that up later, for now she was all ears for anything he would have to say.

"...don't get lost." That was good enough for Ozzy to keep close to the schnauzer, keeping at her left flank as she questioned some more, though this time allowing him the questions. Ozzy didn't have any though, and replied with a slight shake of his head and a grunt that sounded something like a negatory response. He didn't know much about this world, but he didn't know what to ask. He would ask as they moved along, and questions relating to his experience can be formed. For now, Ozias was simply ignorant and willing to follow Nova where ever she were to lead him.

When the painted pup didn't give any questions, Nova took it as a sign that he understood. Great. Black dog trotted down the tunnel with Ozias trailing not to far behind. If he spoke up, she would turn back to him with all ears but as of now it seemed the two would be going on a little tour of the room and tunnels all around. Can't wait to find Thistle. So she could meet the freshie to the caves, but the gazelle would always be on the top of her list. No need to worry.

Ears would slow stay erect this time, instead of bouncing about; it seemed the pup was growing up. As long as Ozias kept up, she would take him around the caves and maybe help him get a better understanding on the world they were all born into. Who knows, maybe he might want to meet Ghan and learn how to fight as well? But that would be in good time.
