GRASSY
Romeo came over, worried and fretting with that beautiful alpenglow coming out of his chest and Grassy couldn't help the budding giggle in her throat. She noticed him staring, though, and found herself twisting up on herself to see what he was looking at. "Oh!" She peeped, eyes wide as always-- that happened when you didn't have real eyelids-- touching her snoot to a blade of grass that had wiggled into her scales.
"What's all this? How'd you do that? Hello, fellow Grass! Ehehe..." She batted a smile back towards Romeo, feeling a tingling across her nose. Maybe she had to sneeze too? The tiny noodle rolled up into a ball and exhaled, flicking her tongue. "Isn't this place wonderful?"
Be like the single blade of grass. For she too, has been trampled on, mowed down, and hit with such bitterly cold stretches that she had to shut down to survive. Yet still she stands upright with dignity, knowing that she endures... and still she dances with the wild wind.
@Romeo , sorry its so short ;o;

Romeo took another quick check to make sure that the noodle was alright, and in that time it squeaked and tried to follow his gaze. It gently nosed at one of those odd little blades that had lead Romeo to worry she'd been impaled, and to his mild concern she seemed as surprised as he was.
"Me? Uh... I don't think that was my doing," he said uncertainly, unsure of whether the little snake was talking to him or just to herself. She let out a little chuckle, and Romeo mimicked it, relaxing fully now he knew the little thing was totally fine. It was in response to her words too that the tanuki finally paid attention to the world he'd emerged into, looking around to see all the green leaves and mosses, the ferns, and small mirror-like pools of water set nearby.
His first true look at the Origin cave was a nice one, to say the least. "Why... Yes," he murmured softly. "It is, isn't it?"

GRASSY
"Not you, silly!" Grassy corrected with a bright green, reaching up in a poor attempt to touch her snoot to the mammal's own cold nose. "I was talking to the other grass." The snake tilted her head, breathing in the sweet air through the pores in her snout. She then relaxed down, curling up around herself, and she stared around at the world with her new friend.
"It's just perfect. My new home... I wonder what this place is... How many others there are. I haven't met many who talk like you do, it's... It's nice to have a friend," her voice turned to a quiet sincerity that was unusually sensitive for her regular behavior. She was usually so bouncy and bright and joyful-- yet now she seemed to have finally settled down, a gentle smile across her expression.
Grassy was sure that she could just stay here forever and become one with the rest of the grass. "Romeo, I think this is the most beautiful place in the whole world. It's really quite fitting that Handsome Romeo was born here." She had been born in the place with the river, but it was because of that river that she found herself here.
Sometimes, everything just worked out, didn't it...?

"Speech"
Romeo tipped his fluffy head to one side. He didn't say it, but he wondered inwardly who else there was to talk to. He was about to look around but his question was soon answered and he was glad he hadn't. That's... one way to make friends I suppose. But... what do I know?
The little snake reached up, but missed his nose by a mile.
Romeo wasn't quite sure whether the grass was living or not. But they had no voices and... well, truth be told, Grassy didn't look much like the 'other' grass. He found it a little strange but, truthfully, the raccoon dog didn't know enough about the world to comment. "Well, uh, if you say so!" Romeo said with a small chuckle. The little thing curled up in a noodly little ball.
"Yeah," he agreed with a small nod. What a place to take their first steps and see their first sights. It was a lot to take in, almost too much. Then; "There are other places?" curiosity rose in his chest.
"Y-yeah. I'm glad I wasn't on my own here. looks like a place ya could lose yourself." Another little compliment. Romeo's chest swelled, his heart fluttering with pride under his beautiful gem. "Oh, you think so?" he asked politely. "O-of course!"
