The black pup sniffed at the ground, taking in all the scents that covered the floor. She wasn't even sure that she would catch the scent but it was so. Nova took one last inhale of her target, smirk formed onto her face. I got this. Turning to look back at her best friend and newest friend. Giving a motion of her head, "Come on! I think there is something this way!" And the young one was off, dashing past the gembounds in this tunnel and towards the room full of stars.

OOC: short/exit

@Ozias @Thistle
ooc - sorry ita short!

Ozzy looked at the rocks at his feet, certain that these didn't belong to this particular statue or any one thing in general. His attention turned to Nova when she called upon him amd thistle to join along, not to mention anyone else that took it as an open invite. At least, Ozzy hoped it wasn't and open invite.

He abandoned his place among the shattered rocks and follwed after Nova, wondering what made her to decide to go this way. He kept his mouth shut for now, other than his panting, and decided to ask when they got there. It was hard for the younger boy to keep up, but he tried his best to stay ahead of Thistle and at the older dog's flank, determined to be stronger, faster, and just better than the prey animal.

it seemed that his attempt at getting the attention of the gathered gembounds proved to be an ultimate fail, instead they ignored him or even dared to look back towards him with looks of disdain. quintus's sky blue eyes would clash with the midnight blue eyes of the strange beast not daring to turn away then again would it be wise to anger the beast even further? eventually, the stranger would turn around causing the lion to exhale all the pent up breath in his lungs, about time, i was getting tired of looking at your ugly mug. he would then continue to explore what happened to be in front of him hoping that his companion was doing the same in hope that the cat would discover something that he did not. obviously quintus had doubts that the statue happened to be one of utzotl knowing that utzotl was merely the name of a constellation in the roof of orion that he and bartos had made after all it could merely be a regular old statue of a goat, but then again nobody in these caves really knew much about the secrets that origin cave had hidden so why not have theories? the gembound would notice a kitten ranting on about stones not talking and instead of dismissing him as quick as nemesis did an instant interest on the kitten started budding up inside of him causing the lion to towards the focusing feline, his magic might prove useful. "please try harder and tell us what you see kid," hopeful eyes would continue to beam towards the kit's petite frame in hope that he would be able to give him an answer to the various questions that he was asking himself.

Bartos had stuck close to Quintus, unwilling to venture further away from the lion betond a few steps aside. He had felt cautious about leaving his children behind in Pisces, but the Songcats had assured him they would be well cared for. He trusted Leon and Makyna, and his own wife to a degree, though something inside of him seemed uneasy to settle. Something could happen... But he shook his head and pushed the thought aside. He couldn't live the rest of his life worrying over hypotheticals. He had to have faith. And so Bartos hobbled carefully after the lion, lingering slightly behind as they came upon the group. They seemed to be inspecting a statue of some sort... The cat craned his neck, peering up at the broken statue when Quintus pointed out that it looked like it could be Utzotl. He laughed quietly. "I don't know. Looks a little too sinister to be Utzotl. I always though of Utzotl as a peaceful..."

His voice trailed off, whether in realization of the lack of importance of whatever he was rambling about, or distraction. A lot seemed to be happening here, the rhino was staring Quintus down and Bartos edged closer to his friend's legs. Nova, he recognized, and Thistle, were inspecting the statue as well when they had caught a scent and bounded away with another canine. Meanwhile, Quintus was urging another cat, younger, to tell them of a vision. He remained quiet, watching curiously from beneath Quintus.

There was a lot going on, and suffice to say that when the pup and her friends and followers running off, she had decided she had enough of this tunnel. The rhinoceros turned to return to go home, back to Monoceros. "Come on, Illiad, and whoever your friend is... You too, Howl," she instructed the children curtly, walking off with the impatience of someone who was overwhelmed by senses. Too much noise, too many others. She just wanted to be home and leave the aftertaste of over-stimulation behind.

When she reached Monoceros, she glanced back with a frown and realized the children hadn't followed her. In fact, she didn't see them anywhere. A grumble crackled through her chest as she considered hunting them down... But if it meant getting flooded by more babies than she could shake a horn or three at, she wasn't sure she was particularly in the mood.

Nova had smelled something apparently, some sort of clue to the secret of the statue, but Thistle's enthusiasm for it had died down. Nova's new friend had been glaring at her this entire time, and the crush of gems and the shouting and fighting were making her incredibly uncomfortable. She had other things to do, a quest of her own to follow, and though she had seen Nova...she didn't want to be around her best friend when she was feeling so unrightfully melancholy. Nova didn't do anything wrong, after all. Thistle had even encouraged her to make new friends, and that's exactly what she did.

No, she had something she needed to do, to go and find this 'Cetus', the dispatch from the pretty white doe, and now that there was pretty much nothing to do here, she left quietly. She wasn't needed, after all.

Her snide little remark had caught the giant's attention, just as Boar knew it would. She skittered backwards instinctively as a massive horn was swung her way, only just managing to avoid being solidly smacked. Instead Nemesis' annoyed motion resulted in a not-so-gentle shove, luckily countered well enough by Boar's momentum in that general direction. The calf sneered, but before she could think of a good comeback, the room suddenly began to thin out. She glanced around hesitantly. It was apparent that a few of them had figured out something to do with the statue, and were heading off. Boar looked to it again, finally realizing that they were probably searching elsewhere for the missing pieces. So the answer wasn't to break it more... She tossed her head, almost considering asking the trinoceros where a good place to look would be, but she'd already disappeared. The calf frowned, but picked a direction and set off that way in confidence. Unknowingly, she was trotting right behind Nemesis.
