ORIGIN - Little Star

The princess was nestled safely inside her yellow home, the topaz reflecting light and appearing to sparkle somewhat as the light danced on its edges. Inside, there was a wolf pup that was beginning to wake, stirring in her chrysalis and pressing against the edges of her shrinking bed.

The topaz was cracking around her and later rather than sooner, the structure would collapse, spilling the child out on to the ground as fragments of stone laid around her. She coughed, breathing air for the first time as her golden eyes opened and squinted, taking in the light. Looking around, she didn't see anything other than the massive room of which she was born in, not really close to anything like the river or the tall blue thing. She blinked and grinned as she looked around, gathering herself and rising on her paws. Although wobbly, she moved away from her chrysalis and farther into the room just a bit, looking around in complete awe. Everything was so pretty!

Silently Arkrael sat beside the river bed. Dual-colored eyes peered into the water and observed, not just the fish, but herself as well. She studied the scars along her shoulder, each long, jagged, stripe given by two seperate creatures. Her appearance had changed drastically since the last time she had looked into the Crystal river. A dark shadow loomed over her heart, a strange whisper echoing in the back of her mind. Ever since her encounter with the snow-white deer back in the Tunnel things had felt strange.

There was that ever sound of whispering words. The sound mumbled and barely able to recognize anything it was saying. But it made her go numb every time she heard it. The longer she stared at the reflection looking back at her the more her mind began to create an adumbrate. The image of someone long since gone began to shimmer into memory. A young face next to her reflection in the water. Those king, steel blue eyes staring at her in a way she could barely remember now.

It caused her heart to twist and thud painfully against her ribs and Arkrael had to rip her gaze away from the water. Hackle's began to bristle as the front of her lips peeled back to expose the front view of fangs. Emotions stirred, causing that whispering voice to chatter even more. She shook her head, almost desperate to rid her mind of the sound that picked and clawed at her. It was then that she heard it. The sound of a Chrysalis breaking. Her audits jumped into attention as she turned her head up, staring off to the distance behind her.

Slowly she rose to her large paws and pivoted in her spot. She stood there a moment longer just to listen before she finally decided to head towards the noise. It wasn't long before her gem hummed to life, vibrating against her chest as it called to the gem stone of another gembound. She felt many others lingering within Polaris, but it wasn't long before she found the one she was searching for. Fresh. Young. A smile warmed her otherwise darkened features as she moved towards the feeling.

Soon she was upon the pup. Onyx and emerald eyes looked over the white pelted pup. A pure young wolf pup. She padded closer to the puppy, her chest rumbling with a thoughtful noise. "Greetings, little one," She cooed to the puppy gently, nudging her nose against the small puppies side almost as if she were checking to make sure the thing was okay. "My Calling is Arkrael," She introduced herself after a moment. She didn't want to overwhelm the new puppy, but she hoped that with them both being wolves that this little one would only find warmth in her presence.
