@Eosphoros ( @Eira will join later)
Dew glazed the ceiling roof of a tunnel exit. One droplet of the dew travelled down the wall, where a tiny alcove lay. In the alcove was a red panda, lonesome in his slumber. The droplet of dew let go of its grip on the wall and hit the small sleeping panda right on his nose, much to his displeasure.
Kimen woke up. The wetness of his nose was bothersome but unimportant. What bothered him most was that his companion, Eira, was not at his side. For the first time since he hatched from his crystalis, Kimen was alone. He started worrying, had she been stolen from him? Would she be back? He had a thousand questions panicking him and he couldn't wait around for answers.
He began raising his body off of the floor, this was always a taxing process for him. He managed to push himself up with relative ease at first, but just as he was standing... click... The bone in his shoulder where his gem was imbued had clicked in place, becoming stiff and immovable. He hit the floor, collapsing as his stiff foot couldn't handle the weight he put on it. He sighed, clearly annoyed.
Part of him knew this would happen, he had walked down the tunnel without much difficulty after all, but it still annoyed him greatly.
Last time this happened Eira was there to help him stand. This time there was no one around for miles, he supposed. He knew that his struggle was lonely and that he'd have to find a solution by himself.
But for now he was alone and immobile, his biggest fear ever since he hatched, with no idea how to get himself out of this difficult situation. Perhaps his deity would save him? She named him, she spoke to him and she was the one who was going to fix his shoulder, surely she could help him now.
He waited to see if his deity would come to him, just as she had before, but his impatience allowed waiting no longer. He was annoyed now. His deity really did pick her times. Annoyed, he quickly decided to try standing again, finding the determination that had fuelled most of the actions in his life. It was his last scrap of determination, built off of his promise to himself to never give up like he did when he first hatched. The thought of giving up was pathetic to him. It left a bad taste in his mouth every time he remembered his past failings.
He rose, putting more pressure on his hind legs and using his good front paw only for balance. He put no pressure on his clubfoot. It took a couple of attempts but eventually he was sitting on his hind legs and could shuffle about a little from there.
He climbered out of the alcove and noticed that he was sleeping right next to the cave exit. He wandered for a little, stumbling and tripping occasionally. Eventually he was well within the mysterious new place and decided to shout for his companion.
"EIRA!" He shouted, the first time he had raised his voice in his life.
