Romeo hummed softly to himself as he wandered through the streets of Orion. Part of him felt that he was well and truly lost here, whilst the rest simply enjoyed admiring the scenery and keeping a careful eye out for treasures that might be lying about in well-placed nooks and crannies, a little like how he'd found his noise-maker some time back.

Speaking of his noise-maker, even now the wooden object hung heavy on his back. Progress was slow and his legs were starting to ache. He knew that he'd feel better if he wasn't weighed down all the time and constantly having to stop and rest, but Romeo didn't want to leave the instrument somewhere that someone could simply find it and take it. It was the thing that sufficed for a voice when there was no-one around to talk to, and brought the life to a room when it was silent and dead.

In addition, it was also an outlet for everything Romeo had. When he was annoyed, he could make it sound annoyed too. When he was happy,he could use it to raise his spirits even further.

The young one finally came to a halt beside a funny-shaped rock, deciding that this was as good a place as any to stop and rest. Without a moment's hesitation he allowed the noise-maker to slip off his back and slide onto the floor beside him. The raccoon dog stretched out all his limbs and sighed with relief before he settled down as well.
The pup was pretty unsure how he got here, but he was certainly glad to have wound up in such a magnificent room. He yipped at the sight of stars in the ceiling, then jogged around, sniffing everything and darting around like a bullet. He was full of energy, ready to play with anyone. He was growing lankier and heavier, a little taller everyday, it seemed. After skidding to a stop, he sniffed their air, nose upward. Something grabbed Menzier's attention; the reaction produced was several steps forward, then looked off toward the right to find some movement.

Menzier jumped forward and bounded toward whoever was nearby, nearly crashing into the other and the rock he was trying to rest near. To his relief, he managed to not run over the relaxing raccoon dog. He panted heavily, looming with no regard to personal space. His tail wagged hard, lifted upward. "Hello!" he chimed loudly.

His relaxation was short lived, and it was cut short first by almost being tripped on (Romeo snatched up his noise-maker before they could step on it too) and then by a big, slobbering creature towering over him. He misinterpreted its intent for a moment and his ears flattened with fear, but then quickly realized that he was mistaken. Their tone of voice, whilst overly excitable, wasn't aggressive.

The raccoon dog carefully put down his noise-maker, trying his best to look dignified as he did so. He placed a paw to his heart and drummed his claws on his gem as he slowly cooled down, his heart beating visibly fast under the glassy window.

"Well, ah, hello there!" Romeo said as he calmed, taking a deep breath and glancing around. "Who might you be?"

They'd scared him, true, but any voice was certainly better than silence, and theirs was just as interesting as anyone else's. Every voice was so unique!

The raccoon dog's tail twitched expectantly but calmly as Romeo tried to retain an air of dignity.
