It took a lot of time to return, but it was the only place she could ever fathom doing such important work. Polaris had it's own dangers and risks, but it was still home. It was where she was born, hatched from a chrysalis of bloodstone. Now, she remained a host to something else. A virus that was not a negative product. Inside, it stirred, yearning to be more than just a devourer of infectious bacteria. Today, she felt, was the day to provoke it's evolution into just that: something more.

The vulture had to make a good bit of effort to fly, but she did so with success, finding her high perch where she sat last time she performed this exhausting spell. With a final look around, taking in every intimate detail of her surroundings, she settled in and took in a deep breath. Slowly, her eyelids hid her bright blue eyes, enclosing them in a calm darkness. Her breathing slowed, body relaxed, and wings dropped slightly with her head.

Gigatsuhali Yinehi was indeed a fairy, performing such magick that could save the lives of others. A vulture meant to scavenge and devour, did what she could to limit the number of bodies that would be available to her. It was a goal that was settled deep in her heart and soul, which meant it also owned her mind. Heal all. It was a power that no one else was likely to behold, not that she would ever believe that. This was a bird sure that everyone is capable of something great, even if it lasts only a moment. For that, all lives are worth saving.

Magick flicked like a match, her beak sparkling and glowing. The virus within split apart, some of it settling in some corner of her innards for safe keeping. The rest was important and valuable. She focused hard on it, imagining something more powerful. It began to warp, twist, push, pull... the molded into something else entirely, becoming more powerful than what it had been before. She released the breath she hadn't realized she was holding, the formation of this new virus coming to a close.

The magick spit twice more, then faded. It was done. Her new virus had successfully been formed, now settled warmly within to be incubated 'til needed. Giga opened her eyes, blinking hard at the light she felt like she hadn't seen in ages. Her body was tired, but she was full of excitement. With a stretch of her wings, she was marked with the end of her triumphant spell.

This virus was special. It would be able to destroy life-threatening entities in a body. The only example she'd been able to think of is something like cancer, but chances were, she'd eventually find other things to use it for. The strength of it gave her pride and joy. Between the two viruses she now incubated, she could accomplish a lot. She was a closer to her ultimate virus.
