ORIGIN

Something about this day struck a wondrous chord with the ever-growing monster. She was out early, gathering a bouquet of colorful plants for someone special. Large, colored leaves, blooming buds, blossomed flowers, and oddly shaped foliage went into this trunk-full of a present. She returned just before she figured Jasmine was awake. To her delight, the darling was still snoozing.

Quietly, she moved in, smiling widely. She loomed over her treasure, wishing she could pet her, but was stuck with a bunch of flowers, instead. She cleared her throat, then rumbled a little. It seemed to not accomplish much, unfortunately. So, she chose to speak: "My beloved treasure, I have something for you."

The young adult was curled up on the grass bed, sound asleep and probably looked so peaceful. Ears twitched a bit between exhales. What could the giraffe be dreaming of? It didn't matter tho, since a soothing voice was calling her away from dream-land. "Hmmm?" Eyes slowly fluttered open, seeing first the cluster of plants held in the grey females trunk. "Oh . . are these for me Gada?" Untwisting her neck to raise it to eye level to the other. She couldn't help but smile at the offer. Despite the event that had gone on a few weeks back, they both held strong.

Jasmine gazed up to her protector, watching as the elephant had slowly grown. They could look eye to eye when she was laying on the ground. "These are so beautiful, thank you." Leaning to bless a soft kiss to the others trunk.

Triumph. Jasmine was now in a good mood with her. Gadanai nestled the bouquet on the bed next to her treasure, then gently petted her love's neck. She locked her eyes on the green orbs of Jasmine, smiling intently. Within, something deep stirred. It was hard to explain, but it was something she could only encourage. Her eyes drooped, then closed softly, the power of it not incredible, but definitely there. Her uterus pulsed, the magick swimming. Before she knew it, something seemed to click into place.

All at once, emotions, thoughts, and senses that were not her own flowed into her body. She shot her eyes open, pupils shrinking dramatically. She collapsed to her knees, heaving a little, but luckily not vomiting (if she even could in the first place). The nausea passed quickly, however. She settled herself down, laying where she fell and adjusting so she was comfortable. She smiled at Jasmine, lovestruck and prideful. Gadanai could feel the connection she'd been yearning for. Now, she just needed to wait, to see just how strong she would be in this mental struggle.

The moment they both were sharing was so simple, so sweet and was quickly cut short with a pulse of magic. Wha . . . This feeling inside, a connection to the other, like someone had tossed a harpoon into her chest and tied the two of them together. Permanently. The giraffe had thought the baseline for their love was strong, if not stable, but now it was something more. Watching Gada fall to their knees before her, Jas quickly leaned in closer to make sure that she was alright.

Though, as she gazed into the red eyes of her love, Jasmine felt something unlike before. Why do I feel so heavy? The pull on her heart was strong, weighing her down and close to the other. There were new feelings that seem to rush in, ones not her own. No, they were something darker. Cold. Strange. The left chills along her spine.

"Gada . . ." At a lose for words as her green gaze fell onto the other, leaning her head closer. ". . . I feel strange."

This was an unspeakably intense situation. In the back of her mind, Gadanai felt her gem prod the information to her. Sensorial Link. Her smile stayed strong, never wavering or fading. The sound of her name being spoke strengthened her attention on her treasure. Something wicked brewed within, her instincts telling her that now, Jasmine could never be freed from her grasp.

"I feel it, too. A bond that has sewn us together. A strangeness I find myself fond of." Her words flowed easily, excitement in her tone. She touched Jasmine's gem, then moved her touch up Jasmine's neck. Her mind was busy with terrible things. Images of torturing Jasmine, with both of them enjoying it in their own ways. Memories of herself slaughtering the innocent deer. The fight with Feral. The battle with Nemesis. Every scar's reason and every cause for the reddish stains on her tusks.

Jasmine had officially been given the front seat to Gadanai's monstrous mind. Here, there was no refunds... no escape.

Whatever her dear grey love had done, it had an aggrandize effect on the bond the two shared. Something that pulled them closer, so strange. And so frightening. Many of these feelings were not from her originally. No, these were something new, foreign. Deep in her neck, in her gem, she somehow knew this was the affect from magic. Something she could never create herself. Did Gada do this? Jasmine knew the grey female was getting stronger with each day, learning to master their magic over the air; but this was something so new.

Green eyes flickered as the strange emotions didn't stop, not completely sure what she was feeling at first. Like a tug-o-war inside. These emotions were happy, joyful, almost sickening sweet but they didn't match what the giraffe would have felt for the faded memories. Jas would have felt fear, surprise and shock. "Gada . . ." Trailing for a moment, she wanted to say she didn't understand; but something in her said that would have been a lie. She did understand, at least, a little.

Maybe the shock of the veil being lifted was so strong, but the tall female could only gaze at her dearest and find that she could not look away. Whatever this bond did, it made her understand even if she didn't wish to. "These feelings . . . are they yours?" Finding that the words were whispered into the large ear of the other.

The feelings of her protector continued to drip into her mind, but the innocents of her own thoughts seem to muddle out to much of the truth and kept it covered. It could be that her own mind was trying to protect her from the real Gadanai, so she would still feel safe near the elephant. Jasmine wasn't sure how to process these new feelings, so she leaned her head against the other. Head was spinning, the connection that was created left her feeling woosy. So much spinning.

Green eyes squinted a little, focusing on the grey skin of the other. "Your feelings . . . they are so heavy." Putting a weight on her head, but was feeling better leaning on the other.

Despite being such a tall creature, the female felt so small next to Gada. It could be that compared, she was rather frail and thin where her protector was strong, thick and powerful. She keeps me safe. Right? After all, nothing bad has happened to her yet . . and as long as she stayed with her love then the giraffe would stay safe. That was what the scar was for right? To help protect her?

Just as she was getting comfy, being so close . . a space formed before the two and the warmth was gone. Oh? Opening her eyes to look up as Gadanai loomed over. A game? Jasmine stayed down for now, not wishing to loom over her love. In this position, her head just came up to the others red gaze. Gada has grown so much since the grey female found Jas in Orion. "Hide and seek?" Something in her gut, no, in their connection, told her that might be the game they spoke of. The idea formed a smile to her lips, enjoying the idea of them playing again.
