From deep within the cave of Cetus, a pink chrysalis, made of Morganite, began to crack. Splinters appeared, and before long, a small caracal tumbled out. They scrambled up and looked around. They could hardly see anything, it was so misty. It was wet where they stood, much to their annoyance. The gave a shake and began walking, taking a single step forward.
Clack!
They froze. What was that? After some time, from which they heard nothing, they took another step. No sound. Another...
Clack!
There it was again. It only came when they stepped with their right paw... They sat down and looked at their right paw. Sure enough, it was pink, and made of a shiny substance. They sat on their haunches and managed to look at the other paw and see that the claws were black before they fell over, unbalanced. They quickly scrambled back up and looked around, eyes narrowed. How were they supposed to do anything when it was so misty? They gave a huff of disapproval, but began walking. They sheathed their claws, but the pink ones still poked out a bit and gave a faint clink against the ground with each step.
As they walked along, they wondered if anyone was nearby. They sniffed the air, but it was near impossible to find out if anyone was nearby, much to their annoyance. Maybe they'd find someone later. For now, they began walking, hardly being able to see more than a foot in front of them.
