In the wide open of one of the smallest caves, a chrysalis lay. It was bright pink and had many sharp points and ridges. The being that lay in side was eager to be out and to learn of the vast world around it, but instead it waited with a patience that was far from tested.
Nor would it be as a crack broke across the gems surface, allowing the escape of what lay inside. Using its front legs to pull itself up. It had been meditating in the chrysalis for sometime, thinking about what life would be like. What it had hatched into was somewhat less than pleasant than it expected but it had hope that things would soon take a turn for the better and faced the dark dreary caves around it with a smile.
