Todd's tail flicked involuntarily and his hind legs seemed to bounce involuntarily in this odd new way of running he'd adapted to with the slow, steady, and uncertain regain of strength to his limbs. Despite the ever-healing numbness and a thousand bursts of pins and needles, the fox was happy with this, happier than he'd been for a while. He didn't always fling himself head over heels trying tp pounce on a mouse or suddenly find his face on the ground!
It was a nice change. He liked this world now that he could move through it better. He didn't feel afraid anymore, at least, not right now! The world felt too good to be afraid! his belly was full, the ground was soft, and the air smelled nice.
That was what mattered, right?
The excited little fox's legs twitched, propelling his back end high into the air until he flipped heels over head. A sharp yip and he was back splayed onto his belly. Suddenly it all came flooding back and he curled up, hiding his face in his paws with a high-pitched yell of "that was mean!"
