ORIGIN

By the wall of the dark, damp cave, a new Gembound's chrysalis sat, surrounding a developing creature. Inside was a little wolf, his pelt flecked with gray, brown, and white. His development was finally coming to a finish, as his gem finished creating the body.

A sign of life came from the tiny creature, and he began to move, the chrysalis breaking around him. He poked his little nose out, sniffing at the air, ears perking and eyes pulling open. Soon, he had emerged completely, stumbling around on clumsy paws too big for his body.

He gave a light shake of his head to orient himself, still twitching his nose at the air. After a moment, the little pup began to open his mouth, giving a few little yips, tail wagging lightly.

Rimese had been wandering around when he came upon a room that was different from the one he usually was in. This one had rocks that were slick with water, and somewhere in the distance he could hear the sound of a waterfall. While he didn't particularly like the wetness, he had to admit it was a nice change from the howling winds of Monoceros.

The fox continued to explore. He was walking along when the sound a faint yip caught his attention. He stopped and listened closely. There! He heard it again. He quickly walked in the direction and came upon what appeared to be a newly hatched wolf. He gave a soft smile. "Hi there!"

The little wolf pup blinked, looking up at the fox with wide eyes. He cocked his head to the side with a small whining noise, nose and ears twitching.

After a moment, he gave a little bark, opening his jaws and letting his tongue hang out of his mouth, tail wagging. He lifted a paw, batting at the strange fox's nose.
