Polaris was one of the more pleasant places for Eve to visit, regardless of the things that had happened there. There was the strange blood-creatures, when she blew up her ear, or Dragon trying to climb the spire and failing over and over again. Landing on a rock, Eve fluffed up her feathers, shaking off the moisture form Pisces that resided in them. Polaris was also where she made her children with the strange dog; children that she rarely saw anymore. A look at the spire told her that the pearly-white figure of her daughter wasn't there and therefore probably wasn't around right now. That was alright. Eve had other things to do. She folded her wings onto her back and fluffed herself up, concentrating into her foot. An orb appeared in front of her, within her line of sight. It was glowing faintly, but enough to emit a soft yellow light onto her. With a beat of inky-black wings Eve was in the air again, flying close to the darkened areas of Polaris with the orb in front of her beak, casting weak lights over the darkness. She wasn't searching for long before she found what she was looking for. A pebble. It was smooth with perfectly round corners, but flat. As the crow landed, she picked up the pebble in her talon, inspecting it. It was clean; almost carrying the appearance as though it was new. In her time of inspecting the pebble, the orb faded and left her and her new item in darkness. It didn't matter. This one would do fine. |
