Encouraged by her coaxing and soft purring, he was about to try to summon the lights again, when she suddenly cried out in pain. He immediately abandoned his attempt, rushing to lay down next to the small kitty, trying to comfort her, to get her to stop clawing at herself. He felt he tiny claws catching on him, but still, he kept at it. "Stop, Sìleas, stop, please? Don't hurt yourself." He tried to get close enough to lick at her face, which seemed to be what was hurting her the most, but with her curled up in pain, he wasn't sure if it worked. "Sìleas, let me help you?"

"Words."

As she reeled in pain, Orion was quick to jump to her aid, giving up all practice of magicks to try and help her out. Her claws were still new and didn't cause much damage to her face, but she still felt excruciating pain. Sìleas' head rang and her own blood roared in her ears so loudly that she hardly heard the painted dog's whines and pleas. Not wanting to suffer for so long, the feline tried to cut off all sources of magicka in her body and focused on her breathing. Panting a little at first, the seer managed to ease into a rhythm of deep breaths in and deep breaths out. It soothed her enough that she unfurled herself a little...

... only to recieve slobbery licks from her new friend.

Chuckling at the tickling sensation, Sìleas flopped onto her back. "I think I'm okay now, Orion... thank you, a lot." Raising a paw in the air to try and bat at her very tall friend, the feline smiled softly and chuckled again, "I guess my pretty lights didn't work out all that well for me." Sighing deeply, she rolled back onto her stomach and lay in a pristine and composed manner. "Do you wanna try again?"

Whining with worry still, he backed off, watching the little cat to make sure she was really all right. "Sorry," he mumbled, "I mean, about drooling on you. I just, didn't want my first friend to hurt herself because of me." He lowered his nose as she batted the air, receiving a light bop, and by that letting her know where he was. She seemed content, and okay, curling up on her stomach, and asking about magic again.

Did he want to try? After what they had just gone through? He decided that yes, he did. He closed his eyes, and lowered himself into a bow next to the cat. He felt a warmth trickle down his back, and then spread along his sides. He opened his eyes just as a burst of brilliant colors sparked up, then rained down around them. "Look! I did it! Can you see them now, Sìleas? All the pretty colors, just for you!"

His tail wagged happily. He had finally done it! He only hoped it was worth it, and that she would be able to see them as well as he saw all the faded stars high above their heads.
