Cycad is a grumpy little marsupial with a chip on his shoulder who thinks that he's not too small, you're all just way too big. He wants to be respected and might go to unexpected lengths to achieve that goal. However, he needs some plottin' to really do much of anything.
Teach him to be evil. Teach him to be good. Teach him to have fun. Teach him to relax. Maybe try to eat him. Maybe make some freaky babies. Help him take over the world. Use him as a pawn. Somethin'. Let's have some fun here.
Lemme see... I've got...
Fira: a laid-back Neutral Good Leopard chick who's a total badass but she's currently stuck in Polaris cos she's about to have babies. She'd teach him not to let others boss him around and probably tell him all the advantages of being small (like being sneaky).
Macawi: a crazy coyote lady who reads people's fortunes and is totally whack-o. But she's Chaotic Good, so she's not gonna like eat him or anything. She'd read his fortune and probably tell him roughly the same thing as Fira, but she'd be weirder about it. She can go anywhere in the caves.
Iridae: He's super new and weird and really impatient. I have no idea what would happen if those two met tbh. He can go anywhere in the caves.

Destiny is the momma duck. She loves anything and everyone. She's kind, optimistic and tries to see everything and everyone in the most positive of lights. Despite this though, she hides (not very subtly) a dark secret- that she won't walk these caves for very much longer. She was doomed from the very start, but toughs out every day with a bright smile sure to charm.

Highly competitive, she's obsessed with training to become the best she can be, forcing her only fear to be fear itself.

I could see current Cycad gravitating toward Macawi in the way that children sometimes fixate on whimsical people. He might start following her around whether or not she entirely welcomed it. >> Fira would be cool too. Iridae does seem like a total wildcard, I'm not sure where that would go either.

Cycad and Destiny would be cute. :> But I don't think he would be able to understand what she's going through for another cycle or two at least, even if she did try to explain it to him. Making and then losing a friend in such a way would be quite traumatic for him.
We talked a little bit about Eira and Cycad in cbox and I still think Cy would latch right onto her since she's not gigantic compared to him and he'd pretty easily get sucked into her cause at least for a while. Him and Kin-Kin might be neater when he's older, though. If he turns out how I think he will, he'll probably flirt right back at her and challenge/tease her.
Todd I'm not so sure about. Also a bit of a wild card. Cycad would probably be afraid of Todd as a joey since he's both unpredictable and a physical threat.

Heeeeey! Pippit is also a very smol thing. Once they hatch they should meet up with Cycad and the two of 'em can be smol beans together.
