Life is precious.
When both of those large paws landed on either side of her she didn't feel intimidated in the slightest. This was her friend and as such she just gave a sheepish grin and laughed along with him.
"Oops." The lioness loudly giggled with joy when Leon's large paw ruffled the fur on the top of her head, leaving her with a comical new hairdo. She rolled over onto to her side as she watched him take a new position. The little cub rose to her own paws and went to her own position opposite of him.
Now, she would try that move again.
After she gave her flank a few brisk licks to soothe the stinging. Now, she focused her aquamarine gaze on the male as she crouched and then rushed at him again. This time she focused on her paws and on keeping them light and ready to run. She wanted to perfect this move and get it down right which was why she went for it again. One paw raised as she prepared herself to take a swipe again when she neared the cub but she wanted to be ready in case she missed and had to escape quickly. She might have been smaller but that made her quick, right?

Hearing her giggle was enough to rejuvenate the boy, a gentle reminder than she was alright despite having faced a breath of hot air and tumbling instead of landing a hit. Leon lowered his front half, just as he'd seen Isaac do when they were playing. Fighting was kind of like playing, only a little more intense with the possibility of getting hurt. He liked to think what Ky and him were doing was more like play anyways - he didn't want to hurt her. That wasn't the plan. He did want to win however, and he realized that in doing so he may end up harming her. The thought was enough to distract him, but seeing her suddenly move brought him back to reality.
This move looked a little familiar! In retaliation, Leon raised his paw again to try and block her. This time he was too slow - she managed to graze his face, just barely. Oh, that wasn't going to fly! Time for Leon to unlock his arsenal of moves now! With her so close, all Leon had to do was lunge at her and hope that he could grab her. His bulk would hopefully be enough to drag her down, and maybe he could pin her, too.
Post Roll Edit:
The bear's paws made purchase, but whether or not he'd manage to drag her down depended on the lioness's agility.
Round: 4/5
Attempts: Lunging at Makyna to drag her down
Defenses: None
Injuries: Small cuts on the side of his face
Life is precious.
Her paw made the connection! However, she felt that she'd accidentally unsheathed her claws. In dismay she looked back at her friend, worried that she might have hurt him but it seemed as if he was alright. Alright enough to lunge at her and bring her down to the ground. She would have been ready to leap away but that lull in concentration was enough to slow her down for the bear to get her. His paws made a connection with her leg as she was turning to flee which caused her to fall to the ground. The shock of the fall caused a little pain to her chest but it wasn't as hard as when she'd fallen from Leon's back so it was alright.
Instinctively she rolled to her back, paws flailing to try and keep her belly safe and keep the bear away. It was all like a game! The bear wanted to get at her but she would flail her paws to keep him away. Her happy little giggle was enough to show that she was enjoying herself despite all that had happened. Who cared that it had hurt a little to fall to the ground. Play fights were awesome! Leon was okay and she was okay! What could possibly go wrong?

ooc: Round 5:
Attempts: None
Defenses: Flailing her paws to keep Leon away.
Injuries: Stinging face and flank. A little pain in her chest from falling.
muse: 5/10
As she crashed down to the ground, Leon was quick to advance on her. All he had to do now was pin her, and then he was pretty sure the battle would end in his favor. That way, she was completely at his mercy. It wasn't like he was going to actually hurt her, but if it was a real battle, pinning your opponent to the ground would mean coming out on top. She rolled over onto her back and flailed, trying to keep him as far away from her as possible. Leon giggled and lunged at her again, standing up on his hind legs as he tried to bat her paws away. The ultimate goal would be to land one of both of his paws on her chest - pinning her down. But he couldn't do that if she kept throwing her paws around!
The bear was beginning to get so worked up, the blood rushing through his veins, his passion for the fight growing like a hot fire. His laughter rang out through the room, but full of adrenaline and excitement, Leon quickly lost his grip on the heat that burned beneath his skin. His paws felt like they were sweltering, pulsing with heat. Blinded by his delighted laughter, he took a swing at Makyna, trying to get her paws out of the way once and for all.
Post Roll Edit:
Had his intention been as true and pure as his aim, perhaps Leon could have avoided harming his friend. But the boy had lost control, and by the time he made contact with Makyna, he realized that his paws were burning. His skin ached and seared. It was too late - by then he had hit her, and in a desperate attempt to take it back, Leon gasped and stumbled away from her.
Round 5/5
Attempt: Swiping at Makyna blindly???
Defenses: None
Injuries: Small cuts on side of face
Life is precious.
It seemed as if her attempts to keep him at bay worked! He couldn't pin her if she kept flailing her paws around. Perhaps she could win this thing yet! As long as she kept him away and managed to get back onto her feet, she could escape and regroup for an attack! However, he wasn't about to let her get up that easily and he kept trying to bat her paws away to get at her chest.
In the end, he did get at it.
The bear lunged back with his paw, unknown to Makyna it was sweltering with heat. She quickly found out what it felt like to really get stung with fire. The slight burning on her face was nothing compared to the searing pain that went through her chest. Her giggles of joy quickly ceased and were replaced with a cry of pain as she felt the burning of the heat-infused claws going through skin and fur. The smell of burning fur,
her burning fur, went in through her nose as she rolled onto her side and curled into a ball. Teeth gritted and one paw curled over the bleeding flesh, attempting to stop the pain.
She knew Leon hadn't meant to do it but it still hurt. Her eyes closed tightly as she tried to will the pain away.

He was starting to worry when she didn't immediately answer him. Not that he wasn't already worried - but this was beginning to make him panic as he ran every possible scenario through his mind. She'd be angry at him. Worse - she'd be upset. She'd be hurt and bleeding. Maybe it would cause real damage. Maybe he burned her, too. His eyes glossed over thinking about all the horrible things that could have happened within those couple seconds, until finally he felt a sense of assurance touch his mind.
It wasn't self imparted. It came from Makyna, and he could feel her trying to comfort him. In a way, he was relieved to feel her reaching out to him, even if she wasn't saying anything. But it didn't make him feel better for long. She began to unfurl, and he watched as deep scarlet red stained her paws and chest. Heat instantly rose to his cheeks and his stomach dropped. He had done that. "I-I'm sorry Ky... I didn't mean to..." Leon whimpered quietly, glancing from the slick red stain to her face, searching for expression. Her voice escaped into the air and he strained to listen to her - but that was it. She passed out right then and there, and Leon struggled to hold back a sob.
"Okay, Ky, I'll take you back to Pisces. B-Bevy can fix you!" The bear wailed and scrambled back over to her. He hesitated when he saw the open wound, but sucked in a breath and buried his nose under her chest. He squirmed under her and lifted her onto his back, making certain she wasn't going to fall, and began to jog back towards the tunnel entrance, back to Pisces.
(hope this post is okay! if not, just tell me! otherwise, exit Leon!)
