The panic ebbed. Soon, only the steady rumble of Remedy's soothing throat-song remained, and that too faded into easy silence once she was certain the panic had gone.

Embarrassment. Confusion. Well I'm an idiot... I'm sorry. Relief. Curiosity. Those were her own. Her own? That didn't make sense. More confusion. Some ideas but no, those made no sense. Another. Her own. What? What if that had been a cast? A cast. What kind of cast? It didn't feel like anything she'd ever experienced before. If it had been magic...?

Body settled again, preening her twin's fur as Cure buried into her plumage, paw parting the softer pelt by along the cat's neck, tender touches, petting her.

An idea. Her own idea. Her own thoughts because... because the others hadn't been her own, right? Vaguely, she felt a burst of excitement in her chest at the prospect. Only one was to find out. Only one way to know. She'd put her theory, her idea, to the test.

Cure, can you hear me?

Cure couldn't be damned to think any more on the sudden explosion of whatever it was consuming her. Instead, she just tried to shut off her thoughts and focus on Remedy and the preeening and petting she was doing. Eventually she relaxed enough for a soft purring to begin in the back of her throat. It was silent for a moment and then she heard it. Heard the voice of her sister, not from the beak that was still preening through her fur. Eyes opened wide, now in alert and...awe?

Cure, can you hear me?

She pulled back, putting her gaze right on Remedy's heterochromatic eyes. 'Y...yyeeaaah? Did. Since when....what?' Her thoughts seemed to fumble the more she tried to figure out what was going on. All the while she pondered on their newly found connection excitement began to fill Cure up. How cool was that?! Being able to speak telepathically as they just had.

Perhaps that was the result of the strange tingling in her skull and her temporary blindness to tendrils of light. It had been her magic. Her gem had done somethhing that now kept the twins connected. "I wonder if...that's gonna work all the time..." 'Or if we have to be near each other for it to work...' She split the inquiry in half. Speaking the first portion outloud and then reaching for that connection that she was just starting to recognize and pushed her thoughts to her twin.

Cure responded.

Oh, holy shit, she could hear Cure's tentative response in her head, clear as a whistle.

Holy shit this was happening.

Remedy's heart pounded in her chest as she sat up, eyes wide and shining with excitement, locked on her twin. Cure spoke out loud a bit, but finished in thought and her own thoughts were a touch louder than she'd intended when she replied.

Holy shit who cares we're talking telepathically like this is the coolish shit I've ever experienced wow wait how much can you hear-- and from there it broke into a chaotic mess that even Remedy had to will into silence again. She shook her head, shook the thoughts away. Easy girl.

Tentatively, she tried again.

Y'know, there's only one way to find out, dear spotted one. She mused, face curling into a smile, that cooing lighting up in her chest again. She was bursting with excitement, and strangely, adoration. Of course she'd have such a link with Cure! It only made sense! They were destined to be bound together, forever, and clearly their own magic had finally figured out how to make that idea into a reality. Clearly, this was meant to be!

Cure couldn't stop grinning as his twin's voice came spiraling into her own thoughts. She tried to make sense of the first onslaught of thoughts tidal-waving in, but eventually Remedy contained herself and was able to soon spit something out that was far more tangible. Quickly he nodded towards Remedy's words all the while contemplating the sudden emotions that were slipping in and mixing around with her own. The excitement sent her own heart pumping as the adoration caused her deep, rumbling purr to return.

'Indeed! Let's test it! sometime...We don't have to right now, if you don't wanna. We can go back to naps...or...hunting...' At that particular thought Cure offered Remedy a teasing and goofy grin. She was only playing about the hunting, but she also knew they had just settled down for what would have been a glorious nap before Cure spazzed the hell out and ruined it.
