God of the Stars

Atop the throne sat two identical chrysali of purple and blue. For a few cycles they had grown and finally it was time for them to hatch, for the creatures within to shove out of their shells and see the world outside. In one of the cocoons curled a small creature, its four eyes had remained closed as it developed but inside of its developing brain things were whispered. A voice whispered in his mind about tales of grandeur, it sent him images of the moon and stars but mostly about the stars. The burning bright pinpoints of light, those lights were him. They were what he embodied. The voice told him of power, of the gods, of the Nassain'Yo of which he was a part of. He was a god and he was told of one other that walked the place with him.

A god... He liked the sound of that.

Two pairs of eyes opened to see the darkness within the cocoon. It was not like the stars here, it didn't burn bright like his spirit. He had to be released. The canine's lips curled up into a snarl as he began to scratch at the inside of the shell. Finding that the efforts were getting him nowhere he began to hit the inside of the shell harder and harder until he fractured and then cracked opened the gem-tomb. Shards flew everywhere as he fell out in a wet glob onto the top of the throne. His eyes stared upwards at the ceiling of the cave, overhead were thousands of stars just like the ones he'd seen in the time before hatching. He was a star like them...

No.

They were stars like him. They were created in his image. His lips curled upwards into a grin as he stared at them. Perhaps before he was brought down to the ground he was up there, commanding the very stars and placing them. Yes, if he thought hard enough he could remember doing just that. But... something was missing. The moon. Where was it? Blinking his four eyes awkwardly --this body felt strange to him-- he turned his head slightly to peer back at the other chrysalis. Was that it? Was the moon in there? Had it fallen to earth as well to be amongst the mortals?

Quietly the creature slumbered. Curled tightly into a ball within the confines of a protective shell. Dreams flooded their mind's eye. Painting them pictures of things unknown to the caves they would surely be birthed into. Voices spoke to her, practically singing of things only a goddess should be blessed with. Knowledge. The knowledge of what she was, who she was, and what purpose she could possibly hold. Her world never had been quiet, but this creature welcomed the voice. Soaking in all she could learn from it as she continued to slumber.

Something sounded just outside of her protective casing. A percussive pounding until ultimately there was a shattering before all went silent. Slowly the gemling moved, trying to uncurl as bright yellow eyes began to slowly open wide. A deep rumbling sound emitted from her throat. Instantly she began to press hard against the chrysalis. Harder and harder she pushed until finally cracks began to web out before ultimately shattering, spilling the creature out of it's hold.

For a moment the pup lay upon her back, staring up at the glimmering stars. Her stars. The companions she had been whispered too about. They were her's and her's alone. Slowly a grin slipped across her features before she finally rolled over and quite easily sat up to her hind haunches. Nostril's flared as she took in all the new scents, but one in particular drew her bright yellow gaze. There he stood, or sat maybe, just before her. two sets of eyes meeting with her own.

It was a shared silence. An acknowledgement that perhaps only she felt, but it was there. This. This was her fallen star. Her's to keep as her own. He had surely been sent first just so he could greet her the moment she arrived. "Hhhhhello," Her voice purred out. Unsteady, but calm. As if she had spoke that word before.

Ears perked while he listened to the creature battling within the chrysalis, the period of stasis was finally broken as the crystal shattered and released his fellow god into the world. To say that she was radiant would be an understatement, she was absolutely more than that. This was the very moon fallen down to earth, no one deserved such a pleasure as this. The mortals did not even know what a beautiful creature they just gained in this moment.

The male attempted to rise to his paws but found that the vessel was weak. His legs felt unsteady and not to be relied on. He felt an annoyed his seep out from between his long fangs, this was unacceptable. His moon needed him and he could not even go to her. When she spoke the tones caressed his ears, oh how melodious her voice was. He smiled, a genuine grin that made his spirits rise and his tail wag slowly with pure pleasure. "Muh... Muh..." Even this vessel's mouth was stupid and weak. He knew what he wanted to say but the words just wouldn't come.

Frustrated, annoyed, and growing ill-tempered the canine began to thrash as he tried to force himself to his paws. Finally, he was able to force himself into a sitting position as he faced her. His tail pounded in a gentle rhythm while his mouth began to drool excitedly with his first triumph. It wasn't as good as painting the stars across the sky but it was close enough. "My mooonn..." He purred to his twin. "My Zelenaaaa..." There. Before he even spoke his own name he recounted hers for even though they were both powerful beings she was the Moon while he only the Stars. Without her the sky would not be nearly as beautiful. Even now as they sat in this room she did not shine overhead... Why had they been cast down in these weak bodies? Was there work to be done?

Her twins voice rolled upon her ears and a deep rumbling sound emitted from her chest as she slowly attempt to rise up onto her four paws. It seemed that this new vessel was indeed not as strong as her previous form. It was in this knowledge that Zelena scowled at her own wobbling legs as she soon managed to push herself up to stand. "Mmmoooosiiii. My precious star," She finally purred out as she lifted her bright yellow eyes. A mischievous smile slowly curling across her muzzle. Slowly six small fluffy tails swayed in sync behind her, blue claws stretched and gripped at the stone she stood upon, testing how it felt beneath her paws.

Finally the disaster that was her legs at the moment began to work and she slowly carried herself towards her brother and did not hesitate to give an affection lick at his check before she nuzzled into his fur. Not caring that either of them still had the slime of their confines still covering them. Small black nubs atop her head seemed to bump up against Mosi, but she didn't find it an issue either. "Cooome, we must...feed these vessels of ours less we fail in our...mission," Her serene voice seemed to purr out once again. How she knew what they needed to do first was still rather elusive to her, but it didn't matter. She was a Goddess. Of course she was going to know what they must do.

With one finally mischievous grin at her twin, Zelena stepped away and peered down at the rest of Orion. She stood tall and proud. So this was to be their domain was it? Wasn't very impressive honestly. Nothing but broken buildings and dusty old arenas it seemed. Her yellow eyes narrowed for a brief moment as she noted the toward further back in the cavern that towered over most. Perhaps this was why they had been sent down. To bring back the splendor that this...place had probably carried at some point. Perhaps, she supposed eventually they would find out why they had been brought down here in the first place.

Six tails twitched, moving in a sudden way that would surely draw her twin's attention. She felt a sudden pressure on her forehead as the crescent moon suddenly flashed brightly in a variety of purples and blues. Her eyes narrowed as a smirk shadowed over her features. She would test this new ability as much as she could. And her brother would be the perfect subject for the better, more healthy bacteria that she just released into the air that would hopefully infect the beast. She would cast it a few times later on, just to make sure he had a healthy amount of bacteria that would surely boost anything he may have need of. After all...A Goddess needed her God to be fit and healthy to follow her demands.

Ah, she spoke again and this time it was his name. How beautiful it sounded coming from her mouth in those delightful tones. His tail wagged unbidden to and fro at her voice, probably the only voice he would ever express such explicit joy for hearing. His forepaws kneaded the ground excitedly as she wandered right over to him, closing the distance between them with her vessel's weak legs.

When she finally came to his side and licked his cheek he couldn't help but return the gesture before nestling his head on top of hers. Ah, here was his Moon. The bright shining symbol of the night, the one who added true beauty to his stars. He found himself poking his nose into the little nubs on her head which he guessed would become glorious horns later on in her life. His ears twitched at the sound of her voice while he nodded his head once, slightly, in agreement. Did she know of their mission? "Yesss... Zel, what is our... mission? Why have we been cast down in theesseee bodies?" If he didn't know then surely she must. The Goddess always seemed to be more in tune with these sort of things.

After a bit his Moon stepped away from him and with a last glance turned away to look over the throne, their throne. The thought sent a thrill of joy throughout his body, this was all there's. But what exactly made up "this"? It was at this moment that he looked back at the female to see her give her tails a sudden twitch. An intriguing gesture that might go unnoticed by the untrained eye but he knew it, even as new as these bodies were he knew instinctively what his sister wanted when she made certain moves. Everything had a reasoning with her.

Not keeping her waiting, he was at her side within a second and he too stared over their domain. While he was impressed with the throne he certainly wasn't blown away by this... The cracked and dilapidated buildings were nothing to get excited about. Who's temple had this been? Whoever it belonged to they hadn't been keeping it up. Perhaps this was why they were here.

The male let out a smirk while his four eyes stared down sardonically at what lay before them. "What trash... We will have much work ahead of us." Boy, was he up to it. He couldn't wait to begin work to make this place fit for a god or goddess. Perhaps they could even find willing followers to bring this place back to its former glory. No temple would be fit for his Moon unless it was at its prime.

Her twin came to her side just as he should have and a deep purring resonated within her small chest. "Our mission...." She began as she continued to observe the land below them. All the while her magicka rose to the surface once more and this time she felt it work marvelously. That was very good. Now he would be as healthy as she could make him. Just as he should be. "Our mission...is to reclaim this..wreckage. To make it grand once more. And perhaps there will be more..." She purred as she lowered her head and narrowed her eyes towards the buildings. They would indeed have much work ahead of them.

"Come along, my star. We certainly do have much work to do," She nearly cackled as she gave no hesitance before she jumped from their current position and made her way down into the forums. Though they had lots of things to do, she knew that their first task was to nourish the vessel's they had been placed into. Without a healthy vessel, they would not be doing much of anything.
