With the Alpha withdrawn into her chrysalis and her son accounted for, Sköll almost felt less hogtied into duties than before. It wasn't as if he ever was, but he felt relief. The blue moon had decided he would do his best to keep an eye on the strangely eldritch creature that was to be the heir to the title of Ulfric. For now, the man decided that he and Hati would explore the cavern they'd quickly run through to reach Eridanus. Perhaps to reminisce of their younger days. They weren't ancient memories that required a bit of thought to look for, but they were still rather old. With traveling, Sköll wondered how the duo would have ended up should they have had more interaction with others in their younger years... when they only had each other as company.
As they wandered down the tunnel, Hati decided that he needed to talk, and prod into his thoughts.'We never needed anyone to survive, blue moon.' Flicking his starry tail, Sköll laughed quietly, "sure... but I can't help but to wonder. How would we have ended up? Would I have become the evil moon and you the good sun?" Somewhere in their headspace, Hati cackled, 'as if!'
After that, there was silence. Sköll glanced to the side and noticed one section of the wall was rather flat compared to others. As he approached, the wall sharpened and showed off a strange carving with creeping mycelia growing in the nooks and crannies of it... showing off the odd shapes. Swishing his tail, he pondered."Is that the Monarch?" Lifting a paw, he placed it on the art. 'Are you blind? Of course it is.' Sköll growled, tail flicking in frustration. Spirits seemed to be emerging from the silvery mushroom... but why? What did it mean? 'It's probably the ravings of the mad. Perhaps that of those that worship the damn thing as the All-Mother. I find it hilarious that they think a plant can give life to everyone.' Without really thinking, the moon responded quietly with a, "says the one that formed from a magical rock alongside me." Let's just say that Hati was promptly offended and went off into a flurry of anger. Smirking to himself, Sköll continued to inspect the carvings.
