Tucked neatly inside of a stone, they twisted, stretching against the sides of the stone, hooves pressing against the stone they were in. Their lungs expanded, taking in the stifling air, and their mind exploded with one thought Escape. Escape the thing they were trapped in, go out into whatever they were meant to go out into. Twisting awkwardly, although more desperately this time, their hooves pressing against the smooth thing they were trapped in. Their prison.
Pressing harder against the stone, they twisted and turned, trying to find anything in the smooth walls that was weaker, that they could break out of.
Suddenly, as their lungs expanded again, it was with new air. Not the crippling air in the place they had been in for so long. Their red gaze searched for the nearest thing, and they were still in their spot for a time, waiting for something to come along. Finally, their legs pushed them up unsteadily, and they almost fell once again, uncoordinated. From their new spot, higher up, they could see more.
They would have moved, but they still remained still, waiting.
