The ground that was definitely not loamy isn't particularly helping with Albeon's sore leg right now, which makes him lift more weight off the leg in an attempt to slightly minimize the pain. He's as of right now fairly unsure on whether he should get Baratheon's attention in regards to his leg, or if he should suck it up at bear it, he could still move it even after the moment Mosi bit his leg which is when it of course really hurt even if it gave out in one instance of that event.

He does relax a little more in an attempt to soften the pain in his leg, but even with that, he still makes the occasional expression of flinch from the pain. He tries to bite his tongue if he can with his beak to avoid whimpering more from the pain, as he's unsure whether to be quiet whilst Baratheon mind is buried with something right now from the looks of it. Although he stops trying to bite it down a bit when he sees the dragon lower his head down seeming to be finished with what seems to be occupying him. He admits he appreciates Baratheon not completely overlapping, as if he did then Albeon sorta would be trapped.

Albeon slowly turns his own head over to face Baratheon when he was asked what was wrong with him, he slowly turns it due to the factor that his body is all tensed up from flinching because of the pain on his leg. Well guess it's time to display more honesty, he really prefers not to lie, "The 'someone' I met bit down on my leg fairly violently with his sharp teeth, it's been pretty sore ocassionally from that bite even though I can still move it just fine for some reason..." he doesn't know whether to add why Mosi did it, after all seems like Baratheon just wanted to know about the leg which he is fine with telling.

@Baratheon

It is quite obvious now, with his closer proximity to the bird, that he is in obvious pain. His heart went out to the young one who seemed to be trying so hard to tough it out on the loamy soil, but alas, he was still a child and still could not disguise it completely. The dragon listened as the bird explained the situation, then he focused down on his leg. Hmm... so it had been more than just a verbal spat. It had come down to violence and it seemed that the poor bird had come out on bottom. "It might just be badly bruised." Again he was no healer but he'd seen someone treat a bruise before to help it feel better so he knew what advice to offer. "Stay off of it, rest on me if you'd like, but you need to keep from using it." As for the next remedy...

The dragon found a small pebble near his head --tiny for him, decent sized for the bird-- and he used his tongue to carefully maneuver it into his mouth. He focused his magic on the stone and the saliva surrounding it, and after a few moments opened his mouth to drop the now-frozen pebble at the birds feet. The stone itself wasn't really frozen but the spit in his mouth around the stone had been. He couldn't help that he had to make a "cold pack" that way, there was no water around and that was the quickest way to do it. When they --if-- they went back to Eridanus maybe he could find something better. "Put your leg against that. It should help ease the pain and reduce the swelling. Mind that you don't freeze off your leg." That certainly wouldn't help his situation. "Perhaps you'd like to come back to Eridanus? I have friends there and herbs to help your leg. I am no healer but someone else there might know how to use the plants to heal your leg. You can also tell me about the one who hurt you." Who knew? Perhaps he could even help him learn to defend himself.

"Talking looks like this!"
Thinking looks like this...
Although his attention was a bit distracted from trying to relax himself and trying to see what will lessen his pain on the leg, he nonetheless is listening to Baratheon even if his eyes aren't on him. But even though the circumstances of this situation with his leg just utterly suck, Albeon does feel a little relieved on how bruising is the only problem as he was worried about that revolting slime Mosi was drooling out. Listening to Baratheon's advice on treating the pain, first on remaining off the leg and having permission to rest on him well if he insists... He spreads his wings back out as an attempt to use them to clamber up on Baratheon's foreleg.

He watches on as he sees the dragon fairly carefully picking up a rock that probably seemed like a grain of sand to the dragon honestly. He is confused as to the purpose of that, even more puzzled when Baratheon put his face next to him again and drops the rock next to him, which he shows with a tilt of confusion as to silently ask what the reason for this is. Put it next to him? Oh well makes sense in a way, although frozen saliva was a new thing sort of odd... Then again, he had revolting green slime sullying his feathers once so can't complain honestly. Reaching out to the 'cold pack' with his wing, he gently pushes it towards his leg so to not place too much pressure on the leg which probably will make it freeze off.

Hearing on to Baratheon's suggestion of going to this Eridanus, well if that place can be of help then it sounds good, besides, if Mosi does in fact live here then staying here for too long might not be the best of ideas if they encounter again, while a part of himself still possesses a strong grudge he knows right now that isn't the best of ideas to meet him again, for one he'll probably start rubbing it in a lot if he does realize the damage he has caused to his leg. "... Alright, that sounds good, perhaps not right now of course, but that sounds like a good idea. He referred to himself as 'Mosi Nyota', looked like some... dark furred canine with four eyes and seemed to have some sort of god-complex." He gave a vague description as he'll probably ramble on about what took place.

@Baratheon

The dragon watched as the bird clambered up on his leg and took the stone to cool his leg. He wished he could be of more help but anything he could do would probably do more harm than good. Sometimes it was a pain being so large but what could you do? It wasn't as if he could shrink himself... at least he didn't remember seeing a spell like that. The bird agreed to going to Eridanus and the dragon nodded his head. They could settle in here for a while, give the guy a chance to rest himself.

"Mosi Nyota..." He mused to himself. He'd never heard of anyone with that name and certainly never seen a creature like that before. Strange... "I do not know him but he sounds like the type that finds joy in picking on the weak to make himself feel strong." The type that he liked to put down, show them what it was like to be picked on. "Next time you cross paths with him you should show him true strength and how you will not be beaten, even if you are small and young." He could do it himself but that would make him no better than this "Mosi". He was a dragon, this creature sounded like something small. "Was this gembound young? Less than four cycles?" Perhaps he was a child or a bully that liked to beat up those younger than himself. "Tell me about what happened." They had time and it would help him get a clearer picture of the guy so he could properly gauge what action to take and what advice to give.

"Talking looks like this!"
Thinking looks like this...
The young chick now on Baratheon's leg, carefully slumps on the leg and lies on his stomach with his wings spread out. He really should keep on holding the ice rock with one of his wings, however the fatigue is catching up to him even more now, which makes him not want to do it his body is pretty much in a kind of coma it doesn't want to move at all now, he just has to hope it doesn't roll off Baratheon's leg.

He observes Baratheon while Albeon's thinking over in regards to Mosi, well in regards to Baratheon saying things that are all true about Mosi, although 'picking' is really putting it mildly, then again he has never said to Baratheon that the beast was trying to outright kill him.Still, he nods to Baratheon in regards to Albeon's next encounter with Mosi if one happens, he has every intention to do that, when he has the power. Still... Mosi's cycles, he really doesn't even know what these 'cycles' are. He really was unsure on whether or not Mosi is a young one, although he had some odd manner of speaking, that's for sure and some other factors that may give hints of how old he is. "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't know what these 'cycles' are. I have no idea if he's young, he had an odd manner of speaking, saying odd words like 'thou', & 'thy'. And he did throw some childish outbursts when he couldn't reach me." All Albeon knows for certain was that Mosi was older than him.

Well though time to spill the beans, "To be honest, I've only emerged not too long ago, probably a few weeks, the time I came to be is the day I met him. Initially he was in a way nice to me, making conversation asking for my name even though at that time I didn't have one nor even knew what one was. But that 'niceness' was a facade to manipulate me into trusting him." Now that he thinks of it, that nice part was more the canine bragging about himself, still he will continue on.

"It worked at first, but then the smile that he had that looked fairly friendly started to morph into an expression that looked very sadistic, and most of all bloodthirsty. It looked more sinister on how this green slime in his mouth was drooling out, which gave me an indication that I should get away, I tried to play it casual and say 'bye'" Well didn't say 'bye', but it was technically what he was trying to say to Mosi. Eh... just keep on explaining.

"He started to slowly follow me, planning to cut me off in my tracks of getting away, laughing at how pathetic it probably looked of me in making a feeble attempt to just walk away from him. Then he er... Somehow, I don't know how managed to trip over on the ground and so he didn't manage to get in front of me, but he was bragging about how he was from here, then he proceeded to say that I'd never see this place and asked if I wanted to know why." He excluded the whole thing with how Mosi claims he created these 'stars' he's unsure if he wants to mention that now as it'll probably be obvious why he made the mess here.

"A part of me was still unsure of what he was intending, so I did say to him that I was in wonder how he could make such proud statements after making a fall like that, I for some reason thought that if I made a remark like he'd get the hint that I just want him to leave me alone... Yeah the opposite happened, that only just seriously ticked him off." Even at that time he thought to himself that he was an damn idiot for saying that, it was too far.

"Basically since I struck a nerve, he started bellowing at me and saying some odd things like how my flesh was going to be a nice offering to him and to a 'deity' or something who rules my birthplace which is the one with all the bones. Then, apparently he decided he would instead have me to be a present to a... 'sister' or something after he intends to 'rend me limb from limb' which were almost his exact words. I don't know really, after all, like I said his way of speaking was confusing, what I do know is this, the fact that I infuriated him." He's amazed he could remember it, it was seriously odd and the sudden change in attitude did take him by surprise.

"After he finished with that 'villain monologue' of his I guess you could call it, there was something he said that distracted me a little and that's when he managed to bite down rather savagely on my leg, and he had absolutely no intention of letting go. I only escaped because I actually managed to use my 'Magick' unexpectently on one of his paws which he slipped and fell on, that made him loosen his grip on my leg." He was still surprised that happened, especially since apparently spells can fail sometimes.

"Tried to get away, but he managed to pin me down with his paw and dug his claws on me, thankfully the spell happened again and it managed to lift his paw off me and I needed to ensure I had time to get away. So I pecked his lifted paw and flew into this odd colony thing that was filled with bones, more specifically I flew in a gap where he couldn't fit in at all and so due to that he couldn't reach me. Mosi did have another outburst and yelling at me again, then he promised me he will one day find me before he gave up and left. And... Yeah, that's it." When he finished with what took place he looked to see the ice rock wasn't on his leg anymore, then looking down he sees it has rolled off Baratheon's leg and onto the ground like he worried it would. Oh come on...

@Baratheon

Didn't know what cycles were, eh? Well, that wasn't shocking. He didn't know what a cycle was either when he was younger nor did he still have a completely clear idea. It was just something that came innately with the passage of time. "Well, a cycle is a set passage of time it's... well, difficult to explain but if you'll notice the lights. Not the 'stars' but those ones on the walls." He waved a wing to indicate the lights below the stars on the walls, the flickering bulbs made by creatures that even he didn't know of. "A cycle would be a complete rotation of those lights growing dimmer and then brighter for thirty days. A 'day' would be one rotation of those lights and a cycle is thirty of those 'days'. It's... hard to explain... It's just something I've noticed with time and a sort of feeling in my gut for the passage of time. Like me, I am fourteen cycles old but you have not yet reached one." He hoped he was explaining it well enough. The passage of time was something he was not even completely used to and mostly had to go on instinct but it went along with the things that he'd observed in the caves.

Now, he fell silent as the raven began his tale of meeting this "Mosi". Baratheon remained silent with his eyes focusing on the bird, taking in every word. From what he could garner this creature was another evil being in the works. Was he someone that needed to be stopped? Or would he fade away in time as many others had done before him? Only time would tell. Still, should he do something while the creature was young? He didn't know. It didn't seem right to put down a child, not even one that showed such bad traits. There was hope that things could turn out better for Mosi, if he was just given time and showed that he was not the god that he believed he was.

The dragon's eyes closed and he inhaled, then exhaled deeply as he thought and tried to form the words as he wanted to them. Then finally after a minute he opened them again and peered down at the bird before he spoke in a measured tone. "The way someone speaks does not signal how old they are but their mannerisms are the tell. From what you have told me I believe this "Mosi" is not more than a spoiled child. He appears to be traveling down a path of hatred and violence but I do not believe I should intervene... yet." Not until he proved to be a true menace to the caves. However, if he caught the beast messing with innocent children again, gods forbid one of his children that he adopted, then he would be forced to take action. "There have been others before Mosi that have wanted to place the caves into chaos or take over because they believe they are right and righteous." He was thinking of a certain carnivore-hating deer now. "Some have faded with time and others have had to be put down. What will Mosi be? A menace? Or will he fade before his time comes? We don't know yet. But what I do know is that we must always be prepared for the worst... you must be prepared so that if you run into Mosi again you can show him that you are not afraid and that he does not rule these caves." There was a hint of a growl in his voice as he spoke his last sentence as if he took personal offense to some puffed-up canine that thought he could rule the caves. He had to remind himself that this was only a child and this was not his fight. Not unless Mosi proved to be a true menace to the caves and the wellbeing of everyone within it. For now he would aid this raven and teach him how to take up for himself and defend his honor.

"Tell me, Albeon, have you ever thought about the warrior's path? Being a Guardian to defend your honor and the freedom of those around you?" It was the path he'd chosen. It was in his heart to protect others and joining the group that he had only helped with that. If the bird wanted he could help him and teach him how to properly defend himself.

He just managed to see that the rock had slipped off of his leg. Deftly with one claw he easily slid the rock back onto his foreleg and next to the bird.

"Talking looks like this!"
Thinking looks like this...
Albeon listens on in regards to the concept of 'cycles' at the same time, he is looking at one of these 'lights' that Baratheon is directing the raven to look at with his larger wing, Albeon is a little confused still but he thinks he gets the gist of it, but he'll ask to ensure he's correct. "So... From what you said before, if those lights are at their brightest at about 4 times I'll no longer be considered young anymore or something?" The young raven's naive side shows again somewhat with that question, it is a bit complex to understand but he thinks that's what Baratheon meant. Still 'time' is fairly interesting to him a lot he wonders if he can learn more about it.

Hearing about on how Mosi is someone is on the lead to the path of hate and violence, for some reason filled Albeon with glee a little bit, not because the idea that this path sounds nice, no way it's more because yes it means that Mosi truly is in the wrong for what he is doing, perhaps even by this blasted world's standards. Still the idea of how Mosi would consider himself as completely above all and 'righteous' all because he apparently created these 'stars' just angers him more, even if he was the 'God' of these things that doesn't mean he rules the cave because of that, they're really not that important to be allowed to rule! Still Albeon will still start on his task on his desire to defend the ones who may get killed by others Mosi will just most likely be one who'll be a culprit of attempting to kill an innocent which works in Albeon's favour as it'll look like an honourable rescue and no indication of wanting pure revenge for hurting Albeon. Although Albeon won't just defend herbivores, if he does see something that's considered a predator trying to kill another predator such as a eagle or something intending to rip apart a marten, he'll save that marten without thinking twice about it and attack that eagle. Same applies if a herbivore is killing another senselessly, unless it's self-defending.

Still a warrior's path? It certainly does sound like something that's similar to what he has chosen as his own 'task' to be, but he wasn't sure yet really... He doesn't think he'll need a abacus to conclude his decision but maybe don't decide right away. "It sounds like a great offer. Although I think I want to think through before I decide beforehand." He looks at the corner of his eye and sees something really large coming for him, he quickly turns in surprise but then sees that it's just Baratheon's claw pushing that rock back up, once again relieving the pain that's on his leg, and he already feels even more tired than ever before...

@Baratheon

The dragon nodded his head to show that Albeon had the right idea. It was a complicated thing, gauging the passage of time when there was no clear indicator of this past the lights. "You'll also know when you start to grow. You'll stop growing when you're four cycles old and begin at two." He remembered when he was only the size of a small dog and then he grew to the impressive size that he was now in a matter of cycles.

The dragon waits patiently while the bird absorbs his words and when he was finally given a response he nodded once. "Of course, it is better to think over something than make a commitment that you've poorly thought about." After all, you needed time to come up with the best actions. Till then... "Why don't you rest? We can go to Eridanus when you wake and you can decide later what you want to do. I will keep watch to make sure no one bothers us." He knew that the bird must be tired. It sounded like he'd had quite the day.

"Talking looks like this!"
Thinking looks like this...
The corvid feels like he has a good understanding of things, so this probably means that he's halfway through reaching his first cycle ever then. That's when he'll grow more if that's what the dragon is getting at, which makes Albeon's mind swell with pride, he's apparently this good and he's going to get a boost from just naturally growing? That makes things a lot better! He does hope that with his growth he'll be able to fit himself in this long fabric he takes everywhere with him.

He feels some slight relief that he doesn't have to decide right away, he just has some feeling that these 'Guardians' may not approve of his methods of saving others, but what could he do? He finds that's the only way he can keep the peace to keep the helpless safe! Being asked if he wanted to rest reminded him once again of just how tired he is from his rather extreme stunt of trying to hurt Mosi in some form of way that it took a lot out of him. It's a good thing Baratheon came around, he probably would've fell asleep here and risk the possibility of Mosi finding him here completely vulnerable again since he's from here. Albeon glanced back up at Baratheon and simply nodded in response, "Alright then. And... Thanks a lot, I didn't want to rest at first from running the risk of that guy finding me out here in the open..." He yawned a little after the thought of resting, finally letting his drooping eyes close. But he does hope that the ice rock doesn't condense when he wakes up though...

@Baratheon

"You are welcome." The dragon watched the tiny bird as he began to let his eyes droop before he finally turned his head away. One wing draped down over his leg, effectively hiding the bird from view, just as a safeguard in case anyone tried spying on them. Baratheon's ears were pricked, nostrils flared, and eyes alert at their surroundings. No one would sneak up on them while he was on guard.

He would also keep his eye on that rock and the bird's leg. No need to let something happen there due to a lax in his guard.
