Tuck had settled into Eridanus fairly well, and was quite happy with his living arrangements. He tended to pick a new tree to sleep in each time the need arose, and there were plenty to choose from! Most days he spent his time eating, licking sap from a tree he had dug into with his fangs and claws, or catching insects that were crawling around nearby. Occasionally, he would drop down to the ground to snatch up any ripened fruit which had fallen to the floor, but he tended to carry it back up with him instead of enjoying it on the ground. He didn’t like being on the ground for long.
In fact, right now, he was cautiously making his way to the mossy floor to pick up an overripe fruit which came from the Watermelon Tree. Upon reaching it, he realized that the fruit was about the same size he was, and that if he wanted it, he was going to have to stay on the floor and eat it there. He got to work cracking it open, occasionally looking around himself to make sure no one could sneak up on him.

Albeon decided to investigate this Eridanus he heard of once. Because no way in utter hell was he going to stay in his birthplace of Canis, since it's more of a graveyard not a home at all really. The other area he has been in was Orion, which isn't really the best of ideas either seeing how there's someone who is really out for the chick's blood as revenge that is residing in that part of the caves too.So far, from what he has seen in here, though it seems fairly ideal actually, lots of plant life in here so lots of nice trees where he can train his flight not to add that means there will be fruit too, which is something he really wishes. Since he may be a creature that does feed on carrion and some other creatures but... He'd rather not honestly worst case scenario he has to feed he will try the carrion of a creature that's already been killed by another he'll never do it himself though, he refuses to kill innocent helpless ones. Then again, he'd probably won't have to worry about that, seems like this place has a ton of fruit so it may not be that much of a problem.
Feeling tired from flying that his still young wings that can only handle so much right now, he decides to take it from the ground here and so safely lands himself in some of the plant life and goes forth with hopping onwards to move faster.Keeping an eye out of his surroundings in an attempt to adapt to it, the green colour scheme of this part of the cave's atmosphere is definitely new to him seeing different the other 2 parts were. Still, if this is pretty
standardized for this part he's going to have to get used to it. One part that caught his eye is this tree that seems pretty solitary from the other plant life that's in here. Curious, he hops towards it and in the process a large fruit catches his eye on the ground next to it. Well... Things seem to be in his favor for once. He goes to hop on over to this fruit, but when he got closer he sees the monkey behind it on the other side and is moving around it like it was... hiding? He really doesn't know what it's doing so the corvid chick is curious, and so decides to sort of play along and tilts his head to the right to get a better look and to see if Albeon gets the monkey's attention, who on closer look have a similar size although in Albeon's case it has more to do with how he's young.

Tuck gave a loud screech and was already halfway up the tree before he realized he was once again being a bit of a coward in front of another Gembound. But the bird had scared the living daylights out of him! He’d been smart enough to look around himself as he cracked open the fruit, but too dumb to realize that the fruit itself was blocking his frontal view. He cursed himself inwardly while staring awkwardly down at the raven, and wondered what he should do now that he had acted like such a fool already. It was too late to take it back. He’d have to own up to his fear… or maybe just pretend like it had never happened.
“Who’re you?” he demanded, trying to make himself sound more intimidating than he was. He didn’t go back down to the ground. Being up in the tree was the only thing that made him feel unafraid. It made him feel like he could conquer anything. It made him forget he was only four inches tall…

Whilst staring he almost fell on his back from the other Gembound's screeching, just barely saving his balance with his wings.
Whoa, what the heck was that all about? He inwardly thought with some mild irritation, mean, geez that was so damned loud! ...Then again, that one is as almost as small as him, after all if Albeon himself almost came victim to death so early in his life due to his size and helplessness in a way then it wouldn't surprise him if something similar has happened to this monkey... Perhaps not, maybe might just have some slight awareness of the possibility of such hardships as that's how cruel this world can be to helpless ones for whatever reason. He is still a little annoyed although it's now more from his thoughts about how cruel things are from his pondering, the screech has slipped his mind a little, he is right now somewhat feeling bad as well for the monkey. He blankly stares back up at it which makes eye contact.
Ah... Rather bold in a way after all that then demanding for some info, nice attempt, he supposes, he does wonder how it'll react to a larger creature who does this instead of Albeon. Pushing the fruit aside with his talons, which to this creature probably look like a
clubfoot to get a slightly better view of him, Albeon really isn't in the mood to outright say his name but he hates lying so he'll respond with some vague honesty.
"Nothing more than a passerby bird..." Giving a slight tone seeing how the monkey did himself, well Albeon's wasn't really intimidating it was just a little firm which is helped by his deep voice. While yes the monkey is most definitely above him in altitude he can easily fly up there if he wants to, and with that he
might give the fruit back to him by flying up with it if he can, seeing how the monkey found it first and Albeon doesn't care for stealing another Gembound's food he already does things differently from what the world expects of him so this really isn't new of him. Well, let's just see what this monkey decides first really.
@Tukluk
Tuck didn’t like the way the bird was speaking to him. Not one bit! He gave a short,
“Huh,” in response, and continued to stare down at the raven, but he didn’t really know what else to say. An awkward silence reigned for a few seconds, and then he quickly looked at the fruit which the bird had pushed away.
“That’s mine,” he said, rather loudly.
“I found it, I was gonna eat it! You can’t have it!” Tuck was acting like a spoiled brat, and some part of him knew it, but he couldn’t help it. He couldn’t let other Gembounds push him around. And then he got a very stupid idea.
He crawled about halfway down the tree, and then said in a very shaky voice,
“I’ll… I’ll fight you for the fruit! I-it’s mine!” But even as he spoke, his teeth started chattering in fear. Oh, he was no good at fighting! And what if the bird accepted? He was dead meat! Why did he always let his mouth run so much? It always got him in trouble!

Albeon stared on upwards at this monkey with complete disinterest with one of his brows raising up in the wonder of this monkey's pretty vague response, it was almost like a hum in a way than a response. He keeps his eye on this monkey even with the extended silence that begun to tense the mood of the surroundings again. Although the silence has ended again with his statement that the fruit is his belonging and his alone
"I can see that it's yours I am don't care enough to steal it. I'm above lowly thievery." He says with a twinge of smugness in it over how he doesn't stoop so low, he can get his own fruit really, he's not so pathetic that he needs to swipe another's catch.
Oh, he was challenging Albeon to a battle? Well then...
"You can't take me on..." this moody raven is fairly confident in his skills for his young age that he can't help but blurt that out. Not that he was intending to fight him no reason to really, the monkey isn't being some cruel killer on a helpless Gembound that needed saving and Albeon just wasn't in the mood to fight either. And he'd rather not waste energy on a single fruit that'll take more trouble getting, with that he leaps up with his wings spread out to begin the take off on one of the branches on the tree to pick out his own fruit. Midway during this short flight when he's about to fly past the monkey, Albeon decides to get his point across that he doesn't care for fighting him
"Well? If it's really yours, then go get it, just because you can't take me in a fight doesn't mean I want to fight." Hopefully the monkey can go back down to get it himself.
@Tukluk
Tuck really, really hated this bird even though he was the one who had tried to initiate the fight. The raven was treating him like a — like a child! Granted, Tuck
was a child, but he was never gonna admit that… even though it was obvious. He glared down at the raven, and made a sound of annoyance in his throat when the Gembound said he couldn’t take him on. And then gasped as the bird took off into the air and flew right past him up onto a branch above him. He was about to shout up to him that he was a coward, but the bird told him to go get his fruit.
He looked down at the fruit on the ground, and slowly made his way down to it, muttering to himself.
“I can take you on,” he growled quietly.
“You think I’m scared of you? Psh.” In reality, he was very glad he hadn’t had to fight, but he was never going to let the bird know that if he could help it. He spun his head around 180° to check that the raven wasn’t going to hurt him, and then hopped to the ground and started working on the fruit again.

Yeah, that marks the second one that hates Albeon for his brutal honesty from the looks it. Ironic, Albeon is a kid as well he is a moody kid, though who has no time for others nonsense really. Still seeing how he struck a nerve did make Albeon smirk smugly a little, the monkey may be what this blasted world considered as helpless, but that won't stop him from being a thorn in his side for a bit if he truly wants things to escalate instead of ignoring just Albeon.
Well, at least the monkey has his fruit now, although yeah, seems like he wasn't done yet seems so certain he can take on a bird who managed to outsmart a savage canine thing when he emerged then again the monkey didn't know that.
"I'm not exactly one of those predators who think it's OK to be out for our blood. So there's really no reason to feel fear towards me, so in other words: No." that may have sounded humble for this chick but he prioritized being honest over his ego really.Still, when he saw the monkey staring at him, he got his wings out to shrug a little like trying to mockingly say 'Eh...' with that monkey now finally deciding to ignore Albeon from the looks of it, although he may decide for round 2 till then Albeon will try to get his own fruit.
@Tukluk
Tuck ignored the next words out of the bird’s mouth, too focused on cracking into this fruit. By the time he got it open, he realized that there was no way in all the Origin Cave that he was gonna be able to eat this entire thing. It was literally as big as he was. Now he was just annoyed at himself, since he hadn’t really thought this through. His eyes had been bigger than his stomach earlier and now he had a
humongous fruit staring him in the face… Hmm… He began eating, slowly, enjoying the sweet flavor and the juices now running down his chin. He’d have to have a bath later to clean up or his fur would be sticky forever!
Occasionally, he turned to look up at the bird, and then a slow seed of jealousy began to grow in his mind. It had been quiet for some time when he finally spoke again. This time there was no challenge in his voice. Instead, he was once again quiet.
“I wish I could fly,” he murmured, staring up at the bird’s wings in admiration.
“Then I wouldn’t have to run. If someone was bothering me I could just fly away and no one could catch me. Plus, it must be amazing to look down at everything all the time…” He gave a sigh as he continued eating.

Well, looks like he has been ignored this time. Well, that's no good, his mood was getting better, oh well... Watching on with his own curiosity and resting his still slightly sore leg to see if the monkey was ready for good old round 2, besides who's to say that the monkey won't try and steal the fruit he picks? Not everyone is above averting to attempt the dirty tricks that
this world expects them to do for the supposed survival. Albeon's mulling in looking back on things with his cynicism has gotten his mood back down to his bitterness again.
Albeon breaks out of his trance in his serious moment when he hears the monkey whining again about something else. What is it this time? Oh? He wishes to fly, this perked a slight amusement in him when he sees how jealous he is, although the seriousness came back again over that whole 'wouldn't have to run' was mentioned.
"Flying has saved me from a savage who thought he could do whatever he wanted to another life. It's sickening how someone like that is considered to be at the 'top'." He too quietly said to himself uncaring on whether or not the monkey heard what he said. Still, he could be nice and let the monkey fly for a few secs, although it will be more for Albeon's own amusement. Setting his vision on the monkey whilst concentrating on his horn shaped gem and feels the Magicka spark up, well let's get ready...
Oh are you KIDDING me? That's the first time that's a failure but COME ON. He angrily thought, he SUPPOSES he could try again even though he should really use his spell on a fruit instead...
