So the mighty panther had come back with nothing. Tuck didn’t know whether to feel sad or happy about that. On one hand, his new friend would remain hungry for a time, which wasn’t good. But on the other, at least now the marmoset wouldn’t have to witness the possible devouring of a rabbit. Even if it was a Lesser Gembound, that didn’t make the watching of its death any less gruesome… Although… He assumed that Nassir would have come back with a dead rabbit, not a live one. He didn’t seem the type to be a jerk and kill a creature right in front of the marmoset. So that was good, at least.
“Maybe you should become an herbivore,” Tuck joked as he ate the last of his berries.
“At least then you wouldn’t have to chase after your food! Even insects are annoying to try and catch sometimes.” Tuck mostly drank tree sap as his main source of food, but he supplemented that with fruit and insects, and the insects could be downright impossible to catch if he wasn’t fast enough.

“Flies?” Tuck replied in a surprised tone, trying to imagine a giant panther hopping around snatching flies out of the air. It didn’t quite… work in his head, which just made the whole idea funnier.
“What would do with them?” he asked Nassir.
“Eat them? I mean you’re so much bigger than a fly I can’t see you getting anything out of eating one.” He paused, thinking about it.
“I don’t even think I would get much out of eating one. I go for, like, crickets and beetles and stuff. At least they’re a lot bigger than flies, and they can’t buzz away.” Tuck fell silent after this, and looked around Polaris in quiet curiosity.

Tuck was only half-listening to the panther at this point, but he did catch the last bit — the part about Polaris being pretty.
“Yeah, it is,” he agreed.
“Hey, have you…?” He paused, trying to think of the best way to describe the feeling inside him right then.
“Do you feel… different here?” he finally asked.
“Like… in the other parts of Origin Cave, I can’t feel Magic buzzing around in the air, but here, it’s like… I can feel it humming in my body.” He looked over at Nassir, wondering if the panther could feel it, too, or if he was just going crazy.
“Is it just me?”
Tuck was, in fact, so enthralled by this feeling of extra energy in the air, that he wandered off, away from Nassir, without even thinking about it...

@Nassir -- Tuck is referring to an IC reaction to the fact that posting in Polaris gives the player extra Magicka. And there's this description at the bottom of Polaris' blurb: "Visitors to this room often feel more energetic than usual, a product of an aggregation of magic that continues to grow over time."
