ORIGIN

Probably should just be called 'Puck' Fruit, then again the word 'Puck' means a creature of sorts he thinks in stories, may give others the wrong impression. However, no matter what sort of name it gives, he'll still try it, while some of the things he tries to do is somewhat noble if over the top especially from the thing with the cat... Albeon deep down is just quite the daredevil and he would've still tried it even if it was called something like 'Monster Fruit' since he needs to get a palette of as many fruits as he can, any food that's not meat.

Looking up with his eyes towards the roo when he had his fruit raised a bit... Damn he wants to do a cheers of sort but he doesn't think that his wings can really do a cheers, the roo just looks raring to go anyway, so he'd probably not want to stretch out time for a cheers. He nods in agreement when he said they'll do it on a count of three, and he goes back to silently staring down at this bright red fruit... He doesn't like red it's like blood... But he'll deal with that later the roo doesn't need to know his drama shit.

'Three!' Hearing the word that's says it's his cue, immediately he bites down on it with his large beak.

Oh God...

Absolute awareness of biting into it and the taste makes his brows furrow, the taste remains on his tongue like pure torture itself; the flavours of powerful sourness from the fruit collide and cling to his palette with such great instability like he was about to be poisoned and let only his Gem be remained… His outward stoic mask that usually only breaks from the strong rage of seeing injustice is smashed to smithereens now from biting into this fruit, clashes with ineffective attempts to ward this sour taste off continues, since it’s almost impossible to forcibly fight off something that is horribly distasting, it must pass itself. The fruit is too much to the point he’s outright wants to vilify it now, out of impulse of this revolting thing his Magick activates out of some self-preservation to ward off this horrendous thing away from him.

For once his Spell works and it's thrown away from Albeon by his Spell, which then rolls down a small slope from where it lands by the Spell. This fruit is inedible; it couldn't be eaten at all. But he has to endure this... Alongside the roo, who he slightly sees that is getting a negative response too, worse off than he is actually. They did it though... Even if it probably was a dumb idea.

For a long while the joey didn't say anything, just held his forepaws up to his mouth and lay doubled over while the taste soaked his tongue. Finally though when he was able to speak and open up his eyes he looked up at the raven with a grin on his face. "Wot a wallop! That was like a kick'in th'snout wasn't et?" Despite having just been put through one of the most awful tastes in his young life he seemed to actually... enjoy it? Sure, the taste was powerful and a bit painful but he had a strange sort of like for it! Perhaps... maybe... later not now, he could try it again!

The young kangaroo rose to his hind paws and sat back on his tail, a goofy smile on his face as he began to massage his jaws. "You seem like a fair dinkum pal, mate. Wot's yer name? Mine's Buckthorn!" Anyone that wanted to follow through on his crazy plan of trying a Pucker Fruit was alright in his book... even if he'd nearly gotten beaned at the beginning.

Even though it was inedible to him, he succeeded in managing to swallow the small piece of fruit... Note to self-use those as emergencies of food instead of meat. Still the whole time when he bit into it his body was utterly paralysed like a statue from the stun and horror of how sour it is. He was able to move again when the sourness at last passed. His gaze looked on in wonder when the roo smiled at him and said what it felt like, he was still a little stunned from how much that tasted so Albeon thinks over on what to answer back first "Yeah, I'm starting to see why only insects feed on them." That was the best he could get out of his mind now, a simple matter of fact.

Really weird someone as great as him could be swayed from mere fruit, to the point that it broke his stoic mask greatly, a mask since that's not how he feels inwardly too much anger, apathy and now guilt which he is trying to bury with a stoic mask and the occasional fake smiles, sometimes they're legitimate when he successfully distracts himself with something distracting and fun such as this or with his genuine arrogance, things that help make the reality fact of the things he has seen be too blinding and hazy in his memories.

He did feel some relief when the roo came back on foot, he was worried that he officially went insane, must've been terrible for him too seeing how he's massaging his jaws, yet he apparently has a liking to it? Well then again he's pretty masochistic himself somewhat. Hearing being called 'dinkum' though which he thinks means is something amongst 'honest' causes Albeon to blush a little bit, he doesn't know why though, just except on how he hates lies that's all though. "Oh it's Albeon. Hey Buckthorn." raising his wing in a sort of pose to greet him and show off in a cool way.

He wiped a paw across his mouth, removing the last vestiges of juice he had left on his maw. Maybe insects had a high penchant for sour things, he had no idea. Perhaps he could learn a thing or two from the tiny buggers. Like how to properly tolerate sour for when he inevitably tried the fruit again.

His new feathered pal hid his blush quite well, perhaps it was the dark feathers or perhaps it was the fact that the roo was far too young to completely know what "blush" was, in either case he grinned and nodded his head when the bird gave his name. Albeon, eh? Wasn't a bad name. He liked it! "Albeon it is then! Nice t'meetcha!" He tilted his head at the little pose that the bird gave and in a fit of childish wonder tried to imitate it himself...

It wasn't nearly is cool looking as the bird with his large feathered wings but he tried all the same, lifting up a paw in a sort of wave and standing up high on his large rear paws before leaning back on his tail again, content at his attempt. "So, uh, Alby --mind if I call ya that?-- d'ya know where some good eats are 'round here? I'm fair hungry!" He didn't know what huge birds ate but if he was willing to try a fruit then no doubt he should know where some other edibles were.

Watching Buckthorn clean off the rest of the sticky juice Albeon sticks his wings behind his head, weaving this feathers together while he waits out in a very relaxed manner like he was taking a break until when he's done with that. He might try and learn from bugs himself... Unless all bugs here are Lessers then both of them will have a hard time with that. Still even if it feels inedible to him, it's not exactly literally inedible, a literal one would be one that's has poison in it, thus being too perilous to feed on, so he'll probably try one as an emergency.

Good thing, even if he truly is in a way quite an impulsive, emotional one and not stoic at all really, unlike a certain wolf he has encountered a few times who truly is stoic and not just some fake mask, which is probably one reason besides being so different from that bastard canine is why he respects her. But since it is a mask he likes it when others who don't see things on him that otherwise show his mask is a fake. Ironic... He hates lies with a passion, and yet he is really lying to himself by acting somewhat different. Never mind... Stop the brooding, it won't help just... stop you already did this earlier. Brushing these worthless thoughts away from him again, he smiles back at Buckthorn when he said it was nice to meet Albeon, but it was a bit of a sad smile for a brief second before finally brushing all those thoughts away completely, looking like a normal smile again as he nods at Buckthorn.

His eyes do widen a bit in strong confusion as to what in the world is going on when Buckthorn is doing something different. Ohhhh... He's trying to do the pose too... Well he was trying to show off with it himself, so success in that. In response of acknowledgement he disconnects his wings from the hold they have together and puts them back to his sides, lifting one back up to his front and gives a silent thumb up of sort with his feathers in response to the attempt at the pose.

Putting his wing back to use both of them to shrug "Sure thing" when he was about whether he wanted to be called that, sure there was a special meaning to it and all... But he's not like Mosi who'll take offence to a suggestion of a different name, well that's how he interprets him anyway. Still he can help with food... True some birds do feed on other creatures... But he's not like that, ravens do eat fruit anyway so. "Well if you want something say, sweet then perhaps the Watermelon Fruit in the tree there will be of good choice." Pointing his wing to the Watermelon Tree that's close by. He wants to show off again so, and since it'll be easier on Buckthorn he tries to set his Magick again on one of the Watermelon Fruits, he has done this before when he was pretty young, so it won't make sense if it fails... Nostalgia though, what a nice thing...

His concentration is a bit too relaxed so the plucking was a bit delayed, but he got it in the end as it falls to the ground. He can eat there if he wants to.

Hey, this guy had everything figured out! He was as cool as a cucumber in winter! The kangaroo nodded his head, he could do with a bit of sweetness after the sour ordeal. He turned to look back at the tree that the bird indicated and with barely concealed excitement began to lick his lips in anticipation. Finally, one of the fruit gave a jerk and fell from the branch of the ancient tree.

"Alright! Thanks a bunch, mate!" With that he hop-walked over to the fruit and began to attempt to crack it open. It took a few tries but he finally managed to break the thing open with a wet cracking sound. The sweet insides of the fruit were revealed to the kangaroo as he lay down and began to eat his meal. "Gotta tell ya, bucko. This is some top-quality grub right here. You sure know yer stuff." His eyes half-closed as he enjoyed his succulent meal.

Well yeah... Had some experience he guesses. Well whatever, his mask of coolness has been maintained even if it is a fake so yeah awesome. He won't join in the sweetness though, like he thought before he's not crazy for them, not to add since he's seen what the strong temptation of hunger can do to one's mind, he'd rather draw away from that temptation at all costs, he means... Sure maybe he has already stooped to something considered 'demonic' what with the cat and all, but still that temptation can lead to something even more outright disturbing and 'demonic' so he'd rather not let such a temptation get to him.

Oh god damnit Albeon stop thinking these ackamarackus things! Knock it off seriously! Shaking his head violently in a desperate to get rid of these thoughts out of him for a good while, at this rate with these thoughts he might have to bash his head on a wall to get rid of them. Might get amnesia from doing that... Amnesia... What a nice sounding thing. Then again his gem is in the way of his head, while it will help in cushioning painful falls that results in landing on his head, he doubts it'll be a good idea to bash it against a wall and damage it.

Finally getting them back out of his mind, he gave a grunt in response to the thanks, heh at least externally he looks like this experienced, level-headed guy, especially when he said to Albeon that he knows his stuff. Aww thanks, he tries. Really. Watching on silently while Buck here enjoys the Watermelon Fruit.
