Out of all of her wanderings this was the farthest she'd gone from her mother and family. Why did she defy her mother so? Why did she run away so often? Because she wanted to be herself which she couldn't do while her pessimistic mom was around. So she left to go it alone and alone brought her to the great room of Polaris where the great stone spire stood crackling. The tiny little liogoose wandered around it searching for something to call her own. Anything.

Back in Eridanus she'd gotten a feather from Riffi which she kept to herself, wrapped in the thick fur around her neck as a sort of decorative item. She was down on all-fours now as she scoured the base of the large spire. It took a while but she finally found something embedded in the earth. Quickly she began to dig with her sharp foreclaws before she finally unearthed a blue crystal! Nice! The tiny liogoose sat on her rump as she held the item up in her paws, allowing the lights from the ceiling to catch it. "Well, hello there beautiful!" She chuckled to herself, wouldn't this be a nice lil' addition to her still tiny collection of items? She needed more things... much much more but she didn't know where she would find all of these things yet.

Ever since being chased out of his hatching grounds, the poor boar had been wandering from tunnel to tunnel. Every time he thought he found something that was his he got chased off by someone bigger, and had hardly noticed his own growth since those days. Now he was twice as tall as a golden retriever and twice as heavy, not that he knew that or what a golden retriever was. Despite never really holding onto things for long before he was chased out of his shelters, the boar had developed a peculiar phenomenon. He almost swore that when he was near something sparkly or magic his snout started to twitch. Granted that could be psychological, maybe he subconsciously felt something beneath his hooves and wasn't aware of it, but he didn't know or ponder the how and why.

"Here, here is good." He squealed to himself, he wiggled his haunches as he backed up and smacked his snout into the earth. Between fervent snuffles of air and turn, his front hooves were churning the earth and flinging it around him. Given his size and his natural qualities for digging, it didn't take long before his nose hit something solid. Taking it in his mouth he hauled it out of the ground and dropped it into the mound of dirt, to cushion his treasure from impact. He had found a decent chunk of crystal, nearly the size of an apple and a pleasing shade of blue. "This, this is good." He nodded, satisfied with himself and completely ignorant of the atrocious ruckus he caused while digging.

The tiny creature marveled at the gem she managed to find before she clenched it into her paw and began to root around again, this time for something else besides crystals. What on earth could she be looking for? Why, bugs, of course. Her tiny nose snuffled at the earth while she dug here and there looking for little insects. However, she couldn't find anything! Her little paws dug frantically and little nose snuffled wildly but nothing was turning up. Perhaps it was that racket that had just started up nearby? At first she tried to ignore it in favor of finding bugs but then it became too much and with an exaggerated sigh she stomped over on her tiny rear paws to find a huge pig digging about in the dirt.

"Hey!" She yelled but found she could hardly hear herself over the din. "Knock it o--eee!" She squealed and leaped off to the side as a pile of dirt nearly crashed down on her. Annoyed she leaped onto a nearby stone and yelled at the large porcine after he'd finished digging around. "Could ya be any louder, porky?" Her tiny paws, with crystal still clutched in paw, went to her hips as she stared up at him and-- well, hello-- that lovely crystal. It made hers look quite insignificant. Boy, how she wished she could have dug that one up! "Gee, what a nice find that is! I'm jealous! Irritation at losing a meal was forgotten as she stared at the pretty blue item of his.

After working so hard to dig up that gem, Boaris continued to dig in hopes of finding food. Suddenly he heard a nagging voice in his head. Wait, that voice wasn't in his head at all! But it was certainly nagging. Turning his snout from hole to pole(cat), almost fast enough to give himself whiplash. The sudden movement meant his hoof scrambled for a new spot, one hit the loose pile of dirt and the other twisted in the hole and caused him to trip with an audible groan. Stirred by this minor earthquake, the large gem tottered from the top of the dirt pile that had a hoof buried in it. The detritus gave way under the sizable crystal, and it began rolling. In a panic the boar slapped his face against it as it neared the edge, had things gone even slightly worse that gem would've been lost forever off the edge of the spire.

"See what you did?" The boar grunted, lifting himself out of the hole he was in and safely nudging the gem back into position. He was seemingly unhurt by that stumble, except perhaps for his pride.

After she spoke to him it seemed like she'd completely shocked him. He whipped around quite quickly for a large guy but it turned out he wasn't so graceful. It seemed like he snagged a hoof in the earth and came toppling over, disturbing the ground and the pebble that Ser was resting upon. Thinking fast she leaped away, trying to avoid getting knocked onto the ground by the vibrating force. After it seemed like the worst was over she made her way back over to the large boar, arms folded across her chest as she looked up at him.

Classic Ser fashion she scoffed and feigned complete fearlessness at the pig's words. "Hardly, I didn't knock yer gem over. You did that! An' you didn't even say thank-you when I said it was a good one." she turned her head away as if she were offended, "Rude!" Still, it would have sucked if it fell into the river but she still held fast that it was his own fault for being so clumsy with his big pig feet.

Stamping his hooves in the mud he growled at nothing in particular, his growl deepening when his magic failed to bloom mushrooms where he stepped. "I don't like your attitude, you remind me of someone who took my crystal, and he taught me that pretty girls like you are always problems too, cause that other one helped him do it." He huffed, lips and snout flapping. He didn't know you're not supposed to tell girls they're pretty, or that he should've probably felt embarrassed about doing it. In the magical glowing light of the Spire's crystals, which naturally reflected off of the large crystal he had dug up, the small tusks that were peaking past his upper lips were visibly refracting the light in a way only a gem could. Despite being naturally part of his jaw the tusks weren't smooth like natural ones, but instead were rough and had many facets, it didn't seem to be sharp enough to bother him though. They'd probably grow into menacing weapons one day.

He sat down in the mud, keeping his apple sized blue crystal between his front legs. He obviously distrusted this cute creature.

The young pig began to stamp in front of her, a show that probably should have left her fearful and running for cover but the feisty young liogoose stood up to him with arms still crossed over her fluffy chest. Her silvery-blue eyes blazed up at him, refusing to give even an inch. "Yeah, well, I don't... don't... wait... what?" Had he called her pretty? Ser's head tilted to the side as she blinked up at him all of a sudden becoming lost for words. No one had ever called her "pretty" before. She didn't know how to react. Her ears felt warm and a strange fluttering happened in her stomach before she shook her head and glared up at him. How dare he say such a thing and make the fuzzies happen in her belly! That was so... so... rude!

"Well, I don't like your stupid glow-y tusks! They're stupid! You're stupid! I'm glad they took your crystal!" She yelled not quite sure that she said it at all when in fact the light catching off of them was quite nice. She also didn't think he was stupid but in the heat of the moment with the strange new emotions she just screamed it impulsively at him out of frustration, besides, part of what he'd said before was an insult.

The Boar stood up with a huff, raked his hoof through the mud, and charged towards the girl. Slamming his forelegs into the mud he suddenly stopped and dug his face into the ground, scooping up the earth, the pebble, and the liogoose all at once and flinging it over head with the momentum from his dash straight towards the river behind him. "You need to wash your mouth out for that! Along with the rest of you." He huffed in a disgruntled squeal.

After what she thought of as a so-clever insult the liogoose turned her head to the side haughtily with closed eyes as if he was so beneath her that she wouldn't even look at him. All of this worked to her disadvantage when the boar charged her. All she heard was the thundering hooves which she responded to by opening an eye... and that was all she had time for as she was scooped unceremoniously from the ground and thrown over the pig's back.

Serendipity let out a terrified screech as she flew through the air and finally splashed into the water. The liogoose got a mouthful of the surf for her screaming and for a moment she went under, disappearing for a lengthy few seconds. Finally though she popped back up with forelock draping over her eyes and blue gem entirely lost. Ser coughed out water and sneezed as she paddled back up to shore and hauled herself out. "By the All Mother your a freakin' asshole, ya know that?! Just.. Just... AAAHH!" She walked right back up to the boar on all fours with water dripping off on her and let out a fierce roar! Only... She was still a cub so it was more of an angry yowling meow but a fierce and loud one for her size. However, with her impromptu dip into the pool she wasn't feeling particularly fierce... the water had put a damper on her ego so she sat in the mud with a pout on her face as, cat-like, she began to groom the water out of her auburn fur.

The boar stomped over to her, glaring down at her with his unnaturally orange eyes. He sat with her between his forelegs, forced to stare at his chest or look up at him. He reared back and slammed his hooves into the mud on either side of her, and the smell of fruit cocktails slowly emanated from the ground. Around his ankles, where the earth began outside of the hole, small black trumpets grew from the mud. They were sparse and small, his magic had only just barely worked, but they were still a snack. "Shut up you pretty girl." He squealed, once more mistaking the word 'pretty' as the feminine form of 'stupid'.

He removed his hooves from the ground and backed up slightly so that he could hunch over and nip at the shrooms around one the leftmost hoof hole, he was conspicuously not touching the blooms around the right hoof hole which was noticeably closer to her. Not that he cared if she ate or anything, but he got angry when he was hungry sometimes and girls were weird so who knows if they did too.
