He was flying around blindly once again in the Tunnels. Honestly instead of fluttering around everywhere he should ask things indirectly. He doesn't need to outright say that he saw some vision, could just ask about a black dragon, actually Baratheon is a dragon maybe he knows. Deciding he should just go back to Eridanus to speak to Baratheon himself and perhaps ask why he was flying around the caves, because yeah the vision got that bad he has completely forgotten what the hell he was doing flying around the caves. Out of his thoughts he looks around his surroundings and sees the Tunnel he is in leads to some parts of the cave on one side it's...

...

Oh gods... It's Canis, his birthplace... Well... That's ruined his mood and he has been avoiding that hellhole ever since he first left it, all he can think to do is fly away. All Albeon can think to do is fly, as far and as swift as he can. Panic rising from just seeing that place's entrance he snaps his eyes shut, turns his head away from it and flies to the other direction... Opening them back up to find where it all really began... Back in Orion...

Well he's in a bad mood now from seeing Canis again so he'll take it out on some of Mosi's precious stars again,it isn't unlawful to do that. But he thinks he hears something...

Somewhere in Orion, there was a cat — a cat who had not been seen or heard from in a very, very long time. Ji’bassa had been so long without contact with Greater Gembounds that he had completely forgotten what it was like to be civilized. He wasn’t necessarily a bad Gembound now — only he’d forgotten how to speak, how to have a regular old conversation, how to turn off his fight-or-flight response. He avoided Greater Gembounds at all costs, because he did not trust them. He came out of hiding only when no one was around. He was relatively skinny, seeing as there wasn’t all that much to eat in Orion, and he’d never been anywhere else in all his 16 cycles.

In fact, right now he was downright starving. He used his senses of smell and hearing to detect a possible Lesser Gembound creature to eat, having lost his Magical abilities a long time ago and no longer able to sense others’ heartbeats. Soon enough he smelled a mouse den, set up in the crumbling walls of one of the buildings, and went to investigate. The mice all sensed him coming and scrambled to the far reaches of their den, but the wall that protected them was no longer structurally sound and he pawed his way through the cement dust and caused all of the mice to scatter outwards.

Bassa growled and turned quickly before they all ran too far away, leaping towards one of the little creatures. He landed on it with his front paws, though not hard enough to kill it, and tore it in half with his teeth, cutting short its sharp squeal of pain. He swallowed the pieces whole without chewing and immediately sought out more of the stupid creatures, intent on eating all of them! The sounds of the screaming mice were causing quite a racket, probably alerting one raven that Ji’bassa was as yet unaware of.

Although he hears something initially he ignored it and stared down at the room below him with his expression in solemn melancholy, with his scarf blowing to the side from some gentle breeze. It was honestly almost a cycle exactly since he came to this place. When he met Baratheon and things seemed to look up for him a bit and then the world decided to be a dick to him again and torture him again. Whatever... Why care? The thoughts of apathy striking back since he isn't preoccupying his mind and so they're happening again, doesn’t help how he got a clear image of the graveyard Canis... Closing his eyes for no reason in thought a bit... Will things ever look up again...?

From afar a strong scream of pain seemed to break the silence across the room...

Eyes snapping open and looks around frantically as to where that came from. What is it?! Is it Mosi with his old shitty antics again?! He does live here after all! If that's the case though... Even if he lacks the power now... He must confront him, smashing his precious stars here will not be enough in punishing him if he hasn't learned from his failed attempt with killing the raven. Taking an immediate take off with his wings, the strong force of his wings that let him take off in the air in some instant caused shockwaves on the ground he was just perched on with some breeze of winds coming from the flapping of his wings around the ground too. He hurriedly flew over wherever he heard that sound.

Finding the source to see that it wasn't Mosi but a different being he has never met before. Around it was a bunch of helpless mice... And a corpse of one settled on the other Gembounds paws... An expression of pain and horror on the now lifeless body before witnessing the one in front of it feed on it with no qualms... His eyes were widening his breath felt short... OK... In & Out... From seeing that ordeal... Don't worry about it, it's just one... But then he saw the other Gembound pursue the other mice around it that were all screaming in fear... No... This is just wrong, unlawful... How is this OK?

With this something just snapped in the raven, his look of horror morphed into pure rage his beak making an expression like he was gritting teeth. His eyes a look of anger and since the out of control in his mind meant a occasional surge of power in his Gem which seems to be making his eyes glow a little sometimes. Still in the air just hovering over the Gembound when he was witnessing it commit this horrible act. Swiftly he dives straight for it with his razor sharp talons out planning to aim for the head. If no one will punish them for doing these horrible things, then he'll do them himself!

Coming closer his talons are very close right now, almost there... the other savage is just right within reach now, and will have a taste of their own medicine!

Round: 1/5
Attack: Attack skull with talons
Defenses: none
Injuries: none.

The metallic scent and taste of blood was everywhere, and there was a white mist overtaking his vision. Everyone always describes a rage as having a red mist, but no. Bassa was seeing white dots in his vision, probably from breathing harder and running. And then he heard a flap of wings behind and above him and he turned his head in time to see the talons of some kind of black bird coming down towards him. He deftly avoided the sharp pointy things and hissed at the bird. He’d never seen a bird like it before, which meant it had to be a Greater Gembound. This filled the cat with a fear he had never felt before. Fear and anger. He’d been avoiding contact with others for long that suddenly being thrust into this confrontation ruined his whole day.

As the bird came swooping down towards him, he reached out and attempted to snag the bird with his claws, hoping to slam it into the ground so he could fight it easier.

Attack: Attempt to snag bird with claws and slam it into the ground
Defenses: none

He was certain that he could strike that savage down as punishment, so his over-confidence made his dive too relaxed and his anger made him too impulsive to bother seeing that the other detected him. That is until he saw the being turn their head to his direction and since he's too angered to bother backing off he still goes for it, being vastly irritated still when his attack was dodged and hissed at the raven which makes him silently glare down at it... No qualms whatsoever... So disgustingly unlawful... Circling around the feline in preparation for the next attack with his talons still out refusing to back down. He backs away in surprise to see it counter attack, he doesn't know but it seems to lack knowledge or something... The feline couldn't reach with how he made a climb in altitude with his wings, but it almost did as it managed to lace its paw around his scarf... Almost pulling him down to the ground, barely managing to pull it away, or well snatch it away, altitude lowered a little bit. Damnit you savage, paws off the scarf! This is of very sentimental value, he shall not let it be ruined!

Seeing that perhaps physical attacks will be tricky in this darkness he decides to just stick to Magick... With that he chooses his trademark, may be hard to do in this dark but he'll do it! A small radius but effective even with these limitations is the neck. And so he tries to see if he can at least get it to back off in hunting these poor things, but he'll go to extremes if it won't back down. His Gem shaking and his eyes seem to have a slight purple as he concentrates on his opponent's neck in hopes he can in a way clench on it tightly. He has never tried using these type of Spells around the neck or more specifically the wind pipe so he doesn't know if it'll work or not.

Round: 2/5
Attack: Strangle neck with Phantom Hold!
Defenses: none
Injuries: None.

Having completely missed the raven by some inches, Ji’bassa, who could now not even remember his own name, was promptly pissed. He’d been trying to eat and now this stupid bird was ruining everything! How had he somehow missed the fact that he hadn’t been alone in this space? He’d so deftly avoided contact with others for so long that the fact that he’d not only been spotted, but also downright attacked surprised, enraged, and rather embarrassed him. Now he was all for murdering the bird. Unfortunately it was now out of his reach. He was unaware of the failed spell attempt chokehold, and was now trying to figure out how the hell to hurt the bird or knock out of the air —

What if he threw something at it? But what? He looked around frantically. He couldn’t throw a rock. He had no thumbs to grab rocks with. He only had claws, and they could only snag onto soft things… What about a mouse? Yeah! He quickly sought out a mouse he’d killed right before the bird had showed up and snagged it with a claw, and then turned quickly and flung it as hard as he could up towards the bird. This would probably never work in a million years but he needed a way to level the playing field here and this was the best he could come up with.

Round: 2/5
Attack: Attempt to knock bird out of the air with a dead mouse XD no seriously
Defenses: none
Injuries: none
By some rebound the Spell he used seemed to strangle himself instead somehow... Damnit! First the vision now this?! Come on not now seriously! Feeling the loss of air on himself from his Spell tightening on his neck instead, which has caused a huge opening of weakness on him for his opponent to exploit as he lowered his altitude even more.

Regaining his breath when he quickly stopped the concentration of his Spell, if it actually got the savage instead then the Spell would've been activated for a bit longer depending on whether that savage would actually back down and learn their lesson. Taking in some time to regain his breath for dizziness with his Arcane Spells is not the best of ideas at all.

Looking back to his opponent he was taken by surprise when he saw something flying towards him and whacked him in the chest knocking the wind out of him more with his body tensing up & annealing from the pain as he was finally knocked down to the ground. What the hell...? Wait... Blood? Looking now he sees it... The mouse corpse... Thrown at him like some object...

...

How dare that bastard! No conscience at all! They will pay! They will understand how it feels! Standing back up but he's not going to go back in the air... No he needs full focus they WILL understand how it feels! Gem shaking again with his concentration intending to choke again, now that he was on the ground all he needs to do is concentrate on his Magick no need to multitask in flying and casting a Spell which may have caused that screw up.

Full concentration on the neck once again he's not going to back down at all from this savage NEVER!

Round: 3/5
Attack: Strangle neck again, but with Telekinesis this time!
Defenses: none
Injuries: A little sore on the chest and neck, but just dull aches.

The cat stared in amazement when the mouse actually, somehow, slammed into the bird, and it fell to the ground. In fact, he was so distracted by the fact that that had somehow worked that he allowed the bird the chance to regain its composure and cast a spell. And suddenly he couldn’t breathe. Well, he could, kind of, as the spell wasn't very strong. But still, his windpipe seemed to be a little bit crushed, and it took more effort to get a breath in. Therefore, he was almost unable to concentrate. He had no idea that the bird was causing his suffocation, so he fought through his shortness of breath and lunged at it, trying to tackle it to the ground so that it could not get away again!

Words: 131 @Albeon

Round: 3/5
Attack: Attempt to lunge at bird, knocking it over and pinning it underneath him.
Defenses: none
Injuries: Slow suffocation, shortness of breath
He doesn't understand at all, this savage seems to be relying only on instinct, although that only explains things, doesn't justify at ALL! Yet there are things that indicate otherwise such as the stun from that disgusting mouse toss thing actually being a success... But then again this savage is clearly being choked this time and yet it's still going after him regardless... Still his body anneals in preparations taking flight again when it was just about a hair width away from him in its charge to cause a moment of distraction now that there seems to be a bit more here...

He'll give this thing one final chance and WARNING. Concentrating on his Gem fully again this time however he has no intention of attack he shall use his Spell as an attempt of communication "Speak. What is the problem here?" Shall be the words the feline shall hear if things turn out well, he doesn't know if it'll hear him... If not, it will be the conclusion that things need to be dealt with force right away...

Round: 4/5
Attack: None.
Defenses: Attempts of distraction & reason.
Injuries: Small sores.

Ugh! Fighting this bird was nothing like fighting Lesser Gembounds! Of course, being a domestic cat meant the biggest thing he’d ever fought was a cave rat, but still. They were way easier to catch because they were stupid. The bird, on the other hand, had easily evaded Bassa’s attempt to knock him down and now he was in the air again! The cat let out a yowl of frustration and was about to jump up into the air to catch it, but then he heard a voice in his head.

Speak. What is the problem here?

The cat recoiled, allowing the bird to gain more altitude. He was severely confused, having never had something like that happen before! He shunned the voice, it having been far too long for him to even remember what words meant. He hadn’t spoken in 15 cycles, over a year’s time, and he’d been but a child the last time he’d uttered words. He had no idea what had even just happened, let alone realized the words were the raven’s.

Suddenly coming back to himself, and now more determined than ever to kill this annoying thing, he launched himself into the air with his back leg muscles, and attempted to clap his paws together around the bird to drag it back to the ground. Again. He had to stop letting it escape!
