Pepper, by the look of her, had not had any sleep for days. But the truth was quiet different. Pepper had only just woken after being asleep for three days, and she was cloaked in dust and mud. The strange voice that was actually her own was mocking her and laughing and crying sarcastically. Pepper stood mournfully and started washing herself, wishing the now-sniggering voice to go away. It whispered something inaudible and Pepper growled grumpily. Of course, no sound came out. 'Poor Peps,' laughed the voice, dancing in Pepper's ears. The words stung like wasps. 'Sorry, Peps.' It was sighing now, but also giggling. Pepper would hopefully some day learn to control it. Until then, there was no escape.
Cuanakrys came across a grumpy, mousy-looking thing. Cuan shook her head, and greeted he/she/it/them. "Hello. Have we met before, in daydream or reality?" Cuanakrys swished her tail, hoping for an answer.
@Pepper
Pepper stared at the strange being. 'Ooh it's an ugly thing,' laughed her voice and Pepper blushed and shook her messy head. She tried to speak but nothing came out and she pointed to her mouth in hope to tell the newcomer this was not her speaking, it was just her pocessed voice. The tears fell from her eyes and her heart gave a small jump as she silently begged to be forgiven.
Cuanakrys replied with "So we have not met. Well, i am cuanakrys, or cuan as some call me. And I don't care how i look." Cuan then smiled, and asked The gembound their name.

((The roll was accidental))
Pepper gave a sorrowful grunt. She smiled and asked, in her own way, if she could be friends with this newcomer. Hopefully he wouldn't care she was currently unable to speak. Perhaps they could still be friends.
Pepper washed herself briefly and waited for a reply.
@cuanakrys
"You appear to be friendly. I have never really befriended anyone before. They all think i am crazy..." Cuanakrys replied, daydreaming while doing so. She wondered if she could tell the other gembound that she had daydreamed of a void, filled with weird monsters.
@Pepper
Pepper was overcome with relief. She whined joyfully and groomed herself proudly. 'How nice,' the voice mumbled sarcastically. 'Took Peps long enough to make a friend.' Pepper made a growling sound and a lonely tear fell down her cheek, isolating her feelings.
'She's asking you to forgive her,' the voice muttered, softer now. 'She's sorry.'
@cuanakrys
"Would you like to hear a story?" Cuanakrys asked. "I can't tell storys like the storytellers, but I can try."
