Aaliyah walked through Pisces, Imperia at her side. Their words rang through her head. "It's time you fought for the first time. Someone besides me. You're cycles old. You need to learn how to fight, and it'd be better if you fought someone closer to your age." She shuddered slightly. She didn't want to fight! But she had no choice. She could only hope that there was no one nearby.
After some time, movement caught her eyes. Turning, she saw a young wolf climb up onto a rocky ledge. She felt Imperia tense, and then whisper in her ear. "Alright, that looks like as good a candidate as any. Go on up to them. Strike a conversation. Don't fight them right away. Make them trust you, and then attack!" She sighed, but walked closer cautiously.
"Um, hello?" She looked up at them. "Why are you up there?"

Aaliyah watched as the other slid down and then spoke. "Oh. Did I scare some prey away? Sorry." She lowered her ears for a moment. "I'm...traveling around, I guess. With...uh. With them." She motioned with her head toward Imperia, who was watching them with their eyes narrowed. "They're...uh. My parent."
She glanced over at them for a moment before turning back to the wolf. "I've only gone hunting a few times. Imperia usually hunts for me. But I know what you mean. I, uh, lived for the first cycle of my life in just Orion. It gets boring after a while, though. It was fun to climb up the buildings though! I couldn't do that very often, though. It made Imperia mad." Her ears and head lowered again.

Aaliyah listened to him for a moment. When he mentioned Polaris, her ears perked a little. "Yeah, I've been to Polaris! I was there before I came over here. I was there for some time. When I got there, Imperia-" she stopped. She had almost slipped out that Imperia had fought someone-Kin-kin-and had lost. But she hadn't. She also couldn't tell him about how she had had her first battle there. Quickly, she wracked her brain, trying to think of something to say. "Imperia took me on a tour and told me more about magic, and how Polaris seems to buzz with energy." That was believable, right? She hoped so.
"Yeah, I guess so. We've only been to Polaris and here, after having spent my first cycle in Orion. I don't know where they plan to take me next." Aaliyah shifted her paws. She glanced back at Imperia, who was watching with their eyes narrowed. She gulped and turned back, giving a weak smile toward the wolf. She sat there for a moment before a thought seemed to occur to her. "Hey, what's your name? Mine's Aaliyah. You can call me Li though, if you want to."
