Again with the compliments. Kin-Kin kept on smirking broadly the more they spoke. She had to fight hard to stop her tail wagging unnecessarily hard. Instead, it simply twitched back and forth. The gilded maiden had to keep her cool. "Heh-heh... well, I'll let you be the judge of that," she said coolly, knowing that they couldn't not be impressed at what she ad in store for them.
At their request, Kin-Kin cleared her throat and shook her mane, the light dancing across her fur. She held her head high and looked at them coolly. "One thing you gotta remember... is that if ya put your mind to it, you can do anything. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't done so myself, but... just look at me now."
A wry chuckle escaped her.
She hadn't shown them much, that was true, however. Kin-Kin knew that she ought to demonstrate. So she recalled the words she'd spoken many a time in similar circumstances. "As you can see, I'm a creature bathed in light. But you can't have light without shadow. Can you?"
Kin-Kin closed her eyes and focused, but despite the glow dimming in her fur, there was no change. She grunted in a way that was somewhat surprised. She'd never failed that one before. perhaps she was losing her touch?
"Speech looks like this."
Thoughts look like this.
