Hey, I'm just curious on who else on the website is a furry. My fursona's name is blade, a black wolf, really simple I know but fuck, it's me so hey. Anyway, it would be cool to hear about any of your fursonas or anything, maybe some furry RPs you frequent ((I honestly haven't been able to find any good ones)), or anything you'd like to talk about. thx.
I've been thinking about getting back into the community as a creative hobby tbh. Gods, how long has it been. Like... 5 years? SINCE COLLEGE. The fandom just fascinates me, and there is always room for more artists! What websites do you frequent? The usual FA and stuff? I'm deciding which sites would be good to start up with again and I'm sure plenty new websites have come out since I was last a part of it.

Wife is a major advocate of Weasyl, smaller than FA but is a pretty good site. Not really that active in community much these days outside friend groups and recently started going to cons again every once in a while (actually joined this site after MFM, got real inspired to start writing again). Seeing a lot of artists using Tumblr as a primary gallery, especially among those who aren't too fond of Dragoneer.

Gosh. I miss going to conventions. Last one I went to was in 2007 I think. Thanks for the site, btw! I like how its set up with commissions and all that. I think I'll end up joining Weasyl and a few others in addition to the tumblr gallery I already have. \o /
Oh, what's Dragoneer? :O
Dragoneer is the creator of FA, and the one responsible for handing the site over to IMVU (an extremely controversial decision) a few years ago. Still a major name on FA and has been behind a few other questionable decisions including actions which appear to favor those in his inner circle while ignoring reasonable evidence of such things hurting the community at large.
I tend to avoid the drama part of the fandom though, too much to keep up with XD

Oh, I've heard about the drama. But every community has horror-drama stories so I'd be surprised if their wasn't. Good to know though, thank you! I think I will do a bit of my own research. Wasn't IMVU a shitty avatar dress-up dating thing from years back? I vaguely remember that acronym.

I actually haven't been able to find many good websites, I'm mostly on a facebook group called "free furry art". And I swear I had to sort through soooo much yiff to get to that website. I also don't have a phone so I can't get FA. Are there any sites you would recommend?

Furry amino is an app, for phones and stuff... or there's a website I'm missing... That perfectly possible

Oh! I am not sure what Furry Amino is, but we were referring to FurAffinity.net! That's been one of the biggest furry sites for as long as I can remember. But yeah! For sites, the first things that come to mind are FurAffinity, I'm gonna look into Weasyl.com, and then SoFurry.com is a thing too!
