Aeroth flicked her ears back and looked at the gem in front of her in irritation. She hoped she'd be able to reach it... it's just so pretty, the opal sitting in between the crags in the rock seemed almost perfectly shaped to catch any light that came from the deepest recesses of the caves in any way you looked at it, she wanted it. She tried to stretch forward on the branch she was on, jumping off it halfway in an attempt to plant her paws on the cracks in the stone running vertical to the two boulders which sat on either side of the opal.

Aeroth's heart seemed to stop for a second as she jumped forward, locking her paws on either boulder and digging her claws into the branch, she shouted in glee when she stuck the landing, she grabbed the opal in her mouth, carefully pulling it from the rock face. She jumped back then, hoping to not fall backwards off the branch. She made it on and swayed back and forth, almost falling off, she started making her way back down the tree then and back to her den, she was looking to start collection of these finds that she found so fascinating. When she got to the den that she dug out under a massive tree with sprawling limbs, she stuck it right nest to a quartz crystal that she found while digging the little den out. When she was done with this she lay at the entrance of her den, looking out with her head on her paws, hoping for someone to come along, she had only seen one other gem since being born, it was kinda lonely.

Aeroth cringed away from the sudden light in the darkness, letting out a soft mew and a hiss as she backed away, it having terrified her but her not wanting to show it even as her body shook with fright of the suddenness of it. She stumbled back while backing away slowly from it as she lost her footing in the soft ground. Sitting on her haunches she looked up at the creature above her. Wondering whether they were friend or enemy.

Notes:
Aeroth looked at the leopard, identifying that the light came from crystals coming from the base of their head. She velveted her paws but didn't raise her ears from the top of her head. She would show that she wouldn't fight if the other creature didn't try to harm her. Besides the leopards kind words she wasn't quick to trust even then. Anybody could lie, at any time and that was the fact of it. My name is Aeroth. Now I would perhaps trust you a little more if you told me yours." She shrunk back even then at the light radiating from the creature. She had no clue how it was made, though she wanted to know.
