Leaning forward, Gabriel clamped its teeth around the upper part of the wolf's foreleg, as high as it could possibly reach, and then bit down. The salty taste of blood filled its mouth and this triggered yet more drool to gather within its jaws, dripping down her foreleg. Looking within, the sickening feeling that had taken hold since it had created this sickness finally began to lift, as though the weight was passing on.

After longering there for a few moments, Gabriel let go, backing away and sinking back onto its haunches. It licked the blood from its jaws, deep red eyes gazing upon them, looking for any slight indication that something was different.

"How do you feel?"

Being quiet is just in her nature, believing her gestures would be enough to give the allusion to them. Just because Rinaotei thinks she is in a dream doesn't mean she's going to act uncharacteristically now, even the 'prank' of sorts is something that is so typical of her. Well, maybe a little uncharacteristic, she wouldn't be this preposterously trusting and sanction this being the serendipity of being a test subject for them if she was aware she was awake honestly.

Case in point though when she was asked once again if she was to take whatever it is this being wishes to utilize on her, she silently nods once again to show that she is ready. Rina nods a bit quicker this time to put emphasis on that she is affirmed on this, she is ready no uncertainty about it. She was feeling a little impatient with how they seem to be beating around the bush on this. Rinaotei was still standing still except leaning forward a little bit towards in an attempt to get closer to them a bit more. When they finally decide to commence with this Rinaotei stays thoroughly still and lets them do what they need to do.

Rinaotei couldn't help but wince somewhat when this being ostensibly injected something into her, but she tried her best in keeping still to let them proceed with whatever all this is. Many dyads of fangs digging into her leg, more specifically in her scar tearing some of the tissue fresh again as blood is drawn. Injecting whatever contents into her until they finally withdrew their fangs and took a step back.

How does she feel now? She isn't quite sure what she needs to verbalize to them, but... She does feel a little numb and strangely warm concurrently? That and she feels a small aching in her neck, she thinks that feels like may get worse if she ate food or something? Which is... Unfortunate, but she'll give that summary right now.

"I feel a little numb & warm." She can't help but think that perhaps those verbal expressions are too vague & rather useless to them really, but it's honestly the best she can think of.

"And a sudden loss of appetite." She thinks claiming about the aching may sound too confusing so perhaps loss of appetite is better? Besides, if this is an experiment she supposes symptoms of sorts are what they are after then.

Weird how she's feeling these things... Maybe she's about to wake up now?

Gabriel listened curiously, ears pricked to their words. "Oh?" Gabriel queried softly, pushing for more detail. The pup intended to stay by the wolf until the virus festering within them began to take effect, so that it could truly, and finally see its magic's full potential. "How does your wound feel? Where I introduced the magic?"

Gabriel was curious. Would it hurt? Would it be numb as the rest of her seemed to feel? Would it burn, if the rest of her felt warm?

Gabriel had to know. It sat, and watched intently. Their sudden loss of appetite was especially interesting. of all the things Gabriel had expected, loss of appetite hadn't been one of them. In a way, however, it understood; when the virus had been incubating, Gabriel had felt a sickness in its belly that had pushed it away from eating for quite some time. However, after biting this stranger, the pup felt... better. much better. The illness festering in its belly had lifted, the drool finally flowing less form its jaws. And it felt hungry, which, in the midst of the nausea, was simply out of the question.

"Anything else?" it asked eagerly. "As time goes on, do you feel any different?"

"I suppose that it feels a little numb around my face in particular... Especially around the muzzle." Rinaotei mumbled to them a little bit hoarsely... How peculiar that the tone of her usually soothing voice is beginning to sound a bit rough in addition to all of this... A sore throat or from her face feeling numb perhaps?

"The wound? Well... It definitely has a burning sensation on it while feeling numb simultaneously. Virtually like frostbite perhaps?" Albeit that may have to do more with how she was apparently exposed to the elements, or more specifically: Snow. Granted Rinaotei thought that due to her element, and well, the factor that this is a dream and all that she'd have an endurance to cold temperatures. After all, Rinaotei hangs out areas that are quite cold too, so she would think her body would be marginally more used to freezing temperatures by now. Still did they say Magic? Like Gembound Magick? The word 'magic' gets thrown around for an abundance of things that are strange: Power, supernatural, even medicine to some others actually, so maybe not.

The loss appetite may be due to a type of nausea in a way, a feeling some creatures may feel if they perhaps ingested an excessive quantity amount of sweet things. Eating too much of them, to the point that the sweet treats begin to taste sickly sweet to them, which'll put off the sweet lover from eating more sweet things. But in Rina's case it feels like that for all food in general, the only thing she wishes to have right now is some slight water, everything else feels like will make her sick.

"Well... My voice sounds different and peculiarly enough, is that even though these here lights are dim and all, they vigorously feel rather blindingly bright in these eyes right now, so much I think it's causing a headache." She drawled out rather tiredly, almost feeling like to leave this vicinity and go back to that ebony limbo again.

Gabriel found this more interesting by the second; making the dog even more eager to see this through until its magic had run its full course. "How interesting!" Gabriel said excitedly. By the moment it seemed that the virus was traveling, developing, its symptoms changing. And throughout it all, Gabriel was determined to keep her talking, keep her telling it everything she felt. Or, for as long as it could.

The wolf kept talking. Gabriel, too, noticed the change in its voice, causing the dog's ears to prick ever higher. sat back on its haunches, Gabriel listened intently. It seemed that the vicinity of their wound, as it had suspected, felt different. They compared it to frostbite, which Gabriel found quite curious; it had never heard of frostbite before. Burning, and yet numb. Two contrasting yet equally unpleasant feelings, associated with hot and cold respectively.

"I had noticed the change in your voice. How odd." Bright lights despite the dark, an illusion that Gabriel itself could hardly imagine. Headache. The symptoms were mounting and with it, Gabriel's understanding of its magic began to grow. The tiny creatures it had control over were the cause of this; plaguing other Gembounds with sickness and pain. "Go on?"

She was rather perplexed... They claimed that this would supposedly improve their kind, not quite sure how getting sick is supposed to help this dream being's kind. Maybe that's it? The factor that she believes that the fact that they are not particularly the same kind that it's causing different effects to her than it would to this here being's fellow species. Even so, their excitement at these symptoms are a bit peculiar. Still, she'll keep on speaking, she really needs to check and see if her voice truly is OK here.

The frostbite like symptom is getting worse for her, and because it has a burning sensation it also feels a bit itchy too at the central vicinity of the scar, which is causing an insistent tugging in her mind that makes her want to gnaw at it to ease the itching even though that will worsen it.

Oh... They can also hear the change in her voice then? Then there is definitely something wrong here, then, constantly clearing her voice in spite of the numbness around her face still making it a little hard to do that for herself till she managed to have some control and get rid of the imagined scratchy feeling in her throat. Dipping her head down a bit to relax it somewhat which may help ease the aching in her head, although she may need to be careful the way her head is drooping seeing from how fatigued she is now getting she may start to drop to sleep.

They want... More? Well...

"I am feeling... Rather tired and the scar is beginning to itch, which is giving me the urge to chew on it to stop it despite knowing that is a terrible idea" Please may she wake up once again soon?

Despite the flagrant details of their voice and the sudden change in their bodily language, it seemed like the wolf wasn't keen on giving much away. Either that, or its magic would take its time to properly work. In which case, Gabriel knew that it would have to be gone by the time the magic truly took effect. It was on a mission, after all, and it assumed that the other creatures would be well on their way to Canis. The puppy couldn't miss them; to do so could cost it a golden opportunity to learn about the properties of fallen gems.

Besides, perhaps the pup would learn more from returning; perhaps its test subject would be less stubborn if Gabriel left; or at least, appeared to. The puppy bowed its wispy head in the direction of the wolf. "My thanks," it began, voice steeped in gratitude. "Your word is very, very valuable to me... and I have full confidence that you will return from this stronger than ever before." It'd have to keep updated on that one. But no matter what, Gabriel was quite sure battling through anything could only reward one with valuable experience and moreover, knowledge on what to do next time.

Gabriel slowly rose up onto all four paws and began to walk away, its ears pricked back. Although, in truth Gabriel didn't intend to leave immediately. Perhaps the effects of this illness would be intensified by being alone. "I shall take my leave. Should you ever need a favour or have the will to drive our kind forward, come find me. I'll be waiting."

Gabriel turned back one last time, just before it would take the final step out in Orion, to make sure there was nothing else they needed before it left. It did not mention that Gabriel would also be seeking them, to retrieve the results of its little experiment. The puppy was very excited for that.

Rinaotei's description of her symptoms is admittedly rather too flimsy, if she was around a bona fide doctor, she wouldn't help much in diagnosing what type of illness she has. Whether that's due to the growing tiredness, just her in general quiet nature or if she genuinely is being obstinate is unknown. Then again, even if the symptoms appeared rather suddenly, right after they had bitten her to be more exact, and they are escalating quite a bit, Rinaotei just find that they aren't too alarming, what's the point of being alarmed after all? This is a dream, and being distressed will just make things worse on the symptoms anyways so.

Oh, that's all? Rinaotei was sure that there would be more than just that. Stronger than ever before? Do they mean like having a vigorous immune system after these symptoms evanesce in time? So then, was this whole thing like some vaccination of sorts? Well... Actually, that is certainly an intriguing way to utilize something like that she supposes. Quietly she gave a hum to them in response, which, thanks to the vicissitude in her voice made it sound a little rough around the edges.

The lupine was about to go follow them the moment they began to walk in another direction entirely, feeling that she still needed to go where ever they intended to go, to culminate this dream once and for all. But Rinaotei is feeling genuinely dizzy from all the symptoms she has that are steadily escalating, which made her body sway when she tried to coerce it by following them in their steps. With them eventually saying that they are leaving is when she conclusively ceased herself in coercing her body to move, her tail moving side to side as some endeavour in keeping her balance intact. She didn't hear the words they said afterwards, her head is hanging down as the wolf attempts to tune out anything else around here for a little bit. Numbing her senses in a way to perhaps to weaken this here headache of hers, which is now starting to become a migraine.

Hmm... Maybe the darkness was a good idea after all... Perhaps she should go back to it and possibly wait for all of these symptoms to pass? Well, right now her muscles are profoundly tense, and don't want to work with her decision to start walking again, so instead Rinaotei lies down on her belly to take a break. When her tense muscles start to relax is when she'll backtrack into Tunnel M, at least she knows where she needs to go to find the light again.

The pup blinked its large red eyes, the silence drifting from seconds on into minutes, yet no reply came. Intrigued, Gabriel watched as they lay down on the ground, presumably to wait out the internal storm. Gabriel bowed its head. How odd! Certainly the magic it carried was proving to be more useful than it could ever have imagined, and would certainly help in making others stronger. But it had to wait and see first. see if she recovered, or if the symptoms would get steadily worse.

Gabriel decided that it would come back to check on her after it had retrieved the stones it sought. "Farewell," Gabriel finally said to them, turning away one last time. Then it finally closed the gap between itself and Orion, leaving the wolf behind where it lay wrapped in its flimsy beliefs. The pup moved to rejoin the familiar path back to Canis, the room of bones and the place where it was born.

The puppy felt like this couldn't be all its powers had to offer; but it would just have to see. It needed more time, and many, many more subjects.

Once again the hum was the only response they got earlier, besides Rinaotei prefers not to properly speak while her voice is messed up right now. Not to add... Her muzzle feels the numbness out of all of her besides the reopened scar, virtually like it's dislocated without the extreme pain. Even though this is apparently going to make her stronger, her body just feels flimsy right now. So it was definitely a good thing she didn’t go through with the plan to continue to follow them, her legs while standing up were starting to feel like twigs which she never realized till she let herself lay down.

With their farewells verbally expressed to Rinaotei she bows her head politely in response, preferring not to use their own voice for a little bit. As she continues to lay there, waiting for her muscles to relax and when they do she'll return to the darkness and just lay there too, until the dream and the symptoms have conclusively run their course and hopefully then she'll wake once again.
