ORIGIN - Pretty little Faerie [hatching]

Faerie cooed at the smile she saw one her new friend's face, even though the sudden flash of light had scared her a bit. She hadn't done it on purpose, but just maybe it was possible. She picked up another small rock and thought about it glowing. She had the same weird feeling as before and suddenly it lit up and stayed lit. Surprised by her own new ability, she dropped the now glowing pebble and puffed up at it. She looked over at Cadence and excitedly flapped her wings.

"Spell?" She tipped her head to the side, questioning this new word. "Try again kiddo!" She cooed and picked up the little glowing rock. She rolled it around in her beak for a moment before tossing it away from herself into the dark. "try! trrrry!" She rolled the sound to draw it out and chased after the rolling ball of light.

The little bird before her seemed to take the initiative to try the spell again, whether by her prompting or not was to remain unknown but in either case the bird picked up another stone within the vicinity and set it aglow. "Great job, Red! Look at how pretty it is." She used one paw to gently nudge the glowing stone, honestly captivated by the gentle glow. "You can use that to help get around in the dark if ya want." Which didn't seem like a bad idea to her. Some gembounds couldn't see very well in the dark so a glowing stone was something that could help a lot.

"Ha ha! That's right! Try... Hey! Where ya goin'?" The bird seemed to be taking off after the ball of light, playing with it she assumed. Well, if she wanted something to chase... The big bear-lion attempted to tap into her meager magick reserves but found that there was nothing to tap. It had been so long since she'd done any magicka that perhaps it would take a while before she was able to use it again.

So, she was content to chase after the bird and stone, laughing all the while. "Keep at it! You'll get it!" She encouraged the little hatchling.

"Talking!"

"Pretty.." She said, looking at the rock as it glowed softly after catching up to it. "Look at pretty!" She called out, just before picking it up and tossing it across the room again. Chasing this little ball of solid light was definitely fun and doing it with someone else was even better.

It didn't take long for the young bird to catch up to her rolling piece of stone. Its uneven sides had slowed it down pretty fast once it stopped bouncing off the ground. Once she did catch up to it, Faerie picked up the little glowing thing and tossed it again, but toward Candence this time. With wings fully stretched out, she waited to see what her friend would do in response. "Where ya goin?" She repeated, flapping her wings. This particular phrase didn't yet have meaning, it was still just words to say.
