ORIGIN

Form seemed to have gone down with a spark leaving the entirety of it. Unknowingly, the pup seemed to tire himself out a lot quicker when roaming through Polaris as all that supplied energy faded and left only his body to supply itself. With that, perhaps the crystal-filled room was not the best stop for the young canine. Next thing he knew, self would be collapsing from exhaustion. So, he traveled down a passage he crossed while looking to exit the room; admiring the soft blue hue the air of this entrance held. As much as it intrigued him, he would escape deeper into the tunnel.

Paws pattered along the floor, speed gradually decreasing when the air began clearing up from the little lights that hung within it. He was not sure where this particular passage would lead him, but it could only lead him somewhere familiar or somewhere new. Either one was fine, however, the new always gave a slight fright when one knew of no one there. Maw gripped around the stones he retrieved, fighting off a yawn he felt coming along. Sighing, eyes caught something moving on the wall which caused him to slow his steps and turn over to it. Apparently, it was not any living thing but a bunch of markings. He got close to it and let nose touch it. He could perceive some words, but only was able to comprehend a small pool of them. The pup let out a huff, withdrawing his attention from the markings to immediately be met with a small mouse sniffing about. Why, that was the perfect size for him! Deciding to give catching a mouse a try, he crouched down and carefully put down his stones.

Holding still and waiting for the small creature to wander as close as possible to him, once at a distance he felt he could leap, Kyorai sprung over to the rodent but was off by a bit as he stepped onto its tail and not its body. It squeaked, however, he was quick to react as he snatched it up and forced jaws around it. He certainly felt bones crack and the like, causing him to shiver. After ensuring the mouse was lifeless with one more bite, he sauntered over to where shards were, dropping the body on top of them and seating self as he reevaluated everything. Licking his maw, he fell into his thoughts while nudging at lifeless prey.

This was going to be a waste if he did not find how to enjoy mouse without discuss. He pushed it off its perched and tried to somewhat eat the carcass, but every attempt led to it being shortly tossed. While messing around, sight saw some light in the distance issuing him to stop. Well, looks like he might have attracted somebody toward him. Could be good or bad, but it was probably bad for the gemling. Dropping what he was doing, he looked around to try and pick out a hiding spot, though it seemed he was a little slow in response to the stranger coming forth; freezing when he heard them greet. Although after processing such, his tension became nonexistent and body unfroze self while looking at the other. Soon a look of astonishment crossed his face from what dazzled up the stranger. He got up onto all fours with a barely bloody face; tail swaying.

"How do you have two?"

Kyorai simply asked, bringing head down to view the one under their paw. Bird friend held a single light, not that he did not believe one could bear two. Tiny paw found its way over to the stone, gently touching the feline's paw before quickly adjusting to their stone once realizing the mistake. He wondered if they got theirs lit up by the same gembound other had mentioned. Bringing himself out of the bow he unknowingly put self in, he gazed into the stranger's eyes. "Who did it for you? I hadn't found anyone that could do it yet!" he explained, expression appeared sadden but that was only to show displeasure for how long its been since he known this.

The canine wandered over back to where his little mineral pile and snack was which was just a leg length away, sitting down in partially facing the other. "That's a fancy thing on ya! It's like that hang thingy but fully on your neck," he hummed, nudging the air in intrigue.

He listened to the answer to his question, humming when they stated the one in which did this for them. Kyorai was not entirely sure what a coyote looked like but he could play his guesses. Knowing the one behind the glowing items of the creature before him, he wondered if he could track them down, however, that would require a scent and at least how they appeared. Sigh escaped his maw as it seem search would not be over as of yet, though before he could go with that thought the canine heard what else was said; skipping back a bit on something he could not understand. "Fortune?" he questioned, wanting to know what exactly that was.

Quest? It was not a foreign word to him but he had no idea how such a thing would be brought up. Perhaps one just felt like going about it or maybe something just a little more than that? Angled head and probing paw, he pondered over the matter. Although he had not needed to dig deep within his mind after hearing the last statement from stranger. Myself. Myself. Form scooted close to the feline along with dragging his items with. Eyes were narrowed but not out of a bad sense, just in the line of inquiring. "You can make stones glow? T-think you could help me out? I've been looking for a bit now!" he explained, pawing at the air. If needed, the pup was willing to pull off tricks or anything of the matter to get the stranger's assistance.

Brow rose as they gave the meaning to "fortune". A way to tell the future; was that even possible? Of course, Kyorai was skeptical about the entire thing, unsure whether to believe that that was what a fortune was. Though why it bothered him when he never thought about his future was beyond reasoning of self. The thought and idea seemed interesting nonetheless.

Without a fair warning, the spitz hopped up and did a spin with it ending in a bow. Someone that could make his birth stones glow! Bright eyes looked at the feline with a smile, rump wiggling around while thinking. Although wagging died down a bit when told that their attempt at doing it could be faulty at first. Well, he did not no anyone else that could do this nor where any other lie so, he would take what he could get no matter the problem. "That's okay! As long as it works, yeh," he stated and nudged the two shards he had next to him. Removing the mouse carcass on top of it, he hummed before nudging the air to offer the little snack to the feline. Mind figured it should exchange something for offering to do this for the puppy, even if it was not as much as lighting up stones.

Kyorai was not sure what to do with his offering until the feline would take it for self so, he scratched the dirt to create a small pocket to rest the dead rodent in. He watched in piqued curiosity at how they would energize chrysalis shard to spark its own light. Though before anything was done, one at a time was told to him to which he nodded his head. Perhaps it would be taxing to do both in one go rather than one; putting aside his thought to utter the question "why" for their decision.

Noting a slight change in the air, he peered over to realize that the other was focusing—pulling head and ears back in great wonder. Although he could not help drawing nose close to the feline's when they got close to shard, maw parting at how quickly things began to illuminate. Amazed by the act, he licked company on the head and grabbed the baubled shard. He waved it around as if it were a wand or sword, tail patting the ground behind it. "Thus us greta! Yu ara greta!" he spoke with muffled words, getting a kick out of his new light.

Done with his unexpected nonsense, he tucked the shard under him as he sat back down; covering majority of the light coming from it. Wondering, he gazed at the other in wait but with inquiry. "Would you know of something I can use without having lights in mouth?" he asked, gradually seeing that carrying them around by maw was not the most convenient way.
