With adrenaline pumping Xireidi barely flinched as part of the the wall gave way and a surge of energy knocked the feral creature unconscious. All that mattered right now was completing the objective and repaying the debt of light. This odd occurrence would be a mystery for another time.
The large wolf looked around, not seeing his partner for this trip but hearing a multitude approach. The attack, no doubt, had attracted company, a few of which were starting to become visible in the distance.
Another mystery, but this one possibly more pertinent to the mission than the last. In addition to the unconscious batcat on the ground there were now multiple others beginning to surround the area. A frown began to from on Xireidi's face as realization began to come to him. How could he be sure he'd gotten the right one? Perhaps the fae of light just needed a member of the species for something?
Worries and questions flooded the wolf's mind, but he wouldn't let those stop him from completing the task. In a swift motion he moved toward the unconscious entity and swept it up in his jaws by the scruff of its neck, moving with haste away from the energy toward a path that sounded like it might not have become blocked off yet. He'd make the delivery yet!
