Nkosana had nary a worry in the world nor doubt in his mind this day was going to be FANTASTIC. His voice sang through Polaris like dew on fresh blades of grass. His voice filled with honey, his mind, sharp as a knife, plan after plan more devious than the last raced through that cruel mind, every gem he met, he had a plan. a way to bend them, break them, force them to their knees. They think he's just like other small gems, tiny, helpless, nothing. He;s cute yes, but he's the deadliest thing in the caves. He doesn't fight with physicality, but with emotions. (But I mean, if he did fight with physicality he'd be excellent) "HA! Come fight me cowards!" he yelled into the seemingly empty space with mirth.
Astaroth was sitting on the opposite side from the creature as he glared up at the massive monolith, he heard Kosa's steps long before he spoke, he had made his presence quite obvious. His sarcastic tone made Ast snort. He thinks he's all high and mighty? I'll show him. He sauntered around to look him dead in the eyes. Growling slightly. "A better greeting would be 'Hello, I'm dot dot dot, is anyone there? Instead of 'come fight me' You may get just what you wished." He focused, for a second, trying to summon darkness all through the air around him, his eyes glowing bright violet. chuckled as he saw the shadows gather around him, rippling black tendrils all around him as he stared at the fox in front of him.
"Speaking."

Kosa balked as he looked up to the larger gem in front of him. This is bad, this is very bad. He thought. It seemed to him that his natural proclivity to speak his thoughts out loud when he thought himself alone had caught up to him. Though, being the WORST possible reaction one could make in the situation. He stood up and looked the other gem in the eyes. "Yes, I said I want to fight" Then the wolf, he.. disappeared into darkness, a mass of shadow with two glowing eyes and a dripping maw looked into him and he screeched, tucking tail as he ran and watched behind him. He made it just around the spire, running past it as fast as his legs could carry him, hoping the other gem wouldn't follow.
Astaroth growled loudly "Oh really? Well a fight's what you're gonna get." He barked and dashed after the small fox. He was able to catch up with the vulpine but missed as he dashed to grab him, falling past him and scrambling to get to his feet in front of the running fox.

The fox yelped in terror as he felt the hot breath of the wolf brush against his back, but when the wolf scrambled in front of him he thought he saw an opening, aiming at the stomach of the canid he lunged forward, hoping to rend through that soft tissue but instead felt himself stumbling as he came at him, falling right next to the massive wolf.
Astaroth chuckled as he saw the fox lunge at him and fall just short of him, he got to his feet quickly and started circling the small creature, shadows trailing around and behind him, engulfing the small creature before he lunged forward at it, aiming for the back of the neck.

Kosa screeched as he felt sharp teeth clamping around his neck, digging into his flesh that was.. ripping.. ripping as he was tossed back and forth like a toy, his limbs being thrashed against the ground as he felt blood start to stain through his fur. A fang ripping through his throat, almost impaling his windpipe before ripping the flesh away from it. His screams died out as his vocal cords were ripped until the were unusable.
Astaroth continued shaking the poor fox until he was satisfied that he wouldn't be getting back up. When he looked down he realized.. he had gotten more than a little carried away. The fox looked pitiful, the gaping holes in his neck where the fangs were.. they were horrible to look at even for Astaroth. Seeing what he had done made his stomach churn, yet gave him a rush of pure adrenaline. He backed away in both horror and concern for himself, yet was still impressed with himself for having done so much damage, even if the fox was just a little thing, this was his first true kill. The first greater gembound he had killed. He smirked. "You said you wanted to fight." He laughed loudly then as he turned, running out through the nearest tunnel.
"Speaking."

notes: ---Exit Astaroth---
As he lay on the ground, Kosa rasped, his breathing weak, his eyes blurring from the blood and tears running into them. Why, why did this have to happen to him??? Why did he have to go out like this??? He was barely able to let out a sob of pain and misery as the blood from his wounds pooled around him.
A shadow had been watching everything that had transpired, down to the fox being tossed to the ground like a rag doll. He watched in horror as the wolf almost ripped the fox's throat out. When the black creature had gone, he flew down to the tiny fox. He could hear the rasping breathing of the little creature.. he was so small, his past words showed he was by no means innocent.. but he was no bigger than the little falcon.. and.. he was dying.. but slowly.. but Grim knew he could do nothing.. he was too far gone. He laid a razor sharp talon to the inside of Kosa's throat and looked him in the eyes, hoping he could see through the haze of blood.
