Since his departure of Pisces, Othello walked with a jaunty pace towards Orion with the recently aquired stone fragment in his jaws. His eyes frantic and gleaming with excitement, he simply couldn't wait to get back to Monoceros, so he settled for laying the stone in Orion, his second most favorite place. Othello didn't mind hanging around the cave until the crystal grew large enough to hatch into whatever strange hybrid would form inside - perhaps he'd even make this place his new home.

He entered the room of stars at a pace that wasn't a run, but not quite a walk either. Panting around the stone, he stopped and looked around for a good place to hide it so others wouldn't stalk it while he was away, if others did that anyway. Finally, they settled on the Throne, and he made his way over a little slower than he entered, but still quicker than a regular walk.

Closing in on the Throne, he walked behind the large seat and sat the piece of gemstone down and looked hard at it for a long moment, at how the gouge in it fractured its face. He tilted his head, praying it had no effect on it or what it creates. Having not done this before, Othello takes in a deep breath and focuses his energy on the stone before him, hoping to pour some of his own life into it.
A wave of magick rushed through and out of him it seemed and into the stone at his paws. Othello sighed a great deal of relief when it worked and opened his eyes to look at the stone, to see if it had changed any. The stone had a soft glow and seemed to be settling into the ground, taking root. A small smile escaped onto Othellos face - almost never had the mutant been so happy.

He was almost as eager as he walked in when he curled around the small stone, just as ready to take a nap now that he'd put life into it as he was excited when he'd been first given it. He knew the hybrid inside would take some time to grow, but a little nap now would only make some of the time go by faster. Besides, using that magick only made him sleepier, not to mention the exertion getting from Pisces to Orion at the jaunty pace he was moving.
