The beast had come this far, although he wasn't entirely sure where this was. Only that there was dark here, like there had been in Cetus. Not as much water though. It wasn't a swampland, so he had no desire to hide out in the tallest of the trees. Everything was so alive here! As the creature paced along, using a terrestrial mode of transportation versus the swinging of his lithe body from tree to tree, he could study the ground and all that grew. There were many ferns - and so much moss that the ground was plush and pleasant on his feet - and the beast wondered what sort of creatures lived here. Would this be a safe place for him? Would he be accosted by strangers again, or could he live out his days without having to defend himself?
More importantly, would he find anything beautiful here? Teyouma might have been a monster, and he might have had a taste for blood, but there was always a cost - a reason for his aggression. Before, with the white deer, he had merely wanted a good look at the gem. Perhaps more than that, he wanted to keep that gem as his own. Just thinking of the intricate design of that snowflake made him grin malevolently, but in knowing that he had failed, his grin became a grimace.
Unable to help himself (and fueled by a sudden flash of rage) Teyouma was racing through Eridanus and grabbing at the life he found - tearing it up by the roots and screeching nonsense in the darkness. The lack of light did not bother him; the dark was where he was born, where he thrived. He did not need to see what lay before him in order to destroy it.
