So we've seen quite a few different dialects pop up in the caves.

Officially, there are;
- Common Speech (plain 'english' amongst the greater gembound)
- Sea Speech (clicky, squealy language of the aquatic gembound)
- Lesser Speech (regular animal vocalizations)

We have a thread for Sea Speech, and Lesser Speech doesn't need much explanation. So here's a thread dedicated to Common Speech, or more specifically, the vernacular used exclusively by gembound in Origin Cave.

  • ooo, i can def help with making up some neat gembound lingo :0
    I've picked up a habit with my characters (through Navi i think? Or maybe you Alm!) of referring to newborn gembounds as gemlings! That's a thing now I guess? I dunno.
    Oh yeah,
    I’ve recently realized that I’ve been using ‘Stonegiver’ and ‘Lifegiver’ instead of mother and father for characters that use pronouns other than he/she, so that seems like it’d make sense!
