He thought things were going to get better once he put the leaves on his ear. Things had been muffled for a while and he had graciously been able to walk through the rest of the tunnel without loud noises piercing his skull. However, the small tear in his ear drum had begun to heal and the ringing had gotten louder. And as he passed the waterfall of Pisces, the sound began to return and the pounding of the waterfall pieced his ear.
He wasn't happy. Not at all. His head was spinning and he was unbalanced and he was starting to feel a little sick. He had eyed the greening wall as soon as he had gotten into the cave and that was his destination. There would surely be friends over there. And if there wasn't he would make some. Yes, he could make friends wherever he wanted.
He finally managed to stagger onto the soft, springy grass. There wasn't much and he was mildly disappointed by the lack of fluffy leaves. But his head was pounding so bad that he couldn't muster the strength to walk and look around anymore. He flopped to the ground as magic pooled in his legs and stomach. As he hit the earth, plants began to spring out from every inch of earth around him; big, lushious young plants that covered and warmed him. He raised his head and thrust his face into one of the nearby leaves to muffle as much sound as possible. It worked a little bit, but it was enough for him to be content for now. He sighed and let his mind wander as he rested his poor aching head.
"Speech looks like this."
Thoughts look like this.
