Fate had wondered to herself if the longer she spent away, the greater the probability of something... 'interesting'... taking place here. She didn't know what it was she'd been hoping for, really. a rebellion? Something monstrous emerging from beneath the bones? The maned wolf raised her muzzle skyward and sniffed the air, and was pleasantly surprised when a cocktail of scents tickled her nose, most of them fairly fresh. She kept sniffing, trying to determine how many had been here- living here, even- but found it impossible. there were too many, and although they were fairly fresh, she doubted that any of them remained in the area now.
Perhaps there was something going on after all, the fortune-teller mused, lowering her head as though in the hope of better concealing her lanky form. Her ears were pricked and listening for a sound- any sound, as she pressed deeper into the Room of Bones, finally stopping only to lap at chilled water from a shallow pool, dropping the dice she carried beside the pool with a small clacking sound.
When she raised her dripping muzzle and caught a glimpse of the number on their surface, the maned wolf paused and tilted her head.
2-2? ...How quaint.
But she quickly took the worn string in her jaws again and rose, her gaze turning towards the distant bone towers.
