'cause i'm the big bad wolf
now let the games begin

Dezba's chest filled with pride as King Alnitak praised her loyalty. She stood tall, her eyes gleaming with determination. This was a chance to prove herself. "I will succeed, no matter the cost!" She declared.

Dezba caught the alligator's hateful glare as he turned to leave. She narrowed her eyes but smug grin crossed her face. On longer legs she could hunt for the stag faster than that awkward reptile could drag himself to the water. This amused her, but there were also the other pledged she had to be aware of.

The god-birds suggested Pieces, the room of many waterfalls, and to seek out the one they called Tenzin. That sounded easy enough. She dipped her head to the celestial avian once more and bounded off in the direction Tunnel M.

This Tenzin must have some answers.

Xireidi nodded as the creature of three explained their situation and goal in a bit more detail. It certainly sounded like a noble one, to let life prosper, perhaps act as a counter balance to... no he'd already declared that to be a folly. Still, if creatures such as this existed and were benign his child self might not have been too far off. Their disagreement showed them to be creatures closer to the other greater gembound though, no matter what their power. He would work to preserve light and life, whether it had an opposing force or not.

Such as the fairy...

Luckily the wolf's troubled thoughts about untouchable opponents was interrupted as the great creature gave further instructions. Seek out Tenzin in Pisces. It was straight-forward, much more so than the info he had to go on for his other missing creature, and while not a direct indication at least it sounded like this other blue bird had an actual tracking ability.

While a few others rushed off in the direction of the room of waterfalls Xireidi tarried behind for just a few moments looking over the various members of the group. This place really did look to be more than it seemed, and the mysteries of its existence no longer felt impossible to ever discern.

"I will not let you down." he declared as he turned and followed behind the forward group. He'd take a few side tracks on the way- check a few corners for his other target- but hopefully he'd get to the room in time to help with the search.

In her ten cycles of life, Felina had visited very few parts of The Cave. This time she was visiting Orion. The first thing that struck her was its beauty. It was shimmering so prettily!

The runty female bobcat sniffed around. There were a number of different Gembound scents, especially in and near the middle. They were only a few minutes old. She wondered if there are any that might still be present.

Then she saw it...the biggest, bluest bird she'd ever seen! It had a regal look about it. It had very colorful eyes.

She approached it with temerity. Was it friend or foe? She stopped when she was three yards away from the great avian.

Timidly, she spoke to it: "Um...h...hello. M-my name's F-Felina. Please f-forgive me, but I've never seen you b-before. D-do you have a n-name?"

As others dispersed, the Kings bowed to each, Mintaka being the sort to be respectful enough to do so but did not need words to send them off.

It was then a bobcat approached, and while Alnitak had some choice words within Mintaka's mind, the neutral brother pushed its more bully-prone brother aside and smiled down toward the feline. "Hello Felina," Mintaka greeted. "We are the Three Kings of Orion," they introduced themselves, though now they were only one being, so Mintaka gestured with a wing to his side as if someone were standing beside him. "My name is Mintaka, and my brothers are Alnilam and Alnitak. You just missed them, however; we can be three separate beings, or fuse together as one." As he explained this, he did his best to point with their wing to the three stones orbiting each other within their chest.

"My stone is the ice-blue colored stone, Alnilam's is the golden one, and Alnitak's is the red one." He returned the wing to their back, and crouched so they may be lower, resting their head gently on the ground. Their large eye could engulf the tiny bobcat, but with Mintaka at the Kings' helm, nothing so terrible would happen.

"Together, we are just 'the Kings,' and when we fuse, only one of us becomes the lead personality. The gembounds just helped us decide who that would be, and they chose Mintaka, who is mostly a neutral being. Alnilam is quite friendly. Alnitak is... ambitious, maybe unfriendly." "Hey!" "I think it's better to say he will do anything to achieve his goals," Mintaka corrected, leaving that quite vague.

@Felina
Septiezal heard the kings out. He did not know of this Tenzin, but they said the ice-phoenix may be able to help.

Ah.. sending us to do you're dirty work for you, are we?

He decided that he would play along, at least for now. He had gotten his wings, might as well see what they would become.

The serpent inched his body through the crowd, and followed the departing gembounds into the tunnel.

-Exit Septiezal-
