ORIGIN

Rinaotei is cognizant she has more pressing matters to do as of right now, such as finding the authentic batcat but she has taken the time out to endeavour and look for some blue or white stones for one of the sage looking, peculiar, avian beings that appeared here in Orion. Why they commenced getting into an excruciating dispute the instant they came to life was puzzling to Rinaotei, or even what it was, but perhaps assisting them in this shall help resolve their quarrel and stop the nugatory fighting. With that she opted to search for the blue or white stones as the one called Mintaka seemed instead rational in comparison to its siblings, being the one that was not precisely fighting amongst the others. If anything, Mintaka was endeavouring to make their brothers calm the fighting amongst each other and managed to propose a remotely placid, didactic solution to this debate of theirs. Rinaotei found herself feeling deference for Mintaka, especially how they seemed disapproving to the idea of bringing bystander Gembound into this fight. Reasonable, calm and appears to diplomatic, that is estimable and is qualities to search for in a king as they all claim to be. And so Rinaotei opted to pledge her allegiance to Mintaka of sorts or more or less decided to show her respect to them by presenting the coloured stones that depict Mintaka the most.

And so here she was in Orion for her search, for there were a plethora of effulgent, white crystals here and she believes she may have come across some blue stones in Orion before, and while this may be slacking Rinaotei will see if she can find batcat in the meantime. Maybe having more objectives in her search will motivate Rinaotei more and give her more ideas as to where she could look, for all she knows while looking at the obscure places in Orion she may come across batcat instead, so two birds for one stone right? Rinaotei admittedly couldn't avail but chuckle heartily to herself at that unintentional pun that transpired in her thoughts there.

And so, she investigates, sailing in the air leisurely with her membrane wings, even if the lights are out Orion has enough lighting from all these crystals to be able to make out different colours. Albeit that thought made Rinaotei look down in shame for that was how she sanctioned herself to get deceived so well the last time the caves got submerged in tenebrosity. Whoever it was that offered to guide her to Orion in exchange for something is something Rina wishes didn't transpire to her, even if the biggest reason why she got illuded so well was that the lupine was under the delusion being in a dream. During Rinaotei's deep thoughts of berating herself for letting her guard down so well from that incident, she almost missed the blue stone on the ground that she remotely managed to catch in her peripherals. With descrying the minuscule, blue shine, Rinaotei carefully weaved to a drop from the air and landed by her discovery which was light blue, like it was a dewdrop similar to her Gem. This stone does seem like a coloured stone instead of a Gem though; the beings did verbalise that whether it was a Gem or stone it didn't matter as long as it was any rock with their colour it was satisfactory. And so Rinaotei carefully picked it up with the ivory fingers on one of her wings and then utilised her draconian tail to snake around her find; safely tucked. With that done she'll now proceed back to where the three kings are and offer this to Mintaka.

The lupine wasn't the only one trying to search for some rocks, Albeon himself is also trying to hunt for batcat, but he is taking a break for a bit and practice a new Spell of his. For from the sounds of it batcat sounds like an aggressive guy, so he better be well prepared for a fight. Maybe the so-called, not real batcats might just be the hostile ones but since the search group doesn't have anything to go by except that the real one might be a Greater Gembound instead of a Lesser Gembound. And so, the likeliness the search party is going to come across a lot of the supposed fakes ones means fights are going to be pretty likely.

And so, he chooses to take a break to practice a new Spell, while pure Magick power was undoubtedly his speciality his small size not to add weight means his defence needs room for improvement. His physical strength needs working on as well, and while he has a Spell such as Transfer to ramp up his physical moves the best thing to use while using that is his Gem which risks breaking it, which will most likely be fatal, so he needs a way to reinforce his Gem. And so here he is trying out this practice on this new Spell, he's not going to cast it around his Gem right away as he does not like the idea of a half-assed job being done and making his Gem look awful and be almost unable to get rid of it. He's instead going to practice on the landscape instead, and while he hates wasting his Spells like this which is why he doesn't practice too often now, need to save the Magick to avoid exhaustion however he does have another motive to this.

With the introduction to the new trio that are birds like him even if they look so unusual like they are some force of Magick given sentient physical forms, then again Albeon ponders the same considered about all Gembound who have Gems like him. He doesn't know what's going on with them, but, he doesn't understand why he's helping out on this; maybe it's that he's encountered ones who claimed to rule Orion before and they were unpleasant? While he can't decide on which one he chooses to search stones for he'd rather not have the one called Alnitak win this fight of theirs by having them granted the most gems, there's something about them that bothers Albeon. Did they remind him of one of those unpleasant ones, or are they just like Albeon's younger self? Either way, his attitude rubbed Albeon the wrong way, and so he'll try to find some Gems to help one of the other two wins this, he may go for Alnilam. But if any Gembound wants a stone for say Mintaka then he'll help summon a blue or white Gem then, as long as it's not Alnitak they want a rock for Albeon will help out a little.

With all that he focuses, looking at his scarf that he slung around to the front of him, its golden colour will make it easier for him to visualise a golden Gem.

It only took a few seconds, and Albeon's Magick prowess already felt it's getting drained when casting the Spell which made him almost retake a break but a Gem did come dig out from the ground like it was some geyser. It wasn't big, and while it was gold it didn't sheen like one, so much Albeon thought he was just looking at some gold glass but it was a Gem, so he takes it to give a tribute, and to his surprise, he saw Rinaotei on the way back. What is she doing? Stone searching too or looking for the batcat?

"Stone searching or batcats searching there Rinaotei?" he asked with a slightly teasing tone, being an acquaintance, he actually likes.

Gradually ambulating back instead of flying in case Rina drops the blue stone while examining the ground infrequently to see if she can find another gem to offer to Mintaka as a tribute. Rinaotei additionally keeps her head up at times and looks behind herself to be on guard in case someone goes to attack or endeavours to glom the blue stone from her. Rinaotei was currently looking straight forward she didn't notice that there was a white quartz on the ground that was tipping a little over the edge of the building Rina was ambulating on top. While she was looking behind she saw at the last second of the said white Gem and expeditiously turned and pounced to prehend it with one of her claws before it fell. The draconian-lupine caught it, but from how hasty Rinaotei was in endeavouring to get it the lupine accidentally scratched it with her talons, but Rina has it nonetheless. Letting out a sigh of relief at that close call, initially not hearing the old acquaintance from above her till she looked up with her ears perked and heard him talk.

"Hello, Albeon. Both perhaps, but I am more prospering at my search for stones currently," Nebulous there, but Rina has yet to find any batcat, for that matter, has yet even to find any of the usual types of bat nevermind one supposedly mixed with a feline. "May I ask how things are with you, Albeon?"

"Speech"

As always she has that level of politeness, but it didn't bother Albeon too much, it didn't seem like an uptight, stuck up politeness to him except the first time he saw her which he gave her an attitude. Weird, he can remember that but not any of the bad memories, although that might be why the interactions with her aren't terrible memories, so maybe that's why they have stayed in his mind when his memories have been vanishing a lot. Not that it's a bad thing that they are, he gets the sensation that the ones he has forgotten are sad, maybe even traumatic and be better if he didn't have them remembered. Well except for one, he has no right to ignore one in particular for that one was his fault and responsibility which has no one else to blame.

"Could be better, you know having lights be nice and all," already with the sarcasm huh Albeon? "But, since Orion has some light I'm fine with some stone searching for now." somewhat accurate, even though he's more creating the stones he finds, still Albeon doesn't know whether he'd be able to create them as quickly without any lights at all. He was about to show how well he is doing with attempting to create another but this time it just didn't want to come forth, so the raven pretends like he didn't fail a Spell and swoops down to the level the canine is. The said golden Gem he did succeed in summoning earlier tucked in his scarf where it's tied with many layers around his neck so he could fly even with it.

"So which of the trio do you plan to help win the dispute?" A bit prying there, but there's something he needs to know just in case he decides he wants to help her, "Not Alnitak... Is it?" he might as well ask straight up if that's who she's going to help. As to whether or not she is supporting that one will be the thing that matters if it'll be a good idea to help her or not.

She hums in response, yes it would be hospitable for the lights to be back on again especially for Rina, she may be cognizant she's awake still some aspects of her life may get arduous without the lights. Oh, so he was too in the search for stones? Hm, she notices that Albeon looked like he was about to prepare for something until ostensibly giving up on what it was as she doesn't see anything which makes her cock her head in inquiry. Seems like he doesn't wish to admit of failing something though as he lands on the building, she was on noticing something sticking out from that peculiar scarf of his that looked to be the tantamount colour as the fabric. Golden stone? Which means he's chosen the one known as Alnilam then, intriguing choice there, Alnilam seemed alright albeit concerning them all she prefers Mintaka.

When asked who she has opted to pledge allegiance with, initially she was reluctant to answer considering how personal that is. But concurrently, she secretly knows who Albeon has chosen so perhaps he has the right to know now, she was about to answer but paused for a second hesitantly till he asked if she's looking for red and ebony stones for the other one named Alnitak. Is that why he asked? If so then Rinaotei had to think longer about whether she should answer. Still, she is a little more comfortable with answering as Rinaotei suspected that Albeon is merely worried if it's Alnitak she's assisting.

Rinaotei considered afore deciding the second question was acceptable enough for her to answer. Giving a shaking of her head and ears to them.

"No, no. I am merely searching stones for the one called Mintaka." She leaves it at that, the one called Alnitak indeed does seem as the one called Alnilam described them as; foolish since they did appear to be inciting the fighting out of all of them, so not felicitous for a leader in Rinaotei's. To prove her choice, she tries to see if she can find another stone, but none caught her eye this time, so she just opted to show them her current finds.

"Speech"

The reluctance made him wary; she was, wasn't she? The thought made his guts clench if she was he'll try not to show open hostility she may have her reasons after all. It's just she didn't appear the type to side with a leader like that, then again can't assume all the time even so if she is then it'll be a good thing the Spell failed the first time around. It would've been awkward as hell to show that off and potentially offer one to her if she is siding with the one Albeon doesn't want to win whatever dispute the trio is having as he feels things may be harmful results if Alnitak wins it. When she shook her head to silently say no it wasn't Alnitak he felt his insides untighten from that oh geez getting worried over nothing.

Seeing a couple of coloured stones in her possession that does match what the icy-eyed one of the trio wanted to prove she wasn't lying as well was all he needed now. Well then, in that case, nothing will hurt in gifting her one then, even if he chose to find gold he's not desperate for his choice to win.

Tapping into his Magick again in hopes of a success this time as he looked down on the ground that'll get used as a checkpoint for where the stone's summoning to take place. Soon, like dewdrop just fell into a puddle of water a tiny rippling pool of light started to form on the ground, then a blue quartz poked out from the ground as it grew and wrought like a small glacier emerging. Carefully he pulls it out to give it to Rina as an offering with a nod.

Seeing the utilisation of Magick from Albeon made all Rinaotei's senses alert, what is this? Is the one she's offering stones to considered a folly decision for Albeon enough to instigate them to utilise Magick on her? She keeps an eye out as to what will come about this Spell the corvid is utilising opting not to do anything till she is confident that their Spell is an act of aggression scanning her surroundings and Albeon to see what will come about of this. But then she examined an eyeful on the ground as something rose from the ground all caught in her vision - a quartz. A blue quartz, which was puzzling to her especially when he gestured with a nod as if to verbally express it's for Rina, why would he make and give a Gem for a king that he ostensibly isn't going to offer stones? She supposes her answers were agreeable instead then so with the tip of her wing she pushes this gift towards herself folding that said wing with the Gem still in the wing's grip and conscientiously puts it on her back, same for the other scratched quartz that's in her claws hold additionally.

Quietly she looks around till to her surprise that she never came across afore was this rather sizeable golden Gem on the wall of the side of the building she was remotely concerned Albeon could even be able to carry this. Still, she meticulously goes over to swipe her claws at the said wall like she was endeavouring to sharpen or file them to make the debris chip away and relinquish the golden Gem it contained. With time the chips of grey rock broke away enough for the flawless, shiny golden crystal to fall and clatter on the ground not a single bit of damage to it even from the fall.

She did think this way of being thankful for an exchange was a little sloppy, Albeon engendered a Gem for her while she just ambulated over to a golden crystal that Albeon could've gotten themselves. Still, she pushes it over to him with her muzzle.

"My thanks, Albeon, you may keep this. Perhaps we may understand each other marginally better now which is rarely if ever really a terrible thing." She decides now perhaps now will be the time to go, a social interaction can be excellent, but at the same it makes Rinaotei feel a little tired out additionally.

"Farewell for now." She's vigilant they're most likely going to encounter again even if it had been a while since they both wish to find batcat it probably won't be too long till they see each other soon.
