Dezba heard the bird's announcement on high. The reward of wings they offered peaked her interest, but to pledge allegiance to her choosen king... Perhaps her longing for a place in life would finally be sated, perhaps she would find a friend. The birds were like no other she had seen, or at least that what she thought they looked like. Their flowing, nebulous bodies reminded her of the crystal ceiling in Orion. The brothers had something great to offer, but Alnitak, the red-eyed one, resinated with her.

Chaos.

That was her calling, and if the king of chaos wanted red Stones, then red stones he shall receive.

Dezba started her search in Canis. This room was home to many skeletons, some with their gems still intact. There were bound to be many red ones here. Dezba spent her time sifting through the bones, until a red glint caught her eye. There, underneath her paws, was a large, vibrant red gem. Dezba gasped. She could not believe her luck.

She wrapped her jaws around the treasure and carried over to a thin bed of bones. Dezba looked around at the mounds around her and wondered if there were more out there, like this one.

Dezba raked the bones back with her paws and lo and behold, there was another red gem. It was attached to the cranium of a broken skull. Dezba pinched the embed stone with her teeth and gave it a tug, cracking the bone around it. It came out with some effort, now Dezba had two.

She placed it with the other.

Dezba continued to dig into the mound, making quite a racket. Pushing the skeletal remains to the side, she grinned with pleasure as she uncovered a third red gem. This one was darker than others, like a drop of blood, and very beautiful. Dezba felt a pang of envy for whoever had this crystal in life.

She picked it up and made her way back to the other stones, placing it gently in her collection. At this rate, Alnitak would be most pleased with her findings.

The young she-wolf clambered across the sea of remains, almost loosing her footing a few times. She looked back her findings, no one had decided to steal one yet. Dezba knew she would tear into any thieves who dare touch them. She did not want to travel far, so she picked out the tallest mound in her vicinity and began to dig.

Bones poured on her black fur. They felt like rocks hitting her skin. She pulled her head out and growled in annoyance at the mound before she decided to climb up to the top. There, she spotted something red. It wasn't like the gems she found before, no, she smelled a type of berry paint on it. It was a part of a trinket of some sort, like jewelry, as it and many other colored stones were strung through it. A red stone was a red stone, so Dezba tore it from the trinket, breaking the thread and sending the other pebbles flying. Then, she returned to her treasures and filled her mouth with them.

She looked quite ridiculous with her mouth stuffed with red rocks. Drool seeped from her lips as she made her way towards the tunnel. Then, as if by luck, another glint of red caught her eye. Dezba halted. It was another loose gem. She eyed it greedily.

A fifth! Alnitak will be pleased.

Now. If only she could carry it. Dezba set the other stones on the ground and plucked the new one from the dirt. It was tricky to wrap her jaws around all five, but today was her lucky day, and she managed. Her jaws ached terribly but that did not matter. Those wings would be hers!

Tail wagging with excitement, she carefully, but quickly rushed her way to Orion.
