'cause i'm the big bad wolf
now let the games begin
From a ledge up above, Dezba watched from the shadows. The fact that she missed most of the conversation made her blood boil. Silently, she cursed herself for getting lost Pisces. No wonder she could not pick up on the phoenix's scent, he was underwater. At least she finally found him, though she could have done so in a more timely fashion.
She peered at the gathering below her as she leaned in, pressing her ears forward to catch Tenzin's words.
"Where can we find Astraea?" asked a light colored she-wolf. She looked to be around Dezba's age.
Astraea... that must be the stag's name.
She watched intensely as the Tenzin supposedly reached out to the stag, stretching her neck out with anticipation. Dezba almost forgot she was leaning over a ledge, and how dangerously close she came to tipping off. She gasped and shuffled back, dislodging a few small pebbles.
It took Tenzin awhile, but eventually, he gave his answer. Astraea was in Eridanus. Dezba perked up when she heard this. Then the alligator announced to the group that they were going to Eridanus. Dezba curled her lips at his voice. Then the she-wolf cut back in with a thank you. "Please don't die."
He's dying? Thought Dezba. Huh...
It was off to Eridanus then. She retreated into the shadows, her destination set clearly before her.

From the giant bird's uncomfortable silence, Envy guessed they'd made their point, and puffed out their chest for a short time... only to jerk back, bristling and hissing, as the large lizard nearby began to crackle with flame. Envy coiled and thrashed, dancing on their paws, small body spraying droplets, knowing that they had to get some of that fire for themselves. They hissed and spat back at the brutish creature before turning their attention back to the bird, retreating away to a safer distance from the fire-spitting alligator.
It was then that the little one finally turned back to the bird, having missed most of their words. "Eridanus?" Envy asked slowly. They'd never even heard of such a place. Envy had never left Orion before in their entire life. They snorted soon after, though, painting themselves a visage of carelessness. "Where is tha-." Envy needn't have bothered; they were cut off as the huge gator stormed off, presumably leading the way to the mysterious place of Eridanus.
Envy took a few glances around to ensure no-one was looking, and then lowered their head and slunk after.
-exit Envy-
"Speech looks like this."
